We originally had a reservation (not necessary BTW, downtown is empty on New Year's Day) down the street, but they had a special holiday menu we did not care for so we came here as a back up option, which ended up being the right choice. The retro chic ambiance is warm and inviting. It was empty when we first arrived at noon, but was filling up by 1PM.They also had a special menu, but were more accommodating. We started with bruschetta, which was delicious and jumbo size. My wife and Thing 1 had omelettes, Thing 2 had a grilled chicken sandwich, and I had the crab cake sandwich. The portions were huge and everything was great, the best crab cake I've had since visiting Maryland. The staff was professional and friendly.I most definitely recognize 3Eleven Kitchen. Happy New Year!

3Eleven Kitchen and Cocktails is a downtown restaurant located on N. Market St. Parking can be challenging, so be prepared to drive around to find a spot.I visited on a Saturday for a birthday dinner. My date and I started at the bar with drinks while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive. The first thing that caught my attention was the bar itself--stacked with dirty glasses in plain view rather than tucked away in a sink, which seemed unusual. Unfortunately, the mixed drinks were disappointing. My gimlet tasted more like a mocktail, and my date felt the same about his margarita. Given the lackluster cocktails, I switched to wine when we sat down for dinner. For my entrée, I had the citrus chicken with oranges, grapefruit, brown rice, a Thai chile glaze, and mixed vegetables--it was delicious. My date ordered the angry shrimp linguine, which he thought was decent but admitted he wished he had chosen my dish instead.A couple of things to keep in mind: while our waitress was fantastic, the overall service was very slow. It took over an hour for our meals to arrive. Perhaps it was an off night, but despite the delay, the staff remained friendly and professional.

So I came right at around 6 pm and the place was pretty much empty. I stood at the host station for about 5 min then just asked if I could sit at the bar. The host was talking to customers so no big deal. Also a really odd rotting smell when I entered. Shrug Finally at the bar and a nice lady acknowledged me - but took a bit to take an order. She appears to be only bar tender - got my drink after 10 min or so and politely asked for a food menu. Another 15 goes by and I get to order. So far so good. I'm not in any rush but neither is the staff. Meanwhile a worker is making seating for diners in the bar area as loud as he possibly can. Dragging chairs slowly and audibly grinding to anyone's ears- dropping things and it's just ridiculous. The bar is busy now. It's nice here. Good vibe- staff seems chill and the music is on point. I ordered citrus chicken and it was amazing. The chicken was tender and full of flavor. The sprouts were a bit undercooked but tolerable. I enjoyed the brown rice as well even though I lm not eating carbs ;) Overall was a decent evening. Thanks for eating with me - I'll see you again next time.

Did I wake up at 10am wanting a margarita... yesDid I stumble in here because nothing else around them was open... yesBut did they deliver!.... Heck yesIt is so hard to find a classic flavorful margarita these days. Everyone loves to add orange juice, sweet and sours, their house made syrups blah blah blah... but a true margarita lover knows all you need is the fresh lime, tequila, a little something sweet to make you smile, and shaken on some ice! Oh yeah and don't forget the salted rim! Mark did that! A classic flavor filled margarita without all the sugary hang over ingredients. Mark you are invited to the cook out because my mother and grandmother would just love to have more people around who know how to make this simple but famously popular drink just right. I will be back for the Margs made my Mark And to keep me from falling out my seat I'll order some lovely potatoes soup. Thank you to the Chief for also making this hardy master piece. I loved the cubed bites of potatoes in it. Overall service was lovely I was greeted by everyone there and was check in by them all as well which is kind and rare these days. Mind you it was 11 am so they weren't super busy but it still means something. I was given recommendations on other places to explore in Dallas. And warm smiles the whole time. Cute. It was still decorated from their new year neon party so it's fun inside. In the warmer months I will for-sure take advantage of their sun filled patio. Thank you again I'll be back

I truly enjoyed this restaurant. The service was excellent, now my Spinach Dip was so darn greasy I couldn't even eat it. Our Crab Cake appetizer was delicious though I can't lie. Our drinks were so good we both had two lol well I had two my friend had a few more. We did have a draining week we'll blame it on the severe weather on Tuesday. Lmao...overall I give this spot a 7/10Promise was a great server, and everyone else that helped to make our dining experience better. Thanks guys. Next we'll have to make sure our candle has been lit. Everyone else's tables candle was lit but ours. My friend noticed after two hours in smh. Lol...we did have great conversations though that's probably why we never realized it until we were asking for the check. Lol

Fun find while exploring Dallas. Stopped in for lunch. On Saturday, brunch ends at 3p and dinner me I starts. Since we arrived at 2:44p, we checked out both menus. We shared calamari (amazing), spinach & artichoke dip (very good) and the Tuxedo Bomb (perfect ending). The cocktails were good also. (Could have been stronger). Our waiter was attentive without hovering. Cute place. Cool ambiance. Will have to come back for dinner.

The food, service and ambiance was lovelyI was there for my friends birthday and Q (manager) and Craig (reservations manager) took such great care of us. We had a large party and they were very attentive to all of us. They even helped with taking pictures. The food and drinks were excellent and the music was outstanding (80's classics!) Everything was exceptional and I will be returning. Thanks everyone!!

Had a reservation and it was super busy so we didn't get to sit for 20 minutes but with the wonderful help from the manager he completely handled the situation and made me and my family's dinner so enjoyable and even gave us a drink on the house, definitely a place to try out in the downtown area!
