We were in Dallas visiting our daughter for the weekend and of course need to find some good places to try. Yelped a few brunch spots near my daughter's school and this place pop up with mixed reviews. This was also inside a mall, nice upscale mall, but wasn't quite sure. We gave it a try anyways, who doesn't like a good adventure. Walked up as a party of 4, the young lady at the front said about 30min, no big deal, it was very full inside. Got my alert by phone that our table/booth was ready. Place inside is nice, dark wood and good lighting. We sat near the bakery counter... oh boy is all I can say. Re-Re was our server, she was great. We ordered the sweet bread basket and some biscuits, both were very good. I had the 2 breakfast tacos with house potatoes, At first we I ordered I thought 2 wasn't going to be enough. Well it sure was, those tacos were huge. My daughter had the stuffed French toast, her friend had an omelette and my wife had the Croqueta Madame. Everything was really good. Now to go we ordered a cinnamon roll, wow is all I can say. This is definitely a spot to enjoy some good food with good company.

The service was average. The mimosas was flat. The potatoes had rosemary which was nice. We sat on the patio so it was cute.

First things first, come here at a decent time to get on the waitlist as there normally will be a wait. They have outdoor seating and a coffee bar that you can use while waiting. There are some paid parking areas near the restaurant as well if you can't find street parking. The interior of the restaurant was very fun. It felt old and rustic, like an old church building (gave me Church and Union vibes from Charleston, SC). The service was pretty attentive as a whole. The coffee was terrible, specifically the cold brew. I drink only black and stout coffee, and this made me want to gag. The food was not great except for the fried chicken and waffles. The biscuit I ordered (I'm a huge biscuit fan) was so dry, it kept breaking on my fork. The dessert did look promising though. I did not have room to try it though.

Food is always delicious here and I have the hardest time choosing what I want! My husband had the Monterrey enchiladas with a side of jalapeño bacon and I had the breakfast tacos. They were stuffed to the brim with bacon, eggs, potatoes, onions, and cheese. We also got a caramel pecan cinnamon roll to go because we couldn't help ourselves!! Love the ambiance here, every area is unique and so homey. Too bad parking is a ridiculous $17... also our waitress seemed to not enjoy her job and almost seemed upset at something, she never smiled or engaged with us at all. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it kind of put a damper on our brunch.

WHAT I ORDERED: French Ham Benedict, Fried Chicken and Waffles, Banana Bread French ToastPARKING: Parking lot across the street but have to pay, parking can be a struggle INSIDE: NYC apartment vibes with the brick walls and greenery, went earlier Saturday and sat right away with no reservation, friendly service, bathrooms available towards the backTHE FOODS/DRINKS: French Ham Benedict - My favorite, buttery flaky croissant, the asparagus brings a uniqueness to the dishFried Chicken and Waffles - The chicken was imoist but wish the chicken skin was crispier, waffle is thick and the syrup pairs well with the dishBanana Bread French Toast - Cinnamon-y goodness with a slight nuttiness from the walnuts, loaded with whip cream, it's a heavier dish so something could sure with the table

The place was okay. I don't know if it was because they were busy or what but the service was ehh. I don't even know my servers name because they didn't tell me. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with eggs and potato's. The chicken fried chicken was good but not the best. My eggs were cold and the potatoes came with this spicy sauce that I didn't really like. They placed me by the patio door and were so cold when they kept going through it. I asked to be moved to another table due to this and it wasn't able to be done. I don't think I'll be back for brunch. Let me try again in the spring time.

Bread Winners is a really cool spot, especially this location. The interior looks like a house, with a greenhouse area, living room, etc. It's a really unique ambiance that I haven't seen captured like this at other Dallas restaurants. The food is also amazing - I highly recommend any of the pastries (I especially love the muffins!) or any sweet breakfasts. The avocado toast is probably the best I've had so far, it is so flavorful, and the bread is perfectly toasted and tastes like it is infused with olive oil. I have gotten the coffee in the past, and it is pretty good! I do not feel positively about the service. They have a tough time properly managing reservations on the weekend, which has resulted in me waiting for 15+ mins past my confirmed reso time. The hostesses at the front are unfriendly and act like you being there is an inconvenience. Servers are very neutral - they just take your order with no conversation, warmth, or care. This would be fine if they didn't prompt you to tip outrageously. The suggested tips on your check go up into the 30%s. Really jarring for a place with below average service. I would stop by for excellent breakfast food, but I would not expect anything great in terms of service.

Every item we ate was delicious! We started with the cinnamon roll, which was warm and soft. Then enjoyed the breakfast tots that had a slight kick to them. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. The chicken was nice and tender, while the French toast was soft and super tasty! Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. We went on a slower morning, but had a good service and no complaints. We would definitely stop by again next time we are in town!

this is my favorite breakfast spot. the uptown location is a gem. Every employee took their time out to greet us. The stuffed french toast was excellent. They also make the best fluffy waffles. Their bakery has so many wonderful items to take home.

We went here for breakfast when we were in the area. We were looking for a breakfast place that was open a little earlier, and this fit the bill. When you first walk in, there is a little to go bakery if you wanted to grab some pastries (and I think there was coffee too). We decided to dine in since we were planning to walk around the shop areas a little further up. It looks small at first, but really opens up. The decor was nice. It felt a little colonial. We were in a little tucked away section, which made the experience nice. I ordered the bananas fosters waffle. I thought it was pretty good. It was nothing too fancy, but overall tasted good. The banana, caramel sauce was a little on the sweet side, but the texture of the waffle was perfect. My husband got the ribeye steak and eggs. This came with steak, eggs, grits, and a biscuit. He said the steak was pretty good, but the grits were a little grainy. The coffee was standard good. You can tell it was made fresh, but there was nothing unique or special about it. This wasn't a coffee shop, so standard coffee is exactly what I was expecting. Our server was very nice and prompt. Overall, it was a nice experience with decent food and a fun atmosphere.
