The beef roll was so talked about and hyped I had to get it and it was huge. Never tasted anything like it, it was delicious! Sweet and savory and crispy. The soup dumpling was good as any other place? Nothing special. The noodle soup was comforting and the noodles seemed fresh! Delicious food and a large menu selection

I stopped in for lunch craving good Asian fare. We have a ton of great options around Frisco, and was encouraged by the 4 plus star reviews. The service was excellent--super friendly, quick, and prompt with table checks. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. Presentation was decent but lacked flavor. If it weren't for the exemplary staff, I would probably given 2 stars.

This is one of my favorite places! The food is absolutely wonderful! If you go, you have to try the Orange Chicken and Pork Soup Buns. The service is great and the food is always served hot. There are plenty of spots inside to sit down and enjoy your meal. I can truly say that I am a repeat customer!

My husband and I come here with some frequency and tonight's meal was better than usual. I think they give more attention to detail when the restaurant is not full. On a slow night food quality can go either way for any restaurant but I think for Cookhouse it skews for the better! I highly recommend coming on weekday nights. Don't be put off if you're a foodie and see the place is empty, the food you get may be better this way as I found out tonight! Also a tip about quality: if you get any fried dish like orange chicken or general Tsao anything, please eat it in the restaurant. The quality is spectacular right out of the fryer but somehow turns into regular average Chinese take out after you bring it home in a container. For their prices, it's worth it if you get the good experience of dining in but you'll be disappointed you paid so much for what seems like regular food if you take it home. Other dishes that aren't deep fried are great take out options like the eggplant or string beans.

I usually test out the chicken fried rice first to make sure they've got the basics down. 888 was great. The veggies were fresh and the chicken was cooked well. I like the smaller cuts of chicken because it's similar to the rice and small veggies. I also got the chicken egg rolls and pork dumplings. Loved them. The dumpling sauce was not my favorite though--too vinegar-y, not savory enough for my taste. Large portions. The restaurant was packed and there were a ton of to go orders. Clearly others think it's a good place too!

Impromptu Thanksgiving dinner! The cumin beef was juicy and tender with great flavor and tons of onion slices. The fish in chili garlic sauce is like a fish stew and is hard to stop eating over white rice. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and the service was friendly, personal, and around at just the proper intervals. And they had the Cowboys/Giants game on! This was the chill dinner we really wanted.

Thus far best orange chicken I've had in Frisco. I just recently moved here from Dallas. And the restaurant options are VERY limited. I had been craving orange chicken for a while and decided to give this place a try. Ordered online through here, Yelp, and they had my order ready within 15 minutes! The portions they give you are big! I had enough for lunch the next day.

We went here on a Sunday and the restaurant was absolutely empty. We ordered pork wontons in spicy sauce, pork dumplings, lo mein and cumin lamb. The dumplings in spicy sauce were really good. All other dishes were good but not the best. No complaints.
