Breakfast is all about comfort and homestyle cooking. Sometimes it is not the variety that matters in the breakfast menu, it is the environment and causal vacancy that the establishment can hold in providing that breakfast feeling. Caleb is a fantastic server, conversationalist, and gentleman. He told us his two favorite entrees are the chicken fried steak (grits and eggs over easy, whole wheat toast) and the chilaquiles, with the chicken fried steak being the breakfast he ate every day for THREE YEARS. And the chilaquiles are recent, he said I guess those are the runner up.So yeah, we got the best chicken fried steak in the world at this place in the middle of nowhere, TX. It had a perfectly crispy and seasoned crust that didn't detach from the steak (I'm a chicken fried steak connoisseur). Grits? Fantastic. I'd absolutely go back! But most importantly, this seems to be a community stronghold for the small town it calls home, and in one out of every three places you go will have a person in a Butter and Grace shirt--But yeah. Definitely a great spot.

The restaurant is family owned and really cares about their customers. Great atmosphere! The food is really good. I've had many items on breakfast and lunch menu and they were all delicious! They also have a Friday night all you can eat catfish and homemade pies.

This was the second time come here and it was BETTER than the first-- by far! The service is great, everyone was friendly and kind! The atmosphere was really settling and peaceful while my kids and I were eating, it made us feel like we were at home. The food was AMAZING! It's been a while since I had great French Toast, not made by me!!Will be coming back soon!!

As I always do, I'll try to give a complete review with the good the better the bad and the worst. This is our first time here, hubby drove to take to me to brunch and this placed popped up. When we got here the place was full, and it gave a good vibe. We immediately got placed in a table, to the right next the window, all the waiters were young males, wearing shirts and a uniform t shirt. Time was 1:50 pm and we ask about the coffee and pie offer .. he said it starts at two. We asked if he could wave the 10 minutes and he said no. I ordered a coffee and my husband order a Coke Zero. The guy forgot to bring the drinks for a very long time .. then he brought them and took our order, so I asked him it's always two can I get the coffee and pie offer and he said ok. Food come and it was disgusting. Mine did not have any salt whatsoever, it was dry and tasteless.. the grids were cold. I forgot to mentioned we did get corn bread that was delicious .. fresh and tasty. Actually that is the only thing that we enjoyed. Then my husband who usually never complains asks me to tastes his plate. It looked like that it had just come out of a can, cold and dull. He said the name of the plate included the words "hot" but it was not spicy neither was it heated. We did not finish the plates. And we asked for the pie.While we waited I noticed one of the servers sitting in one of the tables behind the window, the table had two woman and one young lady. The lady passed a vaping device to the server, to which one of the other women prevented her or made some movement to tell her to hide the vape.. so she put it down, wrapped on a napkins and passed it to the waiter.. I told my husband what was going on and he started to turn back to see if they noticed we are enjoying the view but the acted normal. Eventually the server hit the vape and went back towards the kitchen. It turns out that one of the ladies that was sitting there enabling this situation stood up and came to our table to ask " is everything fine " .. to which I was going to complaint by my husband would not let me .. We waited and waited and then the original server brought the receipt .. we told him we were waiting for the pie.. at this point it was around 2:30 he sent somebody else to check on us. Two different guys came and we told them we were waiting for the pie.. Pie never came, at this point the place is basically empty, there is only one table with 6 or seven people and a table with two and us. Our server comes now apologizing that they are having a rush hour and finally brought the pie.Here is the picture of the pie.You could tell it has been there for at least a couple of days .. wasn't fresh at all. My husband who is a foodie is thinking .. we may come back and order something different to give this place a second try. I won't come back. It's not worth the 33 + 5 tip dollars we paid for food we did not event eat .. and by the way they did charge the coffee and the pie separately. And they didn't refill the drinks

I have to say the second time we went was better than first. The food is very good the portions are big. I love the Southern classic. Service is good as well. The setting is good but a little more loud on Sundays. Overall, it was a very good place.

The atmosphere was awesome. Home cooking kinda place with that warm cozy feeling when you dine. Our waiter was busy but very personable and accurate with our order. The food was ok. I ordered the vegetarian omelette. It didn't have much flavor but it was filling. The grits were delicious. Overall it was a nice experience being able to have brunch with a close friend to celebrate her birthday.

we took a chance on a Sunday morning to see if we could get in. we are so glad we did! the food was great, but our server, Kaiden, was one of the best waiters we have ever had. he kept our drinks refilled and kept us updated on our food. I will be back!
