We stopped by here on a whim because their menu looked promising. After just the one try, I'd like to wish everyone the pleasant experience of dining here. I wouldn't even keep this a secret from my worst enemy. It's so good that everyone deserves a chance at this food. It's a fusion of TexMex and Cajun. Casual atmosphere and a huge patio. Very attentive and friendly service. Their crab cakes have actual crab (not the imitation). Their drinks (we tried the blackberry peach smash and pineapple mojito) have the perfect mix of alcohol and fresh ingredients. And the main dishes. Omg. We tried the TX red fish (a daily special) and the red snapper. The snapper had more of a Cajun flair (a huge piece of cornbread and their excellent gumbo accompanied the fish, scallops, crawfish, and sautéed spinach) than the red fish, which sat atop a bed of creamy garlic mashed potatoes. Both were impossible to stop eating. Because it was our first visit, we were given a tasting flight of four of their soups. All we could say was bring on the cold weather because we cannot wait to have each of those soups in a full-size portion. Unfortunately, we were way too full for dessert. Maybe next time. There definitely will be a next time.

Amazing Atmosphere and a quaint little place. Not to loud when fully seated either. We ordered the Pecan Crusted Cod and the Ruby Red Trout. The Pecan Crusted Cod comes with sauce on it that tastes much like the Coconut Shrimp sauce. While sweet not overly sweet! My favorite was the Ruby Red Trout. It was amazing! All the flavors worked very well together!!! Would certainly order it again. If I could give some feedback to management it would be to offer some fresh French bread, and have the staff point out the specials. Being our first time here we missed the specials on the board.Overall a 5 Star Experience and we will certainly be back!!!

My new favorite local spot! Some of the best seafood I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try something else. We mentioned it was our first time so they brought a complementary soup sampler. The gumbo was ok but the other 3 were fantastic. I didn't get a cocktail but definitely will next time. There were several I wanted to try. The ambiance and decore could use some work. It has the feel of a small bar in a strip center but the food was so good I don't care. Prices are affordable, especially for seafood. All day happy hour Saturday and Sunday!

This place is awesome! Its kinda low key location but lots of parking and easy in/out. Inside it's pretty big and a very casual vine. They have a bar.We came here on a sunday evening and it wasn't super busy. We were seated at a booth next to the giant chalkboard of specials, including some breakfast specials...hmmm.Our server was nice. He got us their soup sampler and all their soups are yummy and hearty. I can't remember the dishes we purchased but the food was prepared very well. We enjoyed it tremendously and will be coming back again.

These restaurants are blowing up all throughout the dfw! So happy for this family! Very humble and appreciative of their patrons! We walked in on a rainy Saturday on our way to a st pattys event and plopped down at the bar.A kid (anyone younger than 30 is a kid to me), greets us with a smile; asked if we were first time diners. WHY YES! I just knew a sampler of soups were coming my way per the other reviews.....nope....just complementary waters with lemon... :-/I was low key salty....but boy my food wasn't! ;-)The shrimp appetizer and gumbo were shockingly tasty. My mom's from Louisiana, so no one can touch her gumbo , but Mr. Anaya came close! My oysters were divine. There weren't punks either! Plump! Nice in size and flavor! My [unsophisticated palate having] eating companion opted for the fish and chips. Fresh grease and super tasty; had some challenges keeping the breading on, but I get it, that happens with this dish sometimes. I look forward to returning and trying other dishes! Congrats on another fantastic restaurant! I'm rooting for yall!

All of the stars are for the delicious seafood. We really enjoyed our dishes and all of the surrounding staff were very helpful and attentive. Unfortunately, I think our server either was having a bad day or not feeling well because she seemed to be struggling. She did say she was new but I think I the concerning thing was her attitude and body language. Not very friendly and seemed pretty bothered by it all. We asked for a few minutes to order our main meal and a few minutes turned into several during which we consistently watched her take other orders, settle checks, tell us she would be right back but never come, and walk by us repeatedly without even a glance. I finally had to stop someone and ask them if someone could take our order. When she was approached with this information, she appeared to scowl and walk in the other direction. Everyone has off days, but whatever was going on with her was evident. All of that aside, I definitely recommend Anayas. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with hush puppies and crab cakes which were both very yummy. A true quality crab cake! The crab bisque, fish as chips, and the dynamite shrimp were all very good. We will definitely be back and just hope for a better server experience.

I was so excited to try this restaurant in Frisco after hearing so many positive reviews. The service was excellent. They offered us a sample of four of their soups as it was our first visit and we thought each one was delicious. We started with the calamari appetizer and then each had a house salad with yummy chipotle ranch dressing. The salads are ample with mixed greens, bacon, and feta cheese. My husband had fried shrimp and catfish. Both were cooked perfectly and he said were wonderful. I had the Parmesan flounder with lump crab and I don't know if I've ever had a more delicious seafood dish. The fish was so light and the vegetables underneath were cooked perfectly! The tomato basil sauce was to die for. And the mashed potatoes were the perfect complement to the dish. As much as I want to try other items in the menu, I'm not certain if I could ever not get the flounder as it was just so uniquely delicious. Because we enjoyed the soup samples so much, we decided next visit, we will get the clam chowder and poblano soups too.

Oh I'm so disappointed just got home with my order. Fish is so dry still hot but dry and over cooked. Calamari I tried in the car and they should take the work crispy out of the name "crispy calamari" no crisp! So disappointed in this place was recalling looking forward to this meal now back to square one!

We've eaten there 3 times in the past month and the food has been great. We've enjoyed every fish and seafood dish we've had, the salad is fresh and the poblano cream soup was delicious. The happy hour drink prices are great!! Need to keep this one in Frisco. Enjoy!!!
