Food was FABULOUS.Service was OUTSTANDING.Ambiance is solid...but no background music so definitely the sounds of a restaurant. Still good.

Let me first say that I love Julian Barsotti's other concepts. I'm a regular at Nonna & Fachini (great Italian spots). This was my first time eating at Barsotti's and I was very underwhelmed. I'm giving them 3 stars because I love his other restaurants but this experience felt more like a 2 :/The best thing we ordered was the chopped antipasta salad. It was good but I prefer the one from Il Bracco. My fiancé ordered the linguine shrimp scampi for his entree and I got the spaghetti with plum tomatoes. Unfortunately, I didn't realize mine would be over al dente noodles with a glorified marinara sauce. I thought the dish would be more of a butter, garlic, and wine sauce with blistered tomatoes. The shrimp scampi was pretty lemony and the shrimp seemed a little fishy for my taste. And the wines we had were super disappointing for an Italian restaurant. Really wanted to like this place. Hope this was just an off night for them. Food presentation and restaurant were beautiful!

Cool old school vibe, great service, and the food... we had garlic bread with ricotta and fried calamari - both excellent. For entree I had the chicken Parmesan with vodka rigatoni. Everything was VERY good!

It was okay. Food was better than average. Server looked disheveled and the music didn't make sense. Fine Italian with Fergie?? The wine menu is genuinely all Italian which our server was knowledgeable about, but the overall experience was lacking. Could be really good with a few tweaks

Wow! First time here and it was great experience! The service was good, and did really good for how busy it was. The place was very adorable, which I loved! The food was excellent from apps, to the course! Wow, absolutely loved the pasta vodka and served recommendation too with noodles! Good choice! Can't wait to come back again!

What a find! This is the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. I wish I could get this level of food and service locally because it's phenomenal. Formerly Carbones, the southern Italian flavors are welcome and prominent. MB and I lunched here on a Sunday afternoon before heading to the airport. I was immediately drawn to the cozy interior and beautiful bar, but we sat at a table by the windows for people watching. I had the Shrimp Scampi Linguine after joking with our server that scampi is shrimp in Italian. The Shrimp Shrimp Linguine. (I'm here all week, folks!)The house-made linguine came with fat, perfectly cooked shrimp and an out-of-this-world sauce. I was able to eat all the shrimp and maybe 1/3 of the massive serving of linguine. Probably not that massive but we old people have smaller appetites! MB ordered the Creste Sunday Gravy, a delightfully spicy sauce with sausage served over tender creste paste, a unique extruded pasta that looks like little rollercoasters and holds the sauce in its texture. I highly recommend you get to Barsottis ASAP and manga!

Some of my favorite Italian food in Dallas! A very cozy neighborhood spot. The staff is always friendly and prompt, food is absolutely delicious. Their chicken parm is some of the best ever.

Ricotta with Garlic Bread, Vegetable Soup, Eggplant Parmesan, Chocolate Cake I think I would be very happy living at this restaurant and just eating the ricotta with Garlic bread all day. It is so mindblowingly good. The soup was decent and flavorful. Eggplant Parm pretty great. Chocolate cake was lovely--moist and not too sweet. Super cute interior with red leather booths and a fascinating wallpaper and decorations. Some parking in this area, but can get a little tough. Nice servers

After a long day of projects with my friend, we were ready to eat and wanted something hearty! We found Barsotti's and decided to try this place out. First and foremost, you get what you pay for. Pricing is more on the high-end side but it's so worth it. We ordered pasta dishes; mussel pasta with red sauce, mussel pasta with cream sauce. Appetizers with calamari-fried to perfection! Chef kisses. And the drinks were pretty good too, right amount of alcohol and flavoring. They didn't overdo the alcohol but we still had a good time, if you know what I mean. I love how this restaurant is in uptown Dallas but when you step inside, you feel like you're in a different country, like Germany or Scotland, somewhere European. Definitely recommend; 11/10. We will be back when we are in town. Till then, let's eat and sip!!!
