Yupdduk Diamond Bar

Everything at yupdduk was delicious!! It was my first time here, and I will definitely be coming back! The yupdduk has fish cake, sausage, glass noodles, cabbage, and tteokbokki, and could easily feed 3-4 people. I got extra mild and it was still pretty spicy for me. My favorite dish by far! I also loved the fish cake soup. Perfect dish to warm you up, and the seaweed rice balls were a great addition to the meal (which helped me combat the spiciness). The service was quick and the food came out shortly! This is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends/family. One of my new favorite korean spots in this area!!

Cozy vibes to hang out with friends and good service. * Mala Yup Oh [$29 with Egg extra $3, Cheese extra $3 + Chinese noodle extra $4 =total $36]This reminded me of Taiwanese hot pot. Definitely has kick even though we ordered extra mild. Sweet and spicy but more savory than OG Tteokbokki. Rice cakes were a nice soft chewiness and not undercooked.* Spicy Chicken Wings $20 (comes with several rice balls)- sauce remind me of mixture of gochujang and soy sauce. Definitely a spicy savory kick. * Soondae R $16: Super soft and not as tender as expected because it's filled with glass noodles.Different from a Vietnamese sausage and even English sausage.

I visited Friday afternoon and it wasn't too packed. Food was good and service was good. They filled out water as needed and food came out in a timely manner. But food is like any other standard Korean spot. I noticed that the tipping options were 15,18, and 20%. But after tipping cash and leaving I realized I paid 20$ in tip on a $92 meal as suggested, but 20% of $92 is not $20. (Total came to $100 after tax) Checked the receipt and realized that the tip is the after tax price. Kinda feel scammy and dishonest as this isn't common in my experiences in restaurants in both NYC and Cali. The norm is to tax pre-tax as there is no "service or goods" transaction in tax, why are we tipping on tax? But the rest of the experience was good. Saw another review and same thing, tip was calculated based on after tax price. Went on a lunch date with my cousin. Thanksgiving left overs weren't enough for us lol!Parking: They're located in the corner of a plaza. Free parking lot. We couldn't find a spot within their area, so we parked near the grocery store.Ambiance/Environment: They have a very casual, warm, & welcoming environment. They also have a small space. There's a decent amount of seating.Service: Once you walk in, you'll be greeted and asked whether you'd like to dine in, take out or pick up. We decided to dine in. Shout out to Jesse & James! They were very knowledgeable about the menu, courteous, and attentive! We ordered via the tablet and paid at the register in the end.What we ordered:1) Combo B - We decided to share the Yupdduk (jjajang spice level). This came with boiled eggs and veggie fries and sweated rice balls on the side. The veggie fries had the perfect crisp, the rice balls tasted as expected, and the boiled eggs were cooked well. The sauce was absolutely flavorful! The rice cakes were very fulfilling! Make sure to immediately mix the cheese!2) Boneless Chicken Feet (appetizer) - We were told this was one of their popular appetizer. We ordered this mild. Their special sauce was also flavorful! The chicken feet were cooked well. Although I'm not sure what makes this boneless bc I bit into small pieces of bone .. lol.3) Spam Mayo Rice Bowl (appetizer) - Another popular appetizer recommended to us. We really enjoyed this! Can't go wrong with a classic dish!4) Fish Cake Soup - My cousin wanted something soupy. The soup wasn't too salty. It came with a generous amount of fish cakes. Perfect for the cold weather.5) Salted Caramel Milk Tea w/ boba (100% sweet) & Mango Green Tea w/ Lychee jelly (0% sweet) - I really enjoyed my drink! The boba was okay .. some pieces were chewy and some were hard. We were told the Mango Green Tea already has syrup, so she didn't want anymore sugar. It was still a bit sweeter than she'd like, but she did enjoy the lychee jelly!Pricing: The prices are fair $$, especially for the amount that you get. Everything was so flavorful, rich, and fulfilling.

If you're looking to get you tteokbokki fix, yupdduk can fix that. We ordered togo and things were packaged neatly. The spicy level here.is comparable to thai/indian levels. My partner and I kept it mild and we were still sweating. The rose flavor was sweet and creamy. We also ordered the garlic fried chicken. A bit on the greasy side but still tasty. Portion were also huge, so it's great for parties of 3-5 in my opinion.

Came for lunch and food was great and pipping hot, also came out pretty quick. I ordered the ham kimbap, fishcake soup, beef bulgogi stew, and Combo C. The set portion was huge honestly enough for 4 people or multiple meals. I got the Yup Oh jiajang spice level with added rose to lessen the spice and makes it more creamy. The set also came with glass noodle, veggie fries, seaweed rice balls, and kimchi. It wasn't too spicy but super flavorful. The beef bulgogi stew had glass noodles and beef bulgogi and it was very good and came out sizzling. The fish cake soup had lots of fishcake and I actually mixed it with the beef bulgogi stew and was perfect. Overall everything tasted great and flavorful. I also love the glass noodle/ vermicelli they use here because it soaks in all the flavors and keeps its chewy texture. Definitely coming back when I'm craving some Yupdduk or yup oh. They also have glass bottle soda and boba teas and milk teas. The server Kevin was very helpful and checked up on us a couple of times. The parking lot was kind of small but it's next to a supermarket so there's more parking on that side. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and had a good amount of tables. The ambiance is calm and good place to grab lunch or dinner and chat with friends.

Much smaller portion than what it used to be. It used to be at least 2/3 of the to go bowl now it's only half.

The portions are huge, the service is wonderful, and the taste and textures hit the spot.Along with the garlic fried chicken and soondae, we got the Yup Ddukk and veggie fries. I'm a wimp and cry my way through mild, but it hurts so good. We easily had enough food for 4 people, so had to take home leftovers.

Came here after work, it's pretty small inside but can fit a good amount of people. I would come here with some coworkers if I really wanted to.The service was helpful. They explained what's the difference between the Yupdduk and Yupddoh is. Yupdduk - more rice cakes. Yuppoh - more fish cake. They both contain rice cakes, fish cake, cheese, and I believe sausage but I asked for no sausage. Both of which could feed 2-3 people, it's a pretty big portionThey also had to put out a disclaimer for the spiciest level - challenge! I eat a lot of spicy foods so to me it was a nice flavor (4/10 spiciness) but for my boyfriend it was an insane 10/10. So proceed with caution if you are sensitive to spicy. I would say the spice is comparable to gochujang and Thai peppers combined
