We have been going to Blue Fish for 20 years. Ow that most locations are closed , this is our new spot for high quality sushi. Great modern feel inside, great music, and awesome service. Jackie was our sushi chef at the sushi bar and he was so personable! Drinks were great. We hade a lychee martini and gin martini. Only needed one! We had the Ahi Tuna Roll, Toro Roll, and Sundae Roll. Delicious and high quality!! Give it a try!

Ok. I'll keep this super short. But just in case: TLDR: flavorless, disappointing, dry, diarrhea Ordered deliveryHand rolls both regular and premium were so flavorless. For like $40+.....that was very disappointing. The wrapping is very smart...but in order to figure it out you have to destroy the first one you eat bc the directions are covered by the food.Takoyaki balls did not come with bonito flakes. I was SHOOK.The fried chicken bits were so dry and over cooked. And then...the very best part---a short while later....I'm trying to go to bed, I get severe pain in my stomach and...let's just say, I got to spend a lot of time in my bathroom. This one is a big hell no.

I recently visited Blue Maki by the Bluefish, and while the experience was decent overall, I don't think I'll be rushing back. One of the biggest disappointments was the menu--it only listed the names of the dishes, with no pictures or descriptions. This made it really difficult to know what was in the rolls, leaving us to ask our server for extra help just to figure out what we were ordering. It felt unnecessarily complicated and took away from the dining experience. That said, the calamari was a highlight--it was fried perfectly, tasted fresh, and had a nice texture. But aside from that, the lack of menu clarity and the overall experience just didn't stand out enough to make me want to return. Blue Maki might be worth a try for some, but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for.

Was surprised to see this place open for lunch on a Saturday so finally got to try it out, and the food did not disappoint. We got the shrimp tempura for the appetizer and it wasn't overly fried, and breading was light and crisp. We also got a sashimi dish that was for $100 for two people, and there must have been at least 15-17 pieces of fish. It was a surprise not only the amount of fish, but the quality of the fish on the dish, such as uni, tuna, salmon, mackerel, just to name a few. Very simple dish; no need to add anything else as you can taste the quality. The dish also came with soup, and salad. The restaurant has a large bar, and plenty of other seating. Parking is plentiful, but this plaza gets very busy. The only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars was because of our server. Our server appeared to be either not trained or aware of how sushi restaurants function, didn't know the menu, and went as far as picking up then fish collar with his bare hands as the chef requested it from our plate to fry the collar as a treat. The server also forgot about our soup and salad that came with the entree, and closed out our bill prematurely. However, I will be coming back, but just hoping to have a better server.

Chef Jackie Omakase is awesome, we came party of three and we had fun throughout. Kevin, the manager also made our night more enjoyable and his complementary drink at the end. Wonderful open sushi bar and beautiful night light, very nice atmosphere.

I find that I keep coming back to this spot when I want to treat myself. The sushi here is always so good, it's worth the price every time. They've made some changes since the last time I came, updating the menu and ditching the plastic water bottles in exchange for glasses. Their new menu doesn't have descriptions of the handrolls, so I recommend looking up the menu on Yelp in advance if you're a chicken like me and too shy to ask the staff yourself haha. Hopefully soon I can come back and try the omakase!

Our favorite hand roll place changed their business and we were so bummed. I just so happened to look-up "hand roll" today hoping to find something similar and came across this review. We were in early so the place was near empty, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. As we were leaving the crowd was coming in. We loved the decor, very fresh, clean and invitingOur waiter with the fresh fade was really friendly and provided top tier service, he also made great drinks. The sushi chef was also very kind and made some killer hand rolls.I'd highly recommend this place. It's in the shopping plaza, but on the side streets there not the main area.

Follow a dfw food blogger, and she recommends this sushi lounge place. It was a late night craving, and they were still open, so I decided to go to Carrollton and grab a bite. The inside was very nicely decorated and clean. They have nice lighting, and I love the sushi bar area where you can see the chef does all the yummy magic delicacy! My server was very sweet! She's quick and attentive. I asked her about some popular handroll, and she recommends some of her favorite ones. I got 6 varieties. All were nicely wrapped in a plastic cover to keep the sushi wrap crunchy and fresh. You just pull the plastic wrap at the end, and it won't mess up the topping. Very cool and smart idea!! I also got the crudo samplers of different sashimi. Very fresh and yummy! They have my all-time favorite torch salmon belly! That was super delicious and lucky. I ordered 8 pieces to satisfy my tummy before the night end.It was very awesome food, and the service was top-notch! Will come back next time and try out more delicious dishes. Highly recommended! Was one of the best birthday food travel.

Finally visited after seeing all the posts on social media. The variety of hand rolls was impressive, offering a perfect balance of flavors and stuffed to the brim. My favorite was the blue fish and negi toro. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the presentation was top-notch. The ambiance was nice and the staff were attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be returning for more sushi adventures!Definitely get some hand rolls and the sampler crudo if you go!!

We had the BEST experience and food here!! We stopped in today unexpectedly and so glad we did. Firstly, the customer service is top tier. Secondly, the food is PHENOMENAL. Thirdly, the location is super convenient. Definitely recommend the toro roll, the rice cakes, and the wagyu sushi. We will 1000000% be coming back on a regular basis!
