Today was our first time trying Zumayas & my hubby & I truly enjoyed our experience today. The staff were very friendly and the interior design is a homestyle Mexican vibe which I loved. My hubby and I ordered chilaquiles. He got his divorciados style which means half red sauce half green sauce. I got mine Ranchera style (mild) and I fell in love with their sauces. The mild still has a nice hint of spice but it's not spicy. My husband's on the other hand were on the spicy side but not too spicy to the point your mouth is on fire, just the way he likes them. We took turns trying each other's chilaquiles to try the different sauces & we came to the verdict that Zumayas truly is a great quality & authentic Mexican restaurant. We will definitely come by again. Apparently this place has been in business since 1987 and its family operated. Truly a gem in Whittier we've encountered. #SupportFamilyBusinesses

Ah dios mío! La comida de Zumaya's es sabroso y auténtico! In English, the food here is amazing. This is my third time here and it gets more and more delicious. I love how friendly the staff is and all of the recommendations have been spot on. I've had the albóndigas, tacos and enchiladas. All the tortillas are hand made and the chips and salsa are so damn goood! They also offer calabacitas which is so hard to find at most Mexican restaurants which goes to show how authentic the food is.The prices are average and there is ample parking. I never seen it really packed but I am okay with it! If you're looking for an intimate environment and good food without the frills.

I only came here outta convenience but now they've gained a new customer/follower & Fan. The steak was very juicy, tender and full of flavor!! This was the first time I have been to this restaurant. Everything was great. The food , service etc. The owners and all employees definitely go above and beyond to make you happy and make you feel comfortable. They get an A+ in my book. I will definitely eat there again. I highly recommend this place and try there soups. I must tell you that everything is homemade from scratch. This is a family run business for over 27 years. .
