Extremely frustrated with my order from Andal's Custom Meats. I purchased a pig from a farmer, and the pig was set to be slaughtered that week. The farmer let me know that I needed to call Andal's the day of slaughter so I could set up what sort of cuts I'd like. I was very interested in making some charcuterie, so I wanted almost all of the pig. I called them up as agreed. They stopped me from talking and told me right off the bat that the pig was a boar, so I shouldn't ask for bacon. That was fine, but I asked for the head and neck, to which they responded "Nope, it's all ready gone." What? I asked for any extra fat and skin, and they said no. I asked if they could keep one of the legs unfrozen for me, because I'd like to make a country ham and apparently those are best to make with fresh meat. The guy told me I'd have to pick it up the day it was ready. I told him that was no problem. I asked for the ribs to be cut cross-cut-style, because I was really excited to make some new dishes that require that cut. The rest was just basic roasts, chops and ground. When I arrived at the processors the very day they called me, they hauled out my order. Everything was frozen. I asked the woman who brought my order out about the fresh leg I'd ask to not be frozen, and she shrugged and said, "Well, looks like they froze it." No apology, and she quickly left and didn't come back out. What the heck?Today, I opened up my spare ribs to make the recipe I was so excited for. They gave me the ribs with all the meat cut off. Just rib bones, connected with a very little meat. The bulk of the meat is in another package. I am pretty upset. Everything added up, I was talked to curtly in the very beginning, didn't even get my whole pig, and then not listened to about any of my cuts, except the ones they wanted to make. I will never go to Andal's again, and encourage anyone I know to also go somewhere else.

I picked up six more pounds of their out-of-this-world bacon today - yippee!! It's the perfect tool for my Keto Summer Diet Plans and Sunday morning's farmfresh eggs... EVERYONE; customer service on the phone, counter service while picking up our order and even the owner in the parking lot stopping to say hello, EVERYONE was cheerful, helpful and extremely knowledgable as well as professional. It's great to have found a neighborhood butcher shop in our new neighborhood. And a special THANK YOU from our two canine kids for the beef knuckles!

My family absolutely loves going here for our meat. We love that it is a family run business where they pick out their meat from the farms themselves. Everything from them has been so delicious and you can really taste the quality. We buy our weekly meat here of ground beef, ground pork, the best bacon I've ever had, and the occasional steak. I'm a novice griller, but the steak we've purchased from Andal's has always tasted like some of the best we've ever had. Thanks to the friendly people that run the shop we have been learning more about the cuts and how to cook them which I really appreciate. This is a special meat shop that we feel lucky to have in our community.

This is my go to place from now on. If you live on island and make a trip to Costco, skip their meat section and make a trip to Andal's! Andal's is actually cheaper! I cooked a tri-tip tonight and it taste completely different than any other grocery store. Make sure you try the pepperoni sticks too. Bonus: military discount

Best meat I've found- plus my dog loves the dogbones they have :) I drive all the way out from Whidbey because the butchers on island are wicked expensive.

Andals creates the most amazing meat I've ever had any where. The steaks are incredible, the sausages are terrific, even the hot dogs are out of this world. Can't recommend them highly enough! And the owners are terrific.

Do not have your meat processed or buy beef from andals. The owner is a complete jerk. We had our beef butcher and cut by him and he provided terrible customer service. When we called to tell him the meat from one of our steers on 90 days of grain was tough he said that's because it was a bull. We did not butcher a bull. When I suggested he gave us the wrong beef he said " don't even go there". So my advice is don't go to Andals. You never know what you might get.

My husband went in with several other people to order a cow. We typically buy meat either a half or a whole beef at a time and have for years. We all feel ripped off my the Butcher. We will be reaching out to complain directly to the rancher as to why we will never buy beef from him again. Because if the Butcher. He was rude when they went to pick up the meat. We were told bones had been gotten rid of and all the organ meat because we didn't specifically say we wanted it. We bought a half and the two other gentleman bought a quarter. Once we began comparing notes we figured out there were almost no steaks. It's the worst ground beef. Flavor is great but it's very wet. I was told this is because it was not hung long enough.

They aren't interested at all in doing what the customer wants. It is their way or the highway.
