We stopped at Antique taco during the Wicker Park street fest because they had a lot of outdoor seating! And even though it was crazy busy because of the fest, everything came out super fast. You order at the counter and then they'll bring your food out to you! They only had one vegetarian taco on the menu, the potato and poblano. I loved the crunch from the chips on this one! However when I was ordering, there was a sign for a mushroom taco, so I got that too! The mushroom was definitely my favorite. They were cooked in what tasted like a creamy garlic sauce that was really good. They're a little pricey for one taco, especially for the veggie ones, but overall it was a good spot for a quick dinner.

Love antique taco - my favorite is the pork taco with bacon it's sweet but so good and same with the crunchy beef taco.Just tried the hot chicken burrito and ate most of the chips before I took a photo but it was so good I'm going to get another one today lol. The hot sauce comes on the side which is nice and you can make as spicy as you'd like.Love antique taco!

Antique Taco is a walk up style taco joint located in Wicker Park. Because of its counter service style you're free to mix and match taco types to your hearts content. The menu has a variety of meat and non-meat bases, all of which were tasty. The space is brightly lit and features some locally crafted goods for purchase as well. This is the perfect place to drop in if you're looking for a quick bite that's a step above your standard fast food or fast casual joint.

TWO WORDS: ELOTE DIP I pretty much come here for this exclusively but the tacos are also pretty good. Chicago is such a hub for authentic Mexican food that this wouldn't necessarily be my go-to recommendation for that experience but if you're looking for a more boutique taco spot then this is definitely that.

This place has a nice vibe and is a fun spot to bring friends for a few drinks or a meal. It's one of those spots with a menu that is on the smaller side but everything they do is top notch. The margs here are awesome and innovative. Chips and guacamole are fresh and flavorful. Tacos are solid and innovative (chicken curry taco!) albeit a bit on the pricey side. The fried chicken burrito was out of this world and hit the sweet spot on my palate - huge savory flavor blast! This place is a wicker park staple and has probably been reviewed a thousand times, but they are still killing the taco game (better than big star )

As a Los Angeles native I was really looking forward to trying tacos on the visit to Chicago after seeing a bunch of tv shows referencing the good Mexican food here.Antique taco was yummy. I tried the pork taco and the steak taco. I was very surprised that I preferred the pork, it's flavor profile was just amazing. I also tried the guacamole and agua fresca which were very good. I would come back and see what the other tacos have to offer.

I have been here at least a half dozen times and am shocked its taken me so long to write a review! Antique Taco is by far my fave taco joint in the neighborhood. The absolute best crispy fish taco I've ever had!! I've tried a few of their others (shrimp, steak, pork) but always go back to the crispy fish taco. The tacos are a little pricey in the $4-7 range but they are fresh and full of flavor so worth the splurge in my opinion. If you are dining in they offer complimentary chips and salsa (with free refills) which is awesome! I recommend the guac as well, its delicious. For drinks I usually stick with their rosemary margarita but they have a few other offerings as well. My husband tried the chicken burrito and really enjoyed it as well. The portion was generous for the price and he had leftovers. Great happy hour specials Monday-Thursday as well!

I've wanted to try Antique taco for a while, but this visit was a happy accident. I was in the area and looking for a place to eat with my kids, and the place that they wanted to go didn't have any seating so we asked someone at a a local business and they said hey try Antique across the street so we did. My oldest and I also ordered the fried chicken burrito on the store owners recommendation and I'm so glad we did. We did over order because so many things sounded and were so good. The chili cheese curds sounded good, but actually surpassed the expectations. The chili was amazing and the cheese curds were crispy on the outside and melty inside, just couldn't stop eating them. My youngest got the fish taco which an enormous piece of perfectly fried cod that she loved. But back to the burrito, the blend of flavors in this burrito were just perfect. The crispy chicken is perfect and the habanero salsa gives it just the right kick and the black beans and cream round it perfectly. Oh and the chips that come with it are phenomenal, freshly fried and sprinkled with spices that just makes them irresistible. It was a little pricey, but you definitely tasted the quality. I will definitely go back but maybe not order as much.

My wife tapped Antique Taco to cater my birthday party. She chose the DIY taco bar: Tortillas, Al Pastor Chicken, Pork Carnitas, and Potato & Poblano plus elote, queso, chopped cilantro, chipotle crema, and limes, They were on time, set up quickly, and even showed up with printed labels for each of the fillings.Like everything at Antique, all three of the fillings were first-rate, as was everything else.Sleeper hit--potato-poblano.Fortunately we over-ordered so I had a chance to demolish the leftovers.Highly, highly recommended.
