Annie's Lunch Counter

I'm a frequent visitor of Jumpstart Espresso, which shares a storefront with Annie's Lunch Counter, so I've had lunch here a few time and it is always a treat.I have met the owner of Annie's Lunch Counter and they are extremely friendly! I see them often when I come in for coffee too, and they make sure to greet my partner and I with a smile. They always offer to help us, even when I am not ordering food. The owner is also involved in the business, and I see them personally running out mobile orders to people's cars in the parking lot. The owner is there early and stays late. The restaurant is small and intimate, so the staff from both the coffee shop and the lunch counter are constantly checking in. There is dining outside, so when the weather is nice, it is nice to wait for the food to be ready or to eat there.I always order the half sandwich and the soup of the day and it is a large amount of food for the price! The half sandwich is the size of a full sandwich, the soup is about 8oz, and there is always a pickle and some crackers. What's nice is that there is also room for customization. I've ordered the vegetarian sandwich with bacon added and also the Reuben. My partner has ordered the French dip and the Reuben. The sandwiches are always loaded with fresh toppings on made with fresh bread. Sometimes the portions are so large that there's even leftovers. Getting lunch here is always a special treat!

I'm definitely coming back! I ordered a to go roast beef on rye early in the day. I took two bites then put it back in the box to eat a little later. My big puppy, I learned, can reach a box on the counter. He liked it too.

It seriously took me way too long to get a sandwich from here. I absolutely loves the Turkey Cranberry sandwich. It was a well made giant sandwich with perfect proportions. I was able to add micro greens for a bit of greens. I had a turkey sandwich with arugula once and it was delicious! I think if there was some green like arugula it would be even better. The sandwich just had together and stayed intact while eating. I added a side of chips and it's a perfect lunch combination. Will definitely be back.

Great food! Great service. I love this place. The bed stroganoff soup is delicious. I just wish they had it more often.

Exactly what you are looking for in the sandwich shop around the corner: tasty, staight-forward food! Working with the Jump Start Coffee drive through is also a nice touch. Definitely would recommend!

Her food is so delicious, ordered french dip and pea soup today. Loved soaking the bread into the dip, it was soft and fluffy. Pea soup is so creamy and so good for this winter weather. Definitely will be coming back for more!

They customized my sandwich adding turkey and ham to my sandwich. Very yummy! So glad to have a quality deli so close to home.

Annie's Lunch Counter is a real treat. The sandwiches and the soups are always on point. They are always so nice and accommodating and their prices are very respectable for what you get. This is a take out only so don't plan to come and sit to eat your lunch. If I had to say there was one drawback is she is not open on the weekends and closes at 3:00pm. So if you work in the Federal Way area or are just passing through in the middle of the day. This is a great place to stop and have a delicious soup and sandwich.
