What an amazing find! Yelp...Homerun again! Let me start. Did a quick review and was near by and decided let's do this...Pulling in you couldn't help but notice that They were PACKED! Always a good sign!Greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our waitress was fantastic. She went through the menu, pointed us to the sides on the wall and talked about the specials. Turkey and dressing and pot roast. What? Turkey and dressing asap. Orders the green beans and mashed potatoes. My sis opted for breakfast...order a plate that had just about everything a breakfast Aficionado would want. She loved it.I'm a home cooking snob....and was pleasantly surprised. Turkey and gravy moist and tasty. Green beens were seasoned to perfection and the mashed potatoes were to die for. The dressing was good...I love sage and would have liked it to have some BUT know not everyone loves Sage like I do....regardless it was still good. When the food is good and service is exceptional that's all that matters! Perusing through the menu at the very end was some history about the restaurant and its owners. A huge smile entered my face...and I just nodded to myself. Bravo to all.

Great breakfast & experience!Just what we were looking for. A great breakfast / brunch restaurant (not many options in this specific area). The service from Renee was impressive. She was on top of it, and kept the excellent coffee warm for our extended visit. The breakfast bacon enchiladas (salsa & ranch) were unique and very good. Large restaurant, but the layout keeps a cozy feel. This will be a regular for us.

This was my first time coming here. I brought my mom here. She was with me after dropping off my pet at the crematorium. My dog had passed away the night before and I was definitely in an upset mood. Thisestablishment and the atmosphere and the waitress who helped us raise my vibe and really brought my spirits up. Our waitress went out of her way to help us and she was doing a really good job with everyone around. You could tell that she knew her stuff and she was a pro. All of the food was very delicious and hit the spot. My mom and I were both very satisfied and we're happy that we stopped at this place. I'll definitely be back here for some more of this good home cooked food.

This is a great place to grab some brunch. Shirley was a great waitress, & the food was yummy! I thought I was hungry, but there was enough food to take home lol They also serve lunch & dinner, & I would love to come by again when where in the area.

Great breakfast! JaDonn (aka Jay) took great care of us - and she has a great sense of humor! Pancakes are plate-size, you only need one - and they come with real butter and warm syrup!!! Eggs and sausage were delicious and my combo came with a biscuit too, for which I had no room! Jay gave me a box. We would definitely eat here again when in town. Thanks!

I went here on a Wednesday night and they have dinner specials. My dinner was $8.99 and it included 2 sides. They were not busy and it reminds me of the Dixie House, almost identical setup. My food was not bad and worth eating here again. My only complaint is to add a 3rd side it cost $3.99 and that is just to expensive. I will give them a try for breakfast soon.

Went for breakfast, stood at the podium for a few minutes watching two ladies having a conversation behind the counter. Didn't even acknowledge my presence. I'm 6'6" tall, I'm sure they saw me.I left never to return! Many other establishments to spend my money.

Our first time to visit and the breakfast we had was great from the fluffy favored pancake (1) to the kitchen sink omelette to the fresh and flaky biscuit for the gravy all the way to the French toast & bananas. We had to take a doggy bag home for tomorrow's breakfast WHICH I just had again! The service was great. Everyone is "sweetheart" to "honey" with quick refills and checking on your needs. Quiet and cozy and the place was packed!We will be back!

Food was terrible, I have no idea how anyone would eat here. We had the chicken fried steak, fried okra and mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak looked like it came from Sam's box, okra was soggy :( and the mashed potatoes were cold and lacked flavor. I had a salad which was as soggy as the okra. I have no idea how this place gets more than a 1 star but I would never recommend Blue Mound Cafe. 50 dollars later my wife and I left hungry since we couldn't finish our meal. Please stay away from this place if you have any taste buds.

Manager patti hinton is mother of the owners and horrible to deal with.Very argumentative when I inquired about the HORRIBLY bad and worn carpet.Only had 1 waitress for entire resturant and cared NOTHING for her welfare.On 2nd visit she charged me a processing fee, when I inquired about it, she retorted at me " it is on the front door" but it is NOT!!she sent waitress to show me and prove me wrong, waitress told her its not present, the ran her mouth at me "every business is doing it"In the end the waitress told me dont come back. patti is in NO WAY a manager, doesnt even do her own job!!!!
