Anwar El Cajon market

If you blinked your eye you would miss this place. There is a ton of road construction out front and parking is rough.Been there 2x and the customer service isn't the best but the food makes up for it.They make almost everything from scratch and seems like nothing is ever frozen. A great Iraqi restaurant that is up there in my top 3 places for Mediterranean food. This place is really a 'hole in the wall' and they don't disappoint.

mashAllah, this restaurant is delicious. My food was quick, tasty and the people were very kind. I got the chicken kebab and it comes with pita/veggies. I highly recommend putting sumac on your food (purple seasoning in the containers on the tables). Be sure to be respectful coming into this restaurant, the ambiance reminds me of back home.

I ordered shawarma.. and grilled whole fish All Was perfect I recommend it to everyone First the shawarma was tender, juicy.. not dry Second, the Maskoof fish was grilled and still juicy not dry Seasoned on the side they put tomatoes, seasoned onions, lemons , turnip.. it was a feast not a meal.. I recommend it to anyone Not expensive Also the place really clean.. the stuff was so nice Smiling Go for it

The best Kabab you can have... quality meat... exceptional service... the bread was fresh new out of Tandoori... Kaka Rawand the best chef... left with smile

Highly recommend if you're in the area! We got the big platter or sheesh kabab, chicken kabab pieces and tikka with the sides of pickles, tomatoes, onions and bread. Oh my goodness it tasted heavenly! The seasoning was magnificent, the food was fresh and the amount was more than enough.

I'm Middle East so I know how the real Kebab should be and this place definitely make the best in the state of CA

I love this place I always drive 80 miles to eat there and take some to go. Simple food with classic methods just good kabob form the butcher shop. Amazing value and quality this is by far one of my favorites in El Cajun.

The food was fully uncooked still raw I called them and they told me to let them know next time I come I ordered food because im hungry this is not a clothing shop i went back to them as they might recook it or make new they were mad and telling me why did i show up I should have thrown it away as they say and they got mad and told me of I want my money back all cool but thats not how you operate a restaurant the worst place i been to .

Great ground beef kabob; my favorite. Their butcher shop is good too. They make their own flat bread and it's very good.
