"My brother, dad and I were in town for a weekend (mainly to watch the Dallas Cowboys on sunday as my dad is a diehard fan). We hopped on Google reviews and Yelp and saw that this place was HIGHLY rated with 500+ aggregate reviews on BOTH platforms so we had to check it out. We hadn't made reservations beforehand so we were slightly concerned that it would be a long wait (arrived around 8pm-ish). Luckily, this particular location is pretty big and the wait wasn't too long at all. Maybe like 10-15 min?We were seated in a booth and looking over the menu, the mexican food looked super authentic. We ordered carne asada, flautas, a grilled steak fajita salad and brisket tacos. Literally 2 minutes after ordering, fresh warm nachos arrived at the table w/ 2 salsas (a red and brown one). I love that we were able to snack on these before the food arrived.The carne asada was probably my fave. The proteins at this resto are cooked really well. We were never asked how we wanted our steak cooked but it just arrived medium rare on the plate (which is perfect). Super juicy, tender and seasoned aggressively. The refried beans were so smooth and the portion sizes were nice and big.We also ordered some of their famous frozen margaritas. Quite strong but very tasty!At the end of our meal we asked our server Ashley to pack our leftover nachos and salsas on the table in a to-go bag for us and she instead came back with a to-go bag full of FRESH, WARM NACHOS with some new salsas for us to take home. This was incredible customer service. The to-go bag also had a clip on it to keep the nachos crispy and prevent them from going stale (I was still snacking on them in the hotel room 2 days later)!All of us were eyeing the hot apple pie w/ ice cream that arrived at a neighbouring table but alas, we were way too full to stomach any dessert lol.Authentic food, amazing service and nice, strong drinks. A place that lives up to every bit of the hype! Will definitely be back in the future if I'm back in town!"

"It was time for the annual Bday celebration. So, my family and I headed to Los Molcajetes. It was packed like usual. We reserved a table for eight and they allowed us to sit down even though the rest of our party would arrive in fifteen minutes. The Host Team wore their smiles and were very nice even tho there was a language barrier. Our Waitress was pretty and petite with a great spirit. She even had on a mask. She took our orders and brought our food out promptly. A server quickly brought out the Chips and Salsa for the rest of our party. I was so appreciative of that. Tortilla Chips were thin and not as fresh. Salsa was flavorful with a hint of Cilantro. The other Salsa was a bit spicy but no complaints here. I had a tall Mexican Coca Cola. I was excited about the Chicken Tortilla Soup. However, it looked better than it tasted. It was a bit underwhelming, not very flavorful even though it had a lot of ingredients. I didn't care for the chucks of Chicken. I prefer Shredded Chicken and it tasted like Tomato Soup? The Birria Taco is one of the best I've ever had. It included a hearty Taco Shell with a good portion of soft salty, Stew Meat, melted Cheddar Cheese, finely chopped Tomatoes and Onions with a hint of Lemon Juice. Yum.They have a lot of Choices on the menu. That's why, I saw so many to go orders. They have an employee that stands at the window strictly for to go orders. You can walk up to the subliminal window or you can walk in and go to the left to get your order.Overall, it was a good experience. My party seemed to enjoy their dinner and the service was fine."

"Amazing. Our further son in law proposed to our daughter here. They were very accommodating and the service was great. He reserved a room large enough for 30 people. The food was fresh and the mimosas were free flowing. I've been here before but a very long time ago. It's great to see that they are still open and doing well. We will definitely be back."

"My husband and I were on an unexpected quick trip to Dallas a few days ago and stayed nearby this place in Deep Ellum. Such a cool neighborhood! We hoped to grab some good Tex-Mex food while in town and Pepe's & Mito's had pretty good reviews so we headed there. We had no trouble getting a table and the staff was friendly and attentive. Lucky us, we happened to be there during happy hour! I had the house margarita on the rocks while hubby had a frozen strawberry margarita. At $5 each, they were a good deal while also being strong and tasty! They brought out warm chips with good salsa while we looked over the menu. I ended up getting a "House Speciality" item - Shrimp Enchiladas, which are served with rice, beans, and salad. At $18.95, I felt they were a tad pricey. But my husband had some of mine because he only ordered a Tortilla Soup. We would come back here again, especially during Happy Hour!"

"Our server (Bill) was amazing and although we have been here before - he guided us through the menu and showed us options that we had overlooked. It really helped that he had photos of the menu items he was suggesting and most (if not all of us) changed our menu selections based on his advice. The food was delicious!! And everyone throughly enjoyed every morsel. Top tip for a tasty appetizer - order the queso and then mix in one of the spicy salsa dishes (that comes complimentary with the chips and salsa)."

Seating includes booth and standard chair and table seating. It's quite spacious. "Open on New Year's Day! Enjoyed our lazy evening with a delivery from Taqueria Los Angeles. Steak and pastor tacos are good, the chicken quesadilla is big enough to feed three people in my opinion, and the salsas are hot hot hot. "Dos Arroyos is so good we went twice in one weekend. The fresh warm chips and salsa are a perfect start to the meal. The ambiance is warm and homey, making it feel like a hidden gem in a cute neighborhood in Richardson.The service is no-nonsense but efficient, and the food is an intriguing mix of classic Mexican flavors with a bit of a twist. The brisket enchiladas are outstanding, but the carne asada is even better.On our second visit, we went for brunch and were not disappointed. The breakfast quesadilla was massive and absolutely delicious. I had Agustin's enchiladas with mole sauce and steak, which were perfectly balanced. We capped it all off with churros that were the ideal sweet finish.The all-day happy hour is a huge bonus, and their house margaritas are on point. If you're in the area, Dos Arroyos is a must-visit."

"I started with a frozen strawberry margarita that was so strong it warmed my cold, little heart. For the main course, I had the green chicken enchiladas with Mexican rice and beans. The enchiladas were packed with flavor, and I especially appreciated the chicken being all white meat. The rice was perfectly fluffy, and the beans came with fresh cotija cheese on top.Overall, great food, a drink that hits harder than my caffeine habit, and a relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be back--next time, I'll try not to fill up on margaritas before dessert!"

"This place was everything we wanted it to be. Ma and pop all the way. Vibes were on point. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and personable. "Decent neighborhood tex-mex restaurant! We ordered chicken fajitas and the healthy plate. The chicken was perfectly cooked to be tender and juicy and had good flavor. The portions were perfect and the service was great and prompt despite coming here an hour before closing. Their salsas are tasty and they give you separate salsas per person which I liked. They also have chunk green salsa as well if you ask! We also ordered small guacamole which was sub par and they can work on the presentation. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here but it's a solid choice for your local tex Mex dining."

"This place was highly recommended by people that we talked to while visiting Grapevine. They were right. Food was amazing and portions were big. Although it was a busy night when we visited, they were able to sit us immediately Complimentary chips and salsa was already on the table. We started with the tortilla soup with avocado. It is very flavorful. The brisket quesadilla was delicious as well. Definitely a good place to eat when craving for Mexican food."

"10/10 recommend! They do not take reservations, but it's worth the wait. They have a bar in the front so you can have drinks while you wait. Service was so speedy at the bar and once we sat at the table, everyone was very friendly and helpful! I ordered the steak nachos and they were amazing, the quality of the steak was like a filet very tender and not chewy at all! The vibe of the restaurant was more along the lines of a steak house, very cute and western! Can't wait to return! Thank you for a beautiful evening!"

"I was visiting a friend in Dallas and decided to try some Tex-Mex cuisine while I was out there. I would say the food pricing is on the higher side ($20-30 per entree), but the serving sizes were large, so I wasn't too upset. I tried the brisket tacos and I unfortunately thought the meat was pretty dry. It was okay with the avocado and salsa, but the sides of beans and rice were also pretty lackluster. Definitely wouldn't come back for a meal.Here's what I did like though: the service was incredibly attentive and friendly, plus we constantly had a basket of chips at the table. That's honestly what kept this review from dropping to 2 stars. Their complimentary salsas were solid and the queso was actually incredibly delicious. The drinks here are boozy and they claim to be the inventors of the frozen marg. I did try the Frozen Strawberry Mango and it was sweet, but strong aka dangerous. Overall, I would recommend coming here with a group during happy hour and enjoying the nachos to share."

The salsa that came with the chips was a little runny that day Someone else had ordered the beef enchiladas, and she said it was bland with little flavor. "Everytime I go to Grand Prairie I find a new place I didn't know I was missing, and I'm a little mad at myself for not exploring GP more often. Where have I been the last decade? Guanataco has just been there existing without me and now I have 10 years of missed meals to make up for. You cannot beat the taco plate. $11.75 for 3 corn (flour for a small up charge) street style tacos with proteins of your choice, a side of rice and refried beans, and grilled onions and peppers on the side. Plus several salsas to choose from (the habanero is hotty hot hot so watch out. Go with the salsa verde for a delicious mild option). And you get a drink with your tacos -- all for $11.75. It's really a good amount of food for the price, which is low in today's world of prices. Any entree + drink under $12 is pretty exciting.I'm excited to come back for sopes or tostadas. Maybe I'll try the enchiladas. Or a burrito bowl. Whatever I get I know the filling will be flavorful -- the meat in each of my tacos (grilled chicken, fajita beef, pastor) was plentiful and juicy and really well seasoned."

"We came here in August 2024 after a concert at nearby Dickies Arena. The staff warmly greeted us and we sat at the bar. The beer was good and cold and went down nicely after a long hot day. The nachos we ordered were spectacular. They were loaded down with fresh ingredients. The pico de gallo and fresh jalapeño slices were great as was the queso fresco. The pile of goodness tasted fresh and clean - and the chicken we added was also delicious. The kitchen did a great job of making sure that the toppings were all throughout the layers. For the food and service and ambiance - we would definitely return."

"LaMargarita never disappoints! My nephew had to wait on his window tint over at a car dealership in Irving so I picked him up. He said he was hungry for Mexican food so I zipped him over to LaMargarita for lunch. I was sad I had already eaten because I sure would have gotten the Polo Maria, they're specialty dish. It's amazing.The nephew ordered the chicken quesadilla and the dish is HUGE for only $14! That quesadilla was so packed with gooey cheese and tender seasoned chicken. The guacamole was fresh and so tasty.Meals come with chips and fresh salsa. The salsa had great flavor with just the right amount of spice. I'm definitely doubling back in June for that Polo Maria and some guacamole with my chips. Great service overall. Don't let the strip center location fool ya, the inside is very stylish and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable."

"What an awesome 5-star evening our group had on a recent Saturday evening. For group dining, Los Jimadores has a wonderful private dining room that is very spacious and can accommodate a large group.Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and escorted to our dining room. Our servers immediately started taking drink and appetizer orders for our group. Hot baskets of chips, salsa and a wonderful bear dip were placed strategically around our tables. Chips were filled frequently so we never lacked for anything. By the way, the chips were fried to perfection with no greasy feel to them. I loved their salsa and the After our group got settled in with drinks and munchies, our servers, with military precision, to take our orders in an "orderly" way. My wife loves quesadillas, so she ordered a half of chicken quesadillas, perfect portion for her, and I ordered the La Bandera Platter, I was hungry. It consisted of a cheese enchilada topped with green sauce, chicken enchilada topped with sour cream sauce and a beef enchilada topped with chile con carne sauce. The three enchiladas were served with rice and beans. I probably ordered too much, but oh well, the platter sounded so good.After a short wait, a barrage of servers converged on private room with all of our entrees. It was amazing, each entree was delivered efficiently to the correct individual. Margaritas were refreshed, we were all ready to dig in. My wife loved her chicken quesadillas. My La Bandera platter was SO delicious, the three types of enchiladas each stood on their own deliciousness. I loved the variety of the enchiladas. Los Jimadores rice and bean which accompanied the enchiladas were so flavorful.I ended our wonderful gathering by trying Las Jimadores' flan. Oh my goodness it was one of the most awesome flans I've had in a very long time. My wife and I can't wait to return on our own to explore more items on the menu, plus try a flight of tequilas. "I went here for the first time last night. The space is open and airy. We were sat quickly. Menu looked so good. It was hard to order. I got the queso sand quesadillas. Delicious!! "Coolest bar in Deep Ellum!! The art alone is enough to wow you, but the food and drinks are phenomenal as well. I highly recommend ordering a tequila-based cocktail, and even more so a mezcal. This is the place to go if you want mezcal cocktails. I went here for dinner and drinks, but the vibe inside is so otherworldly and interesting, I'll definitely come back for brunch and happy hour. However, if you're sensitive about art or religion, this might not be the place for you ;) My only critique is the service could've been a bit better. Despite wanting to order a lot of items, our waiter was extremely rushed the whole time and it felt like we were being pushed along. I would've loved to sit there and soak up the ambience and continue ordering drinks (they still had plenty of tables open, so I wasn't just being a Karen, I swear )"

"Fun place to watch the Rangers vs Astro game with delicious food. Started with the guacamole, chips and queso dip. Perfect with the margarita and beers we were drinking. Then, hubby and I split the grilled portobello mushroom and onion fajita which came out sizzling and our friendly, attentive waiter, Javier, gave us extra assorted warmed tortillas (nice touch). Most tasty, although would have like a couple more mushrooms with the many, many onions. Our friend had Mama's chicken and cheese tacos which looked delicious and our friend agreed they were. After leaving Dallas Loce and checking into our Air BnB, we were starving and luckily found this gem of a place.The staff here (especially Amanda) were super friendly and helpful. The beer is ice cold, the complimentary chips and salsa plentiful and an excellent warm prior to the main dish.I had the peacado el Refugio and absolutely loved it. "We were visiting TX from FL and had a very early flight home so decided to stay in Dallas the night before. We were having dinner with friends in Richardson and while looking at places to eat the food sounded great. Our friends had never eaten here, so we decided to try it. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. The waiter took drink orders and brought chips immediately. Their salsa and another dip they served were excellent. When looking at reviews I noticed that if you check in, you also received a free queso. The menu has a great selection and the food was exceptional. The presentation and quality were top notch Tex-Mex. The margaritas were fabulous and the only negative was they couldn't make mojitos--which were on the menu. Our waiter couldn't explain why, but the house sangria hit the spot. It's easy access and has plenty of parking. Definitely something to try if you live in the area and haven't or are visiting."

"Y'all are missing out if you haven't tried the Quesabirria Harina tacos. Absolutely delicious flour tortillas stuffed with birria meat and melted cheese! Didn't even dip them in the consommé cuz the green salsa that comes with is fire, spicy and flavored with a kick. The rice and beans were good but the tacos steal the show. We started off with the appetizer sampler which was also good, starting with the quesadilla being #1, especially when dipped into the queso, yummy! Nachos were tasty and loaded with meat, served individually which I'm not used to but was delicious. The chicken flautas were also tasty but a bit over cooked tonight. I'd say overall a delicious Taco Tuesday and I'm sure we'll be back!!"
