This is what local fests/fairs are all about. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Main Street Art Fest action and Deep Ellum Art Fest shenanigans- but this is what I love. Locals peddling thier products they have spent hours crafting with love to others in the community. And the city was so supportive of the vendors- the city employees working the event were constantly making rounds insuring everything was going well and the visitors were having a good time. The Mayor even came around and was shaking everyone's hand and taking selfies with the booth vendors. I see you, Mr. Mayor Jim. They had a ton of food and local bands/ performers as well. My favorite was Poly Hwy- go check them out on FB. They were Polynesian and had a very island-y vibe. It was the perfect chill music to have playing while you stroll around. John Tipton was second- dude if you are reading this- that was the best cover of Bad Leroy Brown ever! And all of this was FREE! Silver Dollar Winery was serving up vino- although I wish they would have had the frozen peachy wine slushie- hint hint for next year guys ;). Crazy Cowboy was smoking up a storm and slinging brisket sandwiches and Rahr beer. La Rosita truck was also there in case you had a hankering for a taco. Bedford is a hidden gem guys, real talk. It was a beautiful day and a great spot for all this fun. Bookmark this and meet me there next year!

Quaint little art fest with friendly people and great lines of vendors and artist. It's not as crowded as the other arts fest I've been but I like it because the kids can enjoy themselves too without the parents/guardian worrying about them getting swept by a big crowd.

Great little arts festival. Music, Food, and lots of arts and crafts and a beautiful day to hang outside. The girls are over doing an outdoor art class, so I'm just sitting in a pool chair (no pool, it's a parking lot) listening to John Tipton who is belting out some acoustic songs. I could sit here all day, but the snell from the food trucks keeps wafting over, so i must go to the food trucks and soon.I'd type more, but too hungry.

I had a blast hanging out at the Bedford arts festival! I grew up in Bedford so it was neat to finally get to be apart of the annual festival by helping in one of the booths! We got lucky and got placed right between the food and the music..and who doesn't love food and music?! All of the bands were a hit! As well as the food. I personally had the pulled pork sandwich from crazy cowboy (ummm talk about delish!). I actually enjoyed that the festival was a bit smaller than others I have been to. It made the atmosphere very relaxed and I felt completely safe. It was a great way for children and families to enjoy the absolutely beautiful weather. I loved getting to see the many artistic talents throughout each booth. I will definitely come back next year. Bravo, Bedford!

This is a review of the Bedford ArtsFest. Except for the music and the beer, this was a disappointment. There was barely any actual art, there were far more artists participating last year, the craft vendors were nothing special and there was little choice for food. My pulled pork sandwich from Crazy Cowboy's was OK, but a little skimpy and dry. Their BBQ sauce has no kick. The music was pretty good. Dale Watson was exceptionally good, a true professional country artist with a very tight band. This is a nice small festival to start the Spring season, but it needs to step it up a little or it will probably fade away. The Boys Ranch phase one renovations are almost complete and the park is looking good. My friends from surrounding towns were more impressed with those park improvements than the actual festival. Here is a selfie of me and the yelp* babe from the festival. Like my attractive yelp* sunglasses?
