Ancient Grounds Coffee Co

Got coffee from yet another place in Lakeview East on Belmont. It seems there's tons of such places but this is one of the better of these. Ancient Grounds isn't a big place but it still manages to have a lot. Most of the menu is coffee obviously. There's also juices and pastries. About the thing most people order is coffee. It's of course the main thing to get. There's cold and hot choices and all kinds of flavors to add in these. Can be pricy for some things but not crazy. It's about $6 for a specialty coffee which is okay for around here. The best one here is the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. Has a lot of good coffee to choose from. It's also got a few breakfast sandwiches. These are made with cheese and eggs, so nothing good except bananas for vegans.

Such a trendy place, that is buzzing! I stopped by Ancient Grounds on a Tuesday afternoon and was eager to give them a try. They were pretty crowded with folks catching up with friends, having work meetings with colleagues or enjoying solo time. Though it was pretty packed, I was still able to find a comfortable seat. The service here was great! The owner came to me personally and introduced themself and thanked me for stopping by. I was indecisive in what I wanted to try, the barista was knowledgeable of the menu, walked me through some of their favorites, and even informed me of the very popular coffee latte flight. (If you search Ancient Grounds on social media, you are bound to see this amazing coffee tasting they offer!)I opted to the popular coffee latte flight and was so thrilled with the opportunity to try some of their seasonal coffee options. You can do the flight iced or hot and of course, I did it iced. The flight was around $20 bucks after tip and tax and you are able to try four of their seasonal latte offerings. In my flight I had the 'Honey Nut Cheerio' latte, 'Biscoff' latte, 'Lucky Charms' latte, and the 'Cinnamon Toast Crunch' latte! All were so extremely yummy and were topped with various toppings from cereal to cinnamon to whip cream and other fun toppings. They all still had that rich &bold coffee/expresso taste without being overpowered by all the yummy toppings and they were not too sweet. Picking a favorite of the four is extremely hard, however, I think the Lucky Charms was my favorite with the Honeynut Cheerios being a close second. I liked that I was able to enjoy my coffee while working in a chill environment. Highly recommend Ancient grounds for the coffee to the space, I promise you'll love it! *Please note the coffee flight is available for dine-in only and from 11a-1p.

I made ancient grounds my work from "home" office space on a Tuesday. I started with the yogurt, full of coconut flakes, granola and banana slices. Delicious!The table where I sat, near the "Employee Only" door, had an outlet that powered on all of my devices.I took one zoom call from here. It's pretty noisy for those who need to know, but great noise cancelling headphones will allow you to show up undistracted for a work call. There's pay-to-park street parking right out front.

This place is really cute! Grabbed coffee with a friend at 2:30pm and was not busy on a Saturday. The barista Grace was really sweet and helpful. I got the lucky charm latte (iced) and my friend got the cinnamon toast latte (hot). Both were good but I wish the lucky charm latte could be more marshmallow-y. Both lattes aren't very sweet just mildly, so if u like it sweeter, I would suggest adding an extra pump or two of syrup! But the ambiance is so cozy here, overall I recommend this place! Will have to try their food next time!

Came here to work last Wednesday during the workday but in all honesty I came here mainly to try the latte flight! While I waited for my sister and family friends from out of town, I started with a coffee and a chocolate chip muffin. The muffin and coffee were delicious. Once the rest of my party arrived, we tried the coffee latte flights. My favorite drinks from them were the biscoff latte and the cupcake latte. I would say my least favorite was peanut butter. Overall though the experience was great. The ladies working there were very friendly and quick with our orders. I definitely will come back when I'm in town again.

Wide selection of coffee drinks, well made coffee beans, delicious breakfast sandwiches, and the service is always great. Perfect coffee shop/lounge ambiance. Located in south wrigleyville right off the red line Belmont stop. Safe neighborhood with multiple bicycle rentals & bike lanes. Plenty of "park Chicago" zoned street parking. Handicap accessible. Competitive pricing.

Such great coffee & a gluten free muffin!! The service was so quick and friendly. A great spot for to grab coffee or hang out to chat or work!

Great easy coffee spot! During the work week they offer cereal based iced coffee flights. And during the week the staff won't even laugh at you if you don't read the sign correctly. Plus you can still get full size cereal themed iced coffees to ease the pain of missing the flight. I got the cinnamon toast crunch & loved it!

I visited this local coffee shop recently and really enjoyed the variety of fun signature lattes and quality coffee. I tried the Lucky Charms latte and really enjoyed it! The breakfast sandwich was a great accompaniment. The service is friendly and the ambiance is great for conversation or getting some work done. I'll definitely be back!

Baristas were really nice and the environment was cool. The flight was on the pricier side tho, and watery.
