I discovered this bakery because my friend loves their banh bao. The interior was very modern. It didn't have many seats but it was more of a pickup for most. We ordered the banh bao (obviously) and their crispy roast pork banh mi. The banh bao was pretty good but I LOVED the roast pork banh mi. It could have been due to hunger and really missing roast pork but I would go again. They even sell just the roast pork ! The banh mi was different in which they used spicy mayo as sauce which was a bit sweeter than I am used to but it was still delicious.

Bring CA$H or 3% Credit/Debit card fee which is like $.30 cents for $10. The price is reasonable. #3 Grilled Beef with Special Sauce - my personal favorite but if you love pork, I'd stick to grilled pork - also one of my favorites. #3 is more saucy with iceberg lettuce, shredded green spring onions, and tomatoes besides the normal fermented carrots/daikons/cucumber/jalapeños. The flavor in this grilled beef banh mi reminded me of home - not the exact taste but almost. The best part - WARM breads. Not many Vietnamese places warm up Banh Mi when they make it which make it tasted "cold". I don't like cold food. You can ask staff to cut Banh Mi in half and/or put vegetable on the side so they can stay fresh longer when you do not eat it immediately. I usually order for to-go and use airfryer or grill at home to warm up the bread if I do not eat immediately at the store. Still taste good. There are a couple tables inside and outside to sit down and eat. The inside was clean and organized. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Parking is a bit tight but customer rotate in and out so there are always parking when I visited. There are also adjacent parking in the shopping areas next door.

This spot had just opened when I tried it, and it's been great seeing them expand all across OC! It wasn't very crowded when I came, so I didn't have too much time to think about my selection. I definitely wanted to try their banh baos, since that's what they're known for, and was what I was craving! I ordered the bbq pork and vegetarian baos, and since they were sitting in the warmer, it was ready right away. I took it home with me, and found they were still pretty warm by then! The taste was great across both, but my favorite was the vegetarian, since it reminded me of what I'd get at the temples! I think the prices were a little high compared to the size of em, but hey, I get it.

Came back for the cade baos but they were out early evening but it's ok. I got a box of the combination and it was delicious. The box of variety bake goods was good we ate everything. My favorite is the pandan layer cake. We also got the tiramisu cake and matcha cake slice. Tiramisu was very good but it had eggshells in it. Matcha cake was a little dense and not as light and airy and flavor could be better. The service was very nice.

I had to come see for myself what the hype was about w the purple taro buns at Yummy Bakery. The buns are steamed and filled w taro paste. The taro paste is sweetened just right. These yummy little buns are so delightful!!Got a vegetarian bao for my JZ and it was really good too, she liked it a lot!I also tried the beef banh mi. Not only was it bigger than most banh mis I've had, it was also very tasty!! I typically avoid meat banh mis since most of the banh mi joints I've tried marinate their meats in some type of fish sauce base. I very much appreciate that Yummy Bakery does not marinate their beef in fish sauce (thank you for that)!! I saw that they had Yummy Spicy Roasted Peanuts and decided to try it. The magical touch of lemongrass, kaffir lime, Hanoi red chili, and garlic made this snack super amazing!! Lastly, I got the Vietnamese coffee. Rich bold taste, made from potent robusta beans. If you're sensitive to caffeine, pregnant, suffer from insomnia, or have HBP, do not drink this!! It's basically iced meth in a to go cup... which explains why I had the sudden urge to cut all of my palm tree leaves and and am still up at 3am writing Yelp reviews lol! Definitely tweakin' on Vietnamese coffee today, haha!!Great bakery and would definitely go back for the taro buns, banh mi, and peanuts... and maybe the Vietnamese coffee too lol!!So... the hype is real!! Taro buns are actually purple gold!! Everything here is so yummy!!

Tiny parking lot in front of establishment, they offer Al fresco seating, which is nice. It's clean inside, which is always a plus. I ordered 3 banh mis and an iced coffee. The iced coffee was good, it had a distinct taste. The crispy pork banh mi was just mediocre, the pork skin wasn't crispy and the bread to filling ratio was off, they put too much cilantro to fill it up.Important: they charge a 3% transaction fee to ALLdebit/credit transactions. So make sure you bring cash!

Plenty of parking in the lot for this spot and the service was fast and polite. As for the food, it was a meh for me. The bread was really good, slight crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. I ordered the roast pork banh mi. They put a bbq-like dressing on the pork, which honestly detracted from the pork flavor. Maybe if they had a giblet gravy on it or something it would be unique. But I'm not flying or driving back to this spot. The flavor was just not popping. Sparsely decorated place, but they do have a lot of other snacks you would enjoy. They do have a dessert bar with a lot of options for Vietnamese drinks and desserts. You could try it if you want to. All edible and passable but not outstanding in my humble opinion.

Came back for a second time in 2 weeks because my family is addicted to the Taro banh baos that are hard to find in LA County. Had the chicken banh mi today and it was excellent. The baguette was fresh and toasty, and the ingredients inside were so fresh! The cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrots are so complementing to the flavor of the chicken. Just enough flavor until the jalapeno gives you a quick kick to taste buds. Outstanding!! Love the sandwich, can't wait to get another.

That's amazing that the quality of a place is relative to where you are. If this were in a Vietnamese food desert like New York City, then it absolutely would be a five-star place. The banh bao are okay, and the sandwiches are pretty good too. For around 6 bucks, you got a nicely filled sandwich with toppings. I ordered a chicken sandwich, pork belly, as well as the classic. The cafe sua da was pre-made, and served with chewable ice.The store itself is nice, modern and clean.

My family loves the baos from here! We always get the popular meat one with Chinese sausage and egg as the savory bun, and we like the sweet runny egg one as a sweet bun. This place is super consistent and never miss!
