The saltiest daal I've ever tasted, even after diluting with water. Inedible. Greens were so bland.

Very very delicious Indian food. It has the great classic Chicken Tikka Masala but I feel like it had a bit of extra nutty flavor or something that gave it more umami than you would typically have in a tikka masala. I think since it is combined with other cuisines besides Indian, that added flavor was very rich and unique. The garlic naan bread was very good too.The service was friendly and efficient both times I went in, and helpful with my questions about the menu items. They did not have chicken korma but the man suggested the Chicken Tikka Masala which he said would be similar. The restaurant seems to be located in the basement, it is downstairs and right next door to one of the entrances for the Link station. You can smell the delicious food wafting from the restaurant from the street. As soon as you go down the steps, the atmosphere envelops you with rich dark red wall coverings and reflective tiles. It is an experience walking down into this restaurant! Like stepping foot into a separate timeline.Very good food, I want to go back and get the exact same thing but I'm sure all the other options are just as good.

We were brought here by Yelp while on vacation. Really enjoyed the Nepal inspired artwork. Server was very knowledgable about the menu. Momo and goat stew were the stars of the table. When asked about heat level go one higher than usual. We asked for low heat, but regretted not having a little more heat.

The food is great and the prices are amazing! For four adults we got two appetizers, two naan, three curries, 2-3 bowls of rice, and 3-4 drinks, and we were stuffed when the bill came out (including tip $135 for four adults). The momos were good (I loved the peanut sauce), I liked the Annapurna curry and liked the Himalayan curry, but our favorite was the Lamb Kofta! Absolutely phenomenal! For some reason spice level 2 of 4 was much more intense for the Annapurna than the Lamb Kofta (which we also ordered as 2 of 4 spicy), but maybe that was a mistake in the kitchen? Either way, we'll be back to get the Lamb Kofta again!Service was nice, waitstaff were quick to fill our water glasses. The restaurant is in the basement and has low ceilings but the vivid paint and decor make the space lively and the noise level wasn't bad for a Friday evening. Not the #1 best Indian food I have had in Seattle (I can't speak Seattle's Himalayan food), but it is up there in the top 5-10, for sure. I'll be going back and I recommend this restaurant highly for anyone looking for quality Indian food on a budget!

Dimly lit, enclosed bunker vibes, Annapurna Cafe transports you to the Himalayas. The staff are so kind and attentive. The portions are large and the spices are distinctive. The goat gamey (as it should be). Here, they do it right.

Annapurna was recommended by a friend as a must-try place during a long weekend in Seattle. I'm glad I came by for dinner one night, since it was a highlight of my trip. My party arrived around 7pm on a Thursday night and went downstairs, where the delicious smells greeted us. We had no trouble getting a table as a walk-in.We ordered a garlic naan for the table and for my entree I ordered a Himalayan curry with tofu and vegetables and spice level 2/4. It was a delicious, savory blend of veggies and sauce served over rice. The tofu came in large pieces, which I was a fan of. Spiciness wasn't an issue. It was a great entree and the only thing I would have changed is I would have liked more of it!The entree and naan + tax and tip came out to about $25, so not the cheapest option for dinner, but an extremely solid one nonetheless.

I've been wanting to try this place for almost a year now. First I love that you go down couple of set of stairs. The decor reminds me of being in Nepal - it's not contemporary, love that this place embraces its heritage even in the decor. We had chai - I liked it but it's a little on the sweeter side for me. I love that it's served in a clay cup. Papad were crispy and came with mint chutney. Aloo/mattar (potato and pea) paratha - different than traditional Punjabi parathas, smaller in size but still packed with flavor. Ample amount of butter and garlic was scintillating my tastebuds. Tensing momos - one order comes with 6 pieces. The flavor was well balanced, outside was just the right amount of chewy. It's served with 3 different chutneys - tamarind, tomato and sesame seed. Everyone loved it. The calamari + onion pakoras - this does not go with anything. The calamari pieces were too tiny and rubbery, it felt like you were biting into deep fried batter. The flavoring was good but it would be better to bite into something instead of air and batter. We were served by Luna, she did a great job of communicating, checking up on and just chatting. Definitely a place we'd be visiting again. Parking is street parking or 30min retain parking for the building. Give this place a try if you are in town !!

This cozy Himalayan restaurant is primarily underground with equally cozy Himalayan/Indian dishes. It's reasonably priced with lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and everything is best to be shared family style. The garlic naan is a must and each order is one large piece that serves two. We tried a few different curry dishes-- my personal favorite was the Mater Paneer which was paneer cheese in a rich tomato sauce with peas. Every dish also comes with an order of rice and you can choose between white or brown. Their drink menu is quite large too with relatively affordable cocktails. Our food came pretty quick and it was a nice dinner in Cap Hill!

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. I thought I knew a good chicken tikka masala, but this blew all expectations out of the water. The staff was really friendly, the menu has great variety, and the ambiance really transports you out of the city. I personally had the chicken tikka masala pictured here, but my group ordered a variety of different dishes and naan and every single one received praise. This place is FOR REAL and I will be back!
