I'd never been to Antique Row Cafe, and informed only by the opinions that you people have posted here, I walked in expecting a large, appealing, tasty breakfast. What I got instead was a table loaded with:- Greasy potatoes- Watery grits- Weak coffee- Overcooked eggs- Chewy pancakes- Salty country gravyI'm trying to figure out who to blame for this $60 reminder that skepticism is a valuable tool for living.Antique Row Cafe offers monstrous loads of food, so should I fault you who don't, won't or can't distinguish between high quality and large portions?Many of my Yelp brethren seem anxious about saying negative things in a public forum, lest they be considered impolite. Me, I can't imagine a nicer thing to do for those who read my opinions than to say that something bad is bad, and so warn people away from the badness.

The location is 1 star. The food, ambiance, and service is 5-star. That's what matters. It's tough because the location is off a major road and unfortunately there are many unsafe conditions in the proximity and people (homeless transients), encampments literally within 15 feet of this place. As a father with young children, it's difficult not to worry and stress about entry and exit, as they're screaming, yelling, and creating an uncomfortable arrival / departure experience. If you get past that and get a parking spot directly outside entry, it's 5-star everything from there.Traditional 50's setting diner with home cooked meals and recipes. Very nostalgic. The food was incredible, every meal we ordered. The service was incredible. From greeting upon entry, they were pro-active in welcoming, not just the usual standing and staring. They were genuinely there to serve. Despite being a packed house (I can see why), we were seated immediately. The bussers and servers were so fluid and on their A+ game. Waters instantly, coffees and OJs instantly, and I wish I remembered the servers name, but after every time we would say "thank you", he would interject "Nooooo. Thank YOUUUUUU". It was special and unique and not only differentiated him from every other staff, but made him stand out. Everyone was super attentive. Shout out to the chefs in the back. The food was made to order so fast. I seriously think it was 5 minutes or less for a family of 4 with everything piping hot and unbelievably delicious. I wish there was an Antique Row branch off built closer to me in Santee. Outside of the external factors outside of the building, this place was a 10/5 stars. Beyond amazing.

Wow the portions are large, and good. I had the open Facebook meatloaf with side salad. The salad came out in less than 5 minutes and hot food was out in less than 10min. Everything was good, service is fast. Im coming back to order pancakes cuz they huge, thick and fluffy.

My wife and I went to Antique Row for breakfast brunch. I had the bacon omelette and she had the patty melt. The service was quick and friendly as always. The ambience is old school antiques and old school seating. The customers seem to be mostly older but it may be because of being midweek and 9:30 in the morning. The prices have gone up since our last visit. They use to have weekday specials under $10. But now $11.99, still better than most other places and you get a full plate of food and need a to go box. We recommend this great place.

For over two decades, I've been enjoying their massive portions of food that are reasonably priced, as well as their excellent service.Tuna melt supreme ($14.75): this remains to be the "supreme" tuna sando, despite trying others' versions for the past 20+ years. I relish their surf and turf approach, as the bacon hits different. It adds that renowned salty pork flavor and crispy texture to the creamy tender tuna, 10/10 rating! I usually get this or the patty melt for brunch.Soup of the day - beef with vegetables (included with sando): the beef and veggies were tender; however, the broth was thin and bland, 6/10 rating. I normally would have gotten their mound of curly fries, but I could hear my doctor's voice saying I should skip the deep-fried side =)As I've previously mentioned, I highly recommend their patty melt, and I 100% agree with what's reflected on their menu as followed: "sources say this is the best tasting Patty Melt on the market."Our server, Ramon, is fast, attentive, comical, and a mnemonist. The hostess brought our drinks, and Ramon came by on my blindside to pretend to refill my full cup of water with coffee lol! He remembered me despite that I hadn't dined in here for about 10 years due to the location being far from my residence.
