My friends and I came to this place last minute. I was completely blown away by how amazing the food was! The baked dates are a must have. My only suggestion is to add more salt to the steak, the quality of the steak was amazing but I feel some more salt would enhance the flavor. It truly is a gem in such a quaint small little town. Our service was impeccable and we were constantly getting checked on throughout our dinner. I couldn't say enough amazing things about this restaurant. We were able to walk in but it looks like people usually make reservations.

This evening my family and I visited across the street bistro for the second time. After the first time I almost couldn't believe that a gem of this caliber could be located in downtown Corsicana. I had to go back and revisit the filet that I had dreamt of since my first experience to ensure it wasn't a fluke. The blue cheese crusted filet is of the highest caliber steak you can have at a restaurant. I have visited steakhouses across the US and this competes with any of them. Doesn't matter if it's Bob's, Del Frisco's or any of the others in between the quality of the filet and truffle mashed potatoes are superb. Let me go on to say that our waiter, Malcolm, presented a first class dining experience. He was attentive, extremely well spoken, and perfectly informative. This restaurant will continue to be a go to spot for as long as it's around. Well done!

The Prickly Pear Moscow Mule was delicious although sipping it through a itty bitty narrow straw was too much effort. The Lavender 75 wasn't to my liking but that's what I often experience when trying new cocktails.....disappointment. The lobster bisque was sour..... not sure why it would taste that way. The crab and avocado snack wasn't bad but it just didn't have much seasoning. The crab cakes and scalloped potatoes weren't bad. The cakes had plenty of crab but needed a little something to make it memorable. The brisket burnt ends were tasty, but not over the top. The service was very good though. They use quality ingredients.3 1/2 stars.

Upon first entering they seemed a little discombobulated I walked in. I was asked "can I help you"...I'm like "yeah you can help me to a table"...are you open?Few decent bottles of bourbon Blanton's was there on my visit but they don't get it often. They only have one rye whisky...Well ice is the default for old fashioneds, no artisan ice available for cocktails.Wine list is passing for by the glass selection, real stars are by the bottle.For some odd reason there's an ATM in the backLobster Mac wasn't the most presentable and anemic on the lobster. Color reminds me of Kraft shells and cheeseShrimp tempura breading was crisp, although the shrimp inside was warm and not hot.Blacken salmon was a little undercooked and a little over seasoned.I may give them another shot and try a steak. My other protein selections for the evening where "out" which was disappointing.

My wife and went to this place for our eleven month wedding anniversary. I heard about it from an online video. It was a quaint place in the historic downtown of Corsicana. The decor was elegant and classy.Our server was friendly, prompt and attentive. I ordered the bouillabaisse and my wife ordered the sea bass with mashed potatoes and green beans. Then we topped it off with a slice of tuxedo cake. The meal was out of this world! I would highly recommend visiting this place.

We were a party of eight neighbors who wanted a nice dinner to celebrate valentines day. We all left very disappointed. The ladies mostly had the Chilean Sea Bass and the gentleman had steak. The Sea Bass was the WROST I, and our friends, have ever eaten. The fish smelled like old fish that had been sitting around for awhile. It had a fishy taste and was very dry, over cooked and poorly seasoned. WE did not want to complain at the restaurant as the company of our neighbors was great and we didn't want to make a stir in a crowded restaurant. The gentlemen complained their steaks were very unseasoned and of poor quality. The meal was price fixed, yet several were charged extra for their dessert which was chosen off the price fixed menu.. My husband and I have eaten at the Bistro several times before and the food was always very good. This meal was HORRIBLE and at $110 per person, we expected much better. On the way home, I was very nauseated and another lady had nausea and diarrhea starting the minute she got home and lasting all day Saturday. We are all very disappointed.

Never would have imagined such an excellent restaurant existed in Corsicana. Our group was blown away with the quality of food each of us enjoyed. My wife & I split the filet and could have cut it with a fork. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and did an excellent job navigating us around the menu. Lastly, wine prices weren't the usual 3X retail that most places charge. Never have figured that strategy!!
