Drinks are alright but do not buy the music credit the staff just skip all the songs you pay for and it's just a waste of money.

Such a fun spot. Mostly locals who know the area. Such a welcoming group! Great cocktails that are priced way better than the ones in the Stockyards. Had all the recommendations for us in terms of food, bars, and things to do while we're in town!

Cool little bar, we came last night for the first time. Bartenders were nice and quick.We came on a Wednesday around 8pm, was pretty slow and layed back. Probably not so much on Friday and Saturday nights.Crowd was pretty mixed; bikers, locals, one cowboy hat, and a rock-a-billy couple.Overall we liked it. A little far from the house so I don't think we will be regulars, but will definitely be back

Oh, the old Lone Star Cafe. We would go there after working at the Belknap Drive-in, 1 or 2am. Randy Cates and I would see this one dude there, shit face every time. He would ding up at least 2 cars getting out of the parking lot.

Went there this past weekend with some friends we sat down at table had a good time. The next morning I woke up with a rash or some reaction on my arm it's been 6 days and it's still hasn't gone way. I don't know if they used a dirty rag to clean the table or strong chemicals. I know got it from there because me and 3 other people have the same rash on the arm!

It was my first time going to 40's & shortys last Friday. The table my friends and I sat at was a little wet. Didn't think much about it. But the next morning me and 2 of my friends woke up with a rash on our arms. Almost a week later my rash still looks bad. I'm pretty sure the rag they used to wipe down the table was dirty.

Absolutely terrible do not got here. Complete scam. Do not play pool with the fat white bartender girl. She tried to hustle me for $50, I already knew what I was signing up for. She lost, I won. Afterwards, I pulled out my Venmo, gave her my phone to put in her Venmo ID and she tried to PAY herself $50 on my account. I grabbed my phone out her hand real fast cause something felt wrong from the get go as she wouldn't get her phone to pay me. She proceeds to try to apologize then say she'll get her phone but grabs her keys and leavesThis bartender WORKS here, Jocelyn Mabery (I have her Venmo remember?), and she tried to not only hustle me but also STEAL from me. I told another bartender and she completely brushed it off trying to accuse me for being in the wrong over nothing. Apparently from the regulars, she's family with the owner so you know nothing is gona happen to Jocelyn. They're all slimy af they're going to scam you for money and they're all in on it. I arrived at 40s and shortys was not even able to make it into the bar before altercations were occurring on the sidewalk as I was trying to leave and get in my truck. The owner followed me and assaulted me multiple times, trying to take my phone, so I could not call the police.

This place is S. K. E. T. C. H. Y. Drinks are super cheap and strong. But be forewarned, the crowd is less than desirable. It checked all of the boxes. A woman so drunk she could barely stand. Creepy men. A woman with next to no clothes on whose breasts were on full frontal display at one point. This is the same woman who took a man into the restroom at two points during the evening. Once I mustered enough courage to make a bathroom trip, I was immediately greeted upon entering by a used tampon applicator followed immediately by a bloody tampon in the toilet bowl. There's also no locks on the bathroom stall. So do not go here alone. In fact, do not go here, period.
