Went here for my wife's birthday on a Wednesday. Let's start with the big positives. Server? As friendly and attentive as can be. Atmosphere and the view? Great! Even the wait for a table was fun as we got to see a seal or otter poke its head out of the water to say hi. Seafood portion in our dishes? Plentiful!!The food, however, was not perfectly executed. I grabbed the Smoked Salmon Fettuccine. I enjoyed it for the most part (there were some pieces of salmon that were too well done and excessively smokey). I had to use plenty of salt to season it up despite the presence of capers. That's ok, though. It was an elderly crowd on hand for the most part and I too would probably err on the side of under seasoning if that were my main customer base. My wife had the Seafood Mac n' Cheese. I'm not sure how they're making their bechamel, but my wife joking referred to it as a soup during the evening. Additionally, her food was at room temperature when it arrived. I'm wondering if her dish finished well ahead of mine or if the kitchen staff wanted the dish to cool off in hopes that it would thicken. Hopefully that was an execution issue rather than the restaurant standard.Anyway, we needed a better experience for their price point, but it wasn't a horrible experience.

We searched everywhere to see cherry blossoms and crossed our fingers that we'd see them at Point Defiance. They had one tree near the pagoda, so we took the pic and because I was playing Pokemon Go, I realized we were around the corner from an Anthony's. Even though I've always wanted to try out the sandwich shop in town, I figured mom would enjoy seafood better. The server seated us at a table next to the window, but the view was slightly blocked by decorative metal work. I wanted to protest because I knew what she was doing (seeing who she could seat at a blocked view table so that the complainers later on could be accommodated with a clear view), I didn't have the fight in me because I just wanted to chill. The good thing about this table was that our waitress was very friendly. She pointed out to us a sea lion on the pier and a sailboat floating past our window. She also pointed out a herd of sea lions swimming in the water during lunch, which was really cool. We also got to see the ferry to Vashon Island come and go, so I got a burger and mom tried the trout, which she usually loves, but she didn't really go gaga for it this time. I also tried the winter bourbon cherry which the waitress said it was very much like Ben n Jerry's Cherry Garcia and no, it wasn't the same thing, but I did appreciate her description because I really knew that's what I wanted. It was a fun lunch with nice views.

Of course I dove right in to our food! It was so good! Their cesar salad here is perfection! The view and service cannot be beat. I loved the shrimp and crab fettuccine, I do believe it could be a bit more seasoned but with a little lemon and added salt/pepper, it was great. Lauren H was a fantastic server! They have a great dessert and drink selection too. Worth the drive!

It's.....alright I guess. I can't remember the last time I went to one of these, but it's generic American fare. Nothing impressed me, but I also can't say it was terrible, for the most part, kind of. I had some of the dip and sourdough bites. The dip is not bad. I think the bread would've been better if it was softer. Generally speaking, I don't like bread that's this hard for a dip. They're almost like crackers. I tried a little bit of the seafood Mac n' cheese. I thought it was kinda mediocre. Judging this as a seafood mix, I feel like the umami is pretty weak. Well, I thought that was true for the seafood and spinach dip also. Also, I felt that it was a tad dry, and the texture of the pasta was not the greatest. Normally, I would want the cheese to be more wet. At a point, this was almost like just mac that they sprinkled a bunch of shredded cheese over. Literally, if the seafood and spinach dip was poured over this, I think I would like it better than how it is now.I ordered the mahi mahi taco and chowder. The chowder is the most generic white chowder I can imagine. The flavor of the mahi was also okay, but not great. Finally, this is kind of petty, but I'm paying 22 dollars for a small cup of generic chowder, one taco, and a bunch of chips. Not the best value ever. But if you come here, you're paying for the location anyways, so it's whatever I guess.3 stars seems fair.

I love being able to walk into a quality restaurant and get seated at a nice table right away. Servers are always so welcoming at Anthony's and don't show any sort of fuss when any one in my party (looking at you grandma!) is acting extra.I ate my whole Hawaiian Cobb salad. Was so excited about it I showed my husband pictures when I got home. Perfect mango pieces, just right ripe avocado, not over or underdressed. Yum, yum! Some French fries wandered over to my plate and those were crispy, tasty as well. Feeling generous I asked for a to-go white chocolate cheesecake dessert. My husband must have really liked it because he didn't share this peace offering with me at all when I got home.Anthony's is a dependable staple. You know we'll return!

My first impressions is that this restaurant is huge and has a beautiful view. We were actually driven in because of the lovely views we knew this place would offer. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately- it was busy but this place has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. If you are looking for a view while you dine it, nicely ask the waiter/waitress - they were happy to accommodate us! We went for the Seafood Platter to try a bit of variety - it came with shrimp, fish, calamari and onion rings. We also order the Wild Alaska Halibut 'n Chips, which comes with 2 pieces dipped in light tempura batter. Both dishes also come with a side of what appears to be shredded slaw on a piece of organic looking lettuce. Put some of the fish on top and you'll have a a delicious and healthier wrap! For drinks, we tried one of the house lemonade..you can never go wrong with a lemonade. What was the verdict? If you're a big seafood, fish person or just a person that appreciates fresh food, you will simply LOVE the freshness here! But for $30 for 2 pieces of Wild Alaska Halibut 'n Chips..I feel like they that is a tad bit too much. But I guess you are paying for quality and you do get the lovely views - I think I would recommend trying out this spot whether it's with your friends, family..it's a perfect place to sit back, relax, converse and enjoy a fresh meal with 5-star views!

Great views but reservations for large parties seem restricted to friends of the owner. Our group of 8 was denied, yet when we called were told we could walk in since it was a Monday.

I have been a customer since this place opened. Some of the servers have waited on me for years. The food is always great and great value. The service is impeccable even when the place is busy. As a single dinner I never feel that my level of service suffered because the server was busy with many customers. It has been nearly 30 years since I have not tipped a server. I am in hospitality myself so I tip exceptionally well even for subpar service..Yes I did not tip my server. It was the worst service I have ever had at an Anthony's. The server was hostile crass and surly from the start. I had a Cobb salad chowder with Ice Tea.The server kept making huffy sighs and rolling her eyes as I ordered. I went to the restroom and my table was being cleared. The buyer said that I had left according to my server. The chowder cup was only 1/3 full and I was charged 11$. The server disappeared until the Cobb salad came. The server then disappeared for most of the rest of my stay. I ordered dessert. I had to ask for the 1 and only refill on Iced Tea which was still warm. I asked for glass of fresh I which never came. The server rolled their eyes and acted put out that I asked for refill that should have been offered during my meal and I should have not had ask for it at the end of my stay. The server was never around to ask. After I ordered Sorbet. The server sat at a table with a busser and chatted away. Then throwing angry looks and point fingers at me and the African American couple sitting across from me,which were also in her section.I spent 50$ on lunch. It is expensive to eat out. I have right expect a good experience which includes good service. I would have order a order more with appetizers and drinks. Normally my dinning experience cost 80 - 100$. The servers hostile from the start and during ordering was why pared down the size of my order. The unprofessional behavior hostile, surly attitude of this server and unbelievable horrible service is unacceptable and not something I will put up with.I have had a lifetime happy memories of dinning at Anthony's. Great servers like Roger until he retired and the amazing Wendy. My server yesterday is the worst I have ever had. I didn't tip her. She didn't deserve one. I will never let her wait on me again and I will walk out if I am seated in her section. She poorly represented Anthony's.The manger listened which I appreciate. Anthony's has a serious problem with this server. Makes me wonder what the elderly African American couple did earn this servers wrath. One wonders.
