Hubby and I decided to finally visit this spot and sadly, we weren't impressed. The ambiance was very basic, the country music was boring and loud, it had more of a sports bar vibe, and they were out of many items. We were greeted once we arrived but seated at a table closest the door when there was plenty of other seats. It was 40 degrees outside and people kept coming in, so that windy chill wasn't pleasant every couple of minutes. Not a big deal though, I just asked the server to move us to a table further down and it wasn't a problem. The menus needed to be wiped down, there was sticky residue on them. Again, not big deal. The down fall was when we ordered stouts for our flight, they were out of all of them. The drink menus should have been marked showing they are unavailable instead of having to find alternate replacements on the spot. We ordered several beers (a flight each - not on the menu) and I personally wasn't impressed by any of them except the Silo and Pecan Praline Amber Ale, which were both husband's, so I stole them from him haha. Those two were delicious! The price was great though for sampling different types. The flight trays had several water spots on them which gave a cheap dingy vibe. The country music was loud and I personally wish they mixed it up with maybe some classic rock or a music variety. Then they switched it to sports commentary for the playoffs game, which gave it more of a sports bar vibe. I personally wish they would have kept the music going since most of the patrons were families and music probably would have been a better sound option for the guests there. We ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and the Panini as our entrees. The food was delicious!! I tried my husband's panini and it was flavorful and perfect temperature. My Nashville chicken sandwich was flavorful as well and the perfect temperature and spice. My only recommendation would be for them to add more slaw to the sandwich. Overall the food was what made me give the brewery 4 stars. My husband ordered a dessert and again, we were told it was not in stock. Our hearts crushed again lol. So then husband ordered the Thin Mint Sundae and when he got it, I was a little surprised. It was literally scoops of mint chip ice cream, a scoop of chocolate ice cream, and a very small drizzle of chocolate fudge syrup. I was expecting atleast more fudge and maybe a thin mint cookie or something. It was very basic in my opinion. Luckily my husband loves anything sweet and he enjoyed it. We had high hopes but we will return again and give it another shot. Their pizza smelled and looked delicious, and hopefully their stouts will be in stock next time.

Nice new place in Prosper.I came for the beer, since I'm a beer need and have to try all the breweries in the area, but would come back foe the food. They have a pretty good selection of elevated Gastropub food. The wedge salad my wife had was huge and had a nice combination of flavors and textures with bacon and blue cheese crumbles, crispy onion strings, mini tomatoes, and ranch dressing.I had the Crispy chicken sliders, which comes with three small Hawaiian buns with slaw and a buffalo chicken nugget and three slices of pickles on the side. It had a nice mix of tang, spice, and some sweetness from the buns. The beer was good, I tried mostly the stouts and one brown ale, but they also have quite a few other offerings, from IPA to wheat ales and saisons. If you're in the area make sure to give them a try.

I'm originally from the PNW so I'm not stranger to a brewery. I'm used to a brewery having excellent food and drinks. And that's what I expected at black hawk. We had dinner here for the first time and we were shocked at how awful the quality of all of our food was. The jalapeño poppers weren't cooked all the way through, the onion rings were over cooked. The kid's Mac n cheese was clearly just boxed Kraft and it was old. My two year old wouldn't touch it and that's saying a lot. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the chicken was so small it didn't even fill the bun. So disappointed in the food here and I honestly don't know how this can be resolved. It was that bad

Gorgeous day. Sat upstairs with almost 360 views. Flights and food. All very good. Very eclectic variety on the beers. The only thing that needs improvement is that management needed to anticipate that half of Prosper would want to be outside on a gorgeous Saturday. There is not enough staff to handle this crowd. Coming back though. Hopefully the staff can handle it.

Just moved from Austin after living in the heart of Texas that has the best breweries. This place did not disappoint. They have two bars--and the upstairs patio is amazing! Food is great and has a good variety. Not to mention - great service!

First of all this is NOT a BREWERY. Sure they brew a few beers there (I liked 1 of the beers in my flight) , but they serve bottles of Coors and Miller, along with wine and cocktails. This is pretty much a Shakertins so go with that in mind. I was there on a slow weeknight so I can't say much about the service. Though walking up the stairs after an empty downstairs, a manager told us to be patient/expect a wait, they "just got slammed". I figured I found Prosper's hot spot for Monday Night Football, only to find 2 pairs at the bar and less than half the seating filled. I don't want to speculate so I'm going to go back on a weekend night and see this operation in full swing.

Loved their upstairs covered patio with a variety of seating options. We were able enjoy the beautiful sunset sky from the bar height table. Service was good. Public parking near by had plenty of spaces. This was our first time visiting and we wanted to sample their beers. They have a lot of fruit infused beers to choose from, in addition to stouts and IPAs. As for food, everything was fresh and tasty. I really liked their chicken sliders, with spicy and crispy chicken. Onion rings were well seasoned. I wish they had more vegetarian options for entrees, may be just a veggie or black bean burger patty! Overall, it was an enjoyable evening, we will revisit for sure.

I went here for a singles event that ended up not happening. I decided to stay and have a drink at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and attentive. After looking over the menu, I started getting a little hungry. The bartender recommended their pizza saying they make the dough fresh. I wasn't feeling that hungry so I went with the tacos. These things were amazing. The spicy slaw and the pineapples played well with the shrimp. The bar itself is very large, with a big upstairs bar. I'm still not used to this Texas heat so I stayed downstairs. Friendly service, big beer selection, and terrific food. Definitely a spot I recommend

First of all this is a welcome addition to downtown Prosper and the future prospects for this place will be amazing. Visited on a Saturday for lunch and ate upstairs because the lower level had a 20min wait. We wanted to eat up on the balcony anyway. Service: 3.5/5 - lots of people working and lots of people standing around in groups talking to each vs attending customs. Wait to order and to get follow-up was lackluster especially with so many people on staff.Food: 3./5 what we had was mid at best. Rueben was average, nothing spectacular. Had higher expectations because it was a "Chef Recommend item".Smash burger was also about 3/5, just not anything you would remember. However the fries are really good!Atmosphere is 5/5. I will be back and hopefully the other food selections are better.

Atmosphere: 4/5I came here on a Sunday afternoon. It was surprisingly dead. The bar and restaurant as a whole are beautiful and spacious. Seating is comfortable and family friendly. There are a ton of TVs all around the restaurant (not just at the bar top) for sports which is why I initially came here. They had a few different games playing so definitely something for every fan.The bar itself was VERY clean and tidy, which I appreciated. Rick, the bartender, made thorough effort that everything was spotless which I love to see as a customer. My main complaint with the atmosphere was the music. They played country, which is totally fine, it was just very sleepy country. Not much energy in the music and more like stuff you'd slow dance to in a dive bar. Mix this up with more modern pop-country and I think they'd see a more energized crowd. Drinks: 4/5I only had 2 cocktails while I was here; the Black N Mule and the espresso martini. - Black N Mule: this was good, but a bit too sweet and not gingery enough. If you like sweet cocktails and want something fruity it is worth trying.- The espresso martini is SUPERB. Rick executed this perfectly and it was very well balanced. Highly recommend. Food: 5/5Food was delicious. When I browsed the menu online initially I wasn't terribly impressed as it looked like your basic bar food. But there were a few standouts so I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. Everything was incredibly well executed. The specials really tipped the scales too.- Coconut Shrimp - delicious! Not a ton of heat in this dish but the flavors were incredible and exceeded my expectations. - Mojito Lime Chicken with Orange vinaigrette: a pleasant surprise. I initially wanted an elevated salad but the menu didn't appear to have anything that fit that bill. This was the chef special of the day and I hope they make it a staple! It's SO flavorful. The only concern I had was there were a few bites of chicken that I was uncertain if they were fully cooked (due to texture, not temperature or appearances) but this could be me being paranoid. The chicken was also very flavorful and juicy. I would order this again. - Brownie Sundae: a pleasant surprise! I expected your basic cold/dense brownie square with a dollop of ice cream on top. But the chef made tweaks that took this to an outstanding level. Probably the best brownie I've had in a couple years. Service: 4-ish/5This is the one area that I'm back and forth on. If you had asked me what the service was an hour into my visit, I'd say a 2.5-3. But by the end we were sitting at a 4.5-5. This is what has my overall review at a 4.I interacted with Amber, the manager, first. She is lovely, attentive, and has a great personality tailored to the service industry. Very pleasant and engaging. Outside of interacting with her, it was tough to get service from the first hour & a half of bar staff I encountered. I felt like I had to call from across the bar to get service/food/drinks as there were no check in's from staff. They were very kind and helpful when you could get their attention, but I didnt see the level of proactivity that I'd expect to see from a bar like this. Verbal & nonverbal check-ins with customers every 15-20 minutes should be standard, in my opinion. After the first hour and a half, a couple servers who were not my bartenders, improved my experience tenfold. Jason came around to check on me as he was inputting tickets (I was immediately in front of the bar service station) which throughout the rest of the afternoon led to a number of great food recs (the salad and brownie were both his suggestions) and engaging conversation. I cannot emphasize enough how pleasant and professional of a server Jason is and how much he specifically turned around my impressions of this bar. The interactions with Jason seemed to spur a whole new (and engaging) side of my bartender Rick as well and the service and experience on all fronts improved significantly from there. It then felt like a bar I would *want* to become a regular at.From the backstory I gathered, it seems the owner is well aware of past service based complaints and inconsistencies in training and is taking big steps to improve. The manager Amber was hired to revitalize the bar and create consistent and quality experiences. A purge has happened in non-compliant staffing and those who remain are being retrained and brought up to a higher standard. From what I learned, this bar has a lot of exciting things on the horizon (seasonal offerings!), and they have the framework and now an actionable plan and leadership in place to make it something really incredible. I imagine by mid November this spot will be *the* place to be.All in all, I would recommend and I'm excited to see the improvements come to fruition!
