El restaurante está muy bonito y bien ubicado y cuenta con parking. Con respecto a la comidas: Morocho y arepas súper ricas. Las papas fritas saben literalmente aceite, aquí daría mi punto negativo. La atención buena pero no hablan inglés por lo menos la mesera que nos tocó. Pero eso se puede mejorar. The restaurant is very nice, well-located, and has parking available.Regarding the food: The Morocho and arepas were super tasty.The French fries, however, literally tasted like oil, which would be my negative point.The service was good, but the waitress who attended us didn't speak English. However, this is something that can be improved.Best mojito.

I'm really torn writing this review. The concept, the decor, vibe; it's all there. The food was delicious too. The service needs a lot of fine-tuning.... To preface this, I don't speak Spanish. But I love Venezuelan food. But not knowing Spanish led to some issues understanding the menu and communicating with the staff. None of that affects my experience. You can't get authentic food without getting this kind of experience....My issue was that I sat at the bar so I could quickly get in and out, as I was eating by myself. All I wanted to do was get my Arepa and empanada fix then head out. I saw this place on yelp and wanted to provide pictures to help get their reviews up. And another bartender at a local spot recommended this restaurant. It took 15 minutes after sitting at the bar and I finally had to go ask the hostess if I can get help. People kept looking at me, but would not approach. I was unbelievably frustrated as the restaurant was pretty much empty and many servers were looking at their phones just ignoring me. After I did eat, I paid with my phone using the QR code on the receipt. At some point between leaving my seat, walking to the bathroom, then walking to my car there was a misunderstanding that I didn't pay for my check. The hostess came out to my car asking for payment. Explained to her I have it on my credit card showing the charge. She then realized they made a mistake and let me go. It was just so awkward for both her and I. I eat here again 100x, but I would just do a pick up order. Unfortunate with the vibe being so cool. Hope to see the operations improve. The menu font looked strange like their printer messed up. Very difficult to read. Which I know must be frustrating because the material the menus are printed on is of high quality.

Big Yummy is an unexpected find. Next to the old Twilite Lounge, there's a spacious restaurant serving upscale Venezuelan-Latin fusion cuisine with an impressive craft cocktail list. The menu is surprisingly long, ranging from traditional arepas and cachapas (corn pancakes) to creative fusion dishes like sushi or hamburgers. Servers are professional and attentive and plentiful.I tried the pastelón (a layered dish with potato and cheese) and the Criollo breakfast (which comes with eggs, cheese, arepa, shredded meat. It was the perfect Venezuelan breakfast plate at $13.99). Pure comfort food! I needed more time to study the menu before visiting. There are lots of traditional Venezuelan dishes that you might want to research ahead. Coming back for the arepas (especially "La Cabimera") and apparently the nightlife? Beautiful new space hidden here in Near Southside serving authentic Venezuelan cuisine of all types - from the simple but delicious empanadas and arepas to steaks, pepitos, and hamburgers and sausages.Communication was halting with the friendly waitstaff, but we managed to get our choices exactly as we ordered. We loved the empanada and will be back to try all of the flavors. I don't know what that sauce was that was served with three empanadas, but I'd like a bottle to bring it home. The pork chop arepa was a LOT of food and very different from the arepas that I'm used to. I enjoyed the cheese arepa, too.

My first experience with Venezuelan food, and it was amazing! My sis and I tried the cachapas with friend pork and the super cabinmera.Y'all, the portions are bountiful, and so are the flavors. Thank you, Big Yummy, for joining the Fort Worth food scene...we welcome you and thank you for bringing something new and delicious!

GORGEOUS inside! Had a little trouble because most of the staff speaks only spanish, but they offered to use phones for translating. The menu has some items that seem to be mistranslated into english, for example, Roast Beef we found out actually meant Carne Asada! Just dialectical things, I'm sure, but important to note in the event you're craving carne asada. Food was unique and delicious. They did not have Diet Coke when we visited, but Coke Zero was offered and accepted :) Staff was kind and accommodating to our limited Spanish-speaking.

This place has some AMAZING food and the environment is clean and well decorated. I can only hope they do a better job with the menu...it's too much/big and it's not English, which is ok, but there is no description of what it is. The print is tiny and blurred. The language barrier makes it difficult to know what you are getting. Put a description of what it is on the menu please. Example. Russian salad equals potato salad, what do you call a potato cake/paddy. We should not be asking or not knowing what food is on a menu. Very similar problem to Indian restaurant menus. This place is a five star restaurant if they didn't have the menu/language confusion (lack of food description) I know people that want to try this restaurant out, but don't go after looking at the menu online. This place should be packed every day they are open. I'll gladly change it to a 5 star review when I can go in and read/understand the menu. Thanks

I am very surprised about the explanations that the owners had given to some complaints about the food, drinks and service that was given on a celebration last Saturday January 18th, 2024. Myself I saw the owners vaping and having a good time while the staff was working like crazy to try their best to serve people. Lot of mistakes and not surprises. They new what was coming but did not care. They just asked the staff to handle it and survive. Terrible service. Terrible food. Not to mention the drinks. It is really sad that they did not care. Especially when they have other locations. I can accept apologies for people that do not have experience but not these people.
