This was a delicious vegan Thai place we picked on a whim being in the area and looking for a vegan dinner spot. It turned out to be one of our top meals for the day.I loved the eggplant tofu dish which had all kind of veggies and was super flavorful. The thin rice noodles were pretty good too but I did wish there was more variety in the vegetables as they seemed quite similar to the other dish.Overall, great service. Delicious food. We did street parking not too far away. It was a Sunday and wasn't too busy.

During our weekend visit, we anticipated an early dinner at 6:15 pm, but ended up waiting for 25 minutes to be seated. Despite the delay, the bustling streets outside and the lush greenery ambiance inside kept us engaged. Once seated, we ordered spring rolls, Tom Yum soup, Drunken Mushroom, Thai lemon tea, and cucumber salad. Although the order arrived promptly, the double-fried spring rolls were overly oily and unappetizing. However, the soup was delightful, as was the Drunken Mushroom dish. The portion sizes were generous, perhaps trying to justify the set prices. The Thai lemon tea proved to be a refreshing alternative to the traditional Thai milk tea, offering a satisfying competition.

they did fantastic for mother's day!! my mom loved the vegetarian/ vegan options. it was delicious, great price, and great proportions which is so hard to find these days. we were pleasantly surprised by the lunch special providing so much food. i'll attach a photo- it's truly a large amount for one plate worth- and then they still brought out either stir fried veggies or a bowl of curry! recommend the curry over more veggies imo lol.

The restaurant was on the corner of the block with ample windows. The decorations were traditional Thai with a white theme. When full the restaurant is a little loud. The staff were all Thai and spoke English. The chefs were Thai as well. That's how you know you will get authentic tasting food. Food was flavorful and the taste was truth to Thai cooking. They used quality and fresh ingredients in their dishes.

Was in the area on a Sunday and decided to pop into Araya's for a light lunch. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but offers plenty of seating both indoors and out- especially if you are seating a smaller party of two. Service was friendly, albeit not the fastest for drinks. Our food came out quickly, but drinks came out well into the meal, we almost forgot we had ordered them; however, this can be chalked up to the restaurant/bar being busy. As for the food- the real star of the show -everything that we ordered was delicious! The mango salad was amazing with the right balance of sweet & savory, acidity, and spice; the pad see lew was spectacular, with chewy noodles, crunchy vegetables, and a luscious sauce; lastly the fresh rolls were fantastic, packed full of flavor and veggies. I would highly recommend any of the three dishes we ordered, they were packed with flavor and did not leave you feeling heavy after eating. A fantastic meal and I look forward to returning!

Wanted to find a great option for my vegetarian friend visiting from out of town, and this place delivered! We were seated right away by a friendly server. The place has a homey feel you don't find often in (overly commercialized) downtown Bellevue dining. We ordered a mango-avocado salad, pad Thai and Maasuman Banana curry with roti. They were all delicious and satisfying in a way you don't always get with vegan food. My vegetarian friend was thrilled that she had a new place in town where she could eat lots of options. So don't be put off by the vegan label if you're omnivorous (like me) or a meat eater. The food and atmosphere is that good.

I was meeting the parental units for dinner in downtown Bellevue a few weeks ago and, since they are on the 100% meatless plan, decided to introduce them to Araya's Place. Of course, they had to ask me how I found out about it? Um, well dad, there's this great app called Yelp where you can search for vegan food near you. He looked perplexed. But I digress! Our party of four arrived just after opening on a weeknight, and we were quickly seated and handed menus. Since none of us had been there before, we were pleased to find they have a separate menu (with photos!) of their most popular items for newbies. A couple of us ordered from that menu while the rest of us ordered from their extensive, and well-described, main menu. But first, the fresh rolls came out and WOW were they fresh. In a traditional fresh roll, you'd most likely find thinly sliced prawns inside. But because these were vegan, they were full of impossibly fresh and crisp veggies, delicate herbs, and tofu - all wrapped beautifully inside rice paper and served with a delightful peanut sauce. These were a hit and were more than enough to whet our appetites for more.Next came the main dishes. My son got pineapple fried rice, I had a "faux" chicken and mushroom stir fry, and my parents each got a different type of curry. It was all phenomenal. But I'm pretty sure my mushroom and "chicken" stir fry was the best because it was bathed in a sauce that I can only call sublime. If I had any idea how to even describe this sauce I would, but I can't. You just have to go there, and try it. And TRY (as I did, barely) not to lick your plate clean. We didn't have any drinks on this trip, but as we were leaving I noticed they have an extensive mocktail menu that I'd love to try next time. And yes, there will be a next time.Parking tip: for $7 (pretty much a bargain in this area) you can park in the parking garage just a block away, which beats the frustration of endlessly circling around Old Bellevue hoping to snag a free spot. Especially during rush hour.

Soooo delicious! Ended my day perfectly with plenty of leftovers. The servers were so nice and the food was all delicious. I got the crispy spring rolls and drunken mushroom noodles and loved every bite. The spring rolls really are crispy and pair perfectly with the sauce. The drunken mushroom noodles are one of a kind and something I wish I had locally. Super cute location as well and loved sitting in the corner booth.

It was okay for me and my friend. The service was fast though as they were busy.We ordered a lot on the menu and the portions were big enough for leftovers.
