We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great and service was wonderful. The restaurant is dog friendly, and it was fun to sit out on the beautiful patio, have lunch, and sit and relax with our fur baby.We came here for a late lunch and were seated right away. We were so hungry and they put in our orders quickly. The salads here were both healthy and delicious. Our waiter also checked on us often. This was such relaxing lunch on a lovely day. The patio was beautiful, and you could hear the fountain in the distance. The food was really good and the service was amazing. We would love to go back for breakfast here soon!

Probably wouldn't come back for dinner, but happy hour was nice. Our dinner check without drinks (we shared an appetizer, a salad, and entree) came out to be $100 on a regular week night. The main entree which was a short rib with mashed potatoes came out within 5-10 minutes of ordering and was served warm, not hot, as if it's just been sitting in a hot bar waiting to be plated.Nothing amazing about it. Very basic and overpriced. Ambience in the courtyard is lacking. Felt dim and dark and even just having candles on the tables would have elevated it quite a bit and made it feel more lively. Salad lacking acid and flavor. Basic pile of greens with a couple other ingredients for over $20 with tax and tip--no thanks.Elote fries were the only good thing we had. Honestly a bummer of an experience. Was really hoping for something more. Would come back for happy hour only.

No chance to actually try this place since we waited for over 30 minutes at the bar to try to even put in a drink order. Didn't see any waiters that could help us. This was 5pm and it wasn't busy.

We were really excited for the Fall Princess Tea after seeing it on social media and decided to reserve a table for what we thought would be a magical experience. When we arrived, the courtyard was beautiful and sunny, and we saw so many princesses walking around. Everything looked perfect. But unfortunately, after we were seated, things quickly went downhill. We were completely overlooked. While other tables were getting their tea sandwiches and treats, we kept waiting and waiting, despite asking several times. The staff eventually brought out water and tea, but we were served last. By the time our food finally arrived, we had already watched every other table enjoy theirs. The princesses came by to visit each table, but it felt rushed. The larger groups got a lot of attention, while smaller tables like ours only got a quick hello and a photo. One princess didn't even come to our table, and when we tried to approach her, other moms were pushing their kids forward, making it difficult to even get a moment. As the event started to wind down and the crowd thinned out, I had to ask for the check, which included a mandatory 20% tip--despite the less-than-great service. It was such a letdown. The setup was cute, friendly staff, but the attention to guests seemed to get lost in the larger crowd. I really wanted to love the experience, but we left feeling a bit disappointed.

For Christmas Eve dinner, my husband, his mother, and brother, and I came to Ysidora. We had a reservation as the restaurant was quite full and a popular spot to eat on Christmas Eve. The space itself was absolutely magical and decorated beautifully for the holiday. The staff were all very kind and attentive. The service was phenomenal. We were seated on the patio, which was a little chilly, despite the space heaters. Despite that, we enjoyed a decent meal from the prefix menu. We all started with the crabcake appetizer, followed by the delicious salad with feta, walnuts, and sliced apples. For my entrée, I decided to try the shrimp and scallops while my husband ordered the short ribs. I was disappointed by the limited number of shrimp and scallops that were served, but they did have good flavor. As for dessert, this was the greatest letdown of the meal, as the chocolate cake I ordered was quite dry and lacked any real depth or complexity. And unfortunately, my husband's raspberry cheesecake that he ordered appeared to be brought directly from the freezer and was completely frozen and inedible.Despite a few missteps, I can see the potential for this place, and the ambience definitely speaks for itself. But for the price, especially on Christmas Eve, I would have expected much better.

Parking: valet and street parking Atmosphere: it's inside a very lovely resort/hotel that is line with mission architecture.Service: great. The kitchen had left out the salsa for my brunch, but the waiter made up for it, which was appreciated.Drinks: you know it's very high quality when they bust out the clear ice blocks.Food: decent brunchOverall, if I were to return, it would be for refreshments and lounging around.

The Mission Inn is beautiful and Ysidora's Lounge is warm and cozy. We went specifically for afternoon tea and realized there was really only one table indoors. It was a gloomy rainy day so we didn't want to be outside. The hostess asked if we wanted to sit at the table or at the lounge area and I thought it was a weird question because we were a party of 6 and the lounge are was two individual big comfy lounge type seats and one small couch that looked like it would barely fit 3. The hostess actually wasn't around when I got there, for a good 15 minutes. In fact, no one acknowledged me at all. When she arrived and I said I was there for an afternoon tea reservation, she said they would get everything ready. I asked her about the valet validation and she said she didn't know and suggested I ask the bartender or ask my server. So, she was probably new, maybe.Anyway, when we got seated, it also took a long time before our server came by and really, everything was just soooooo slow. She did apologize and said they were extra busy. But they also forgot a lot of things, like brought fruit but no plates or utensils. Then brought tea but not enough of the small plate where you set your tea bag on. Then brought toast and no jam. Even by the end, we had to ask for the tomato mozzarella toast, as stated on the menu and they apologized that they forgot about it. We were there for almost 3 hours because everything was so slow.We were disappointed in tea bags, even though it was Tea Forte, which is a really nice tea bag tea. But still, we expected loose leaf teas. We all like the egg salad sandwiches and the salmon sandwich. Both were nice toasted and tasted fresh and delightful. The scones, macarons, and opera cake all tasted old and were extremely sweet. It actually seemed store bought. The tomato mozzarella toast was ok but it's actually called tomato mozzarella basil and there was no basil on it. The toast part of it seemed like an English muffin. It wasn't bad, just not what was advertised lol.If you have plenty of time, I would recommend giving it a try, it really is a beautiful place and people seem to enjoy the food, not necessarily the afternoon tea specifically.

I attended the tasting of Ysidora's new menu last night (2/27/25). Absolutely delicious! This restaurant is located inside the impressively beautiful "Inn at the Mission" and is highlighted by a staff that is welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Don't miss the steak entree- I can't describe it, but I'm definitely going back for it.
