AO Sushi

I've been looking for a cheap, quality sashimi and sushi, like Lawrence Fish Markef in the city. But I haven't been able to find it quite yet - the closest I've been able to find in the North Shore is AO Sushi. Their prices may not be as good but their quality is slightly better while still being reasonably priced, definitely still better priced than many sushi restaurants in the area.This place is built more for takeout than dine in, so if you're looking for a nice date night spot, this isn't it. They do however have prepared sushi rolls and nigiri ready to pick up in their fridge case, and you can also put in custom orders from their menu.

We were big fans of another location of AO Sushi but that other location closed so we didn't know about the Wilmette location. We were thrilled to have our favorites again!! We love the sushi so so much! I'm gluten free and I can eat it just fine.

This is a high quality sushi joint and I picked up a couple of party trays from here. It's mostly a carryout shop though there are a few bar seats facing out towards their storefront window. Surprisingly, this unassuming looking shop had 5 sushi chefs working behind the counter at 11:15am on a Saturday morning, so business must be good and brisk here. I can now see why as the sushi was fresh, top quality, and delicious. They are also situated in a very convenient strip mall location, just a few feet from I-94 Eden's Lake Street exits.

Really convenient, fast sushi place that'll hit the spot for a quick dinner. They had really well priced sushi rolls and maki combinations. I got a white fish maki roll with green onion for $5. The rice was a bit hard, but the fish was fresh and delicious. The chicken karaage was flavorful and the rice was perfectly chewy. Service was friendly and efficient. You can also order your rolls fresh or get them from the fridge. They had 4 sushi chefs working when I went on a Tuesday night so your rolls will be finished within 5 minutes. Give this place a try for your next weekday dinner.

Had AO Sushi in Wilmette, IL for dinner tonight. It's takeout only and hands down the best sushi I've had in the Chicago land area. The fish is just so damn fresh! And the rice doesn't have that overly vinegar taste that other places sometimes have. It's very decently priced, we ordered 6 rolls for $70 bucks including tip. Dare I say, every roll is a 10/10.

AO has high quality grade sushi. I grabbed a to go container of tuna, salmon, california rolls, and house salad, as well as a small miso soup. All the sushi was fresh. The only negative thing I can say is that the sushi didn't include wasabi in the to go container. I would highly recommend coming here for your sushi needs.

couldn't ask for much more. The best take out sushi place around. Big hunks of fish. Always fresh. very nice staff. Also very fair pricing, get it once a week...It's a 5 star for what it serves as.

Really great for fast takeout sushi. This is my go to place for sushi anytime during the week.

Want the best sushi EVER? Here you go. These ppl really know how to do the rice perfect and everything else is THE best. I would eat there everyday if I could. Try the dragon roll.

My go to for take out sushi. Always fresh and great quality. I also like that their grocery items are very reasonably priced. My only complaint- nothing is labeled which makes it difficult when ordering for a group.
