Pretty good service! You go in and select the items you want (like a buffet). You give your big bowl to the cashier and tell them the soup base you would like and they'll cook it for you and bring it out. I wanted to compare Yintang with Zhangliang malatang. I will say I think yintang's food is fresher but I prefer the Tom yum soup base of Zhangliang to yintang. It's very sour here!thankfully I am a sour lover. Overall though, I had a good experience here at yintang and will be coming back to try other flavors!

Love the concept of paying for what you get! They have so many options to choose from of protein, veggies and other ad ons. My bowl was a little over 1 pound, and I felt really full after. They do fill it up with alot of broth, so be careful on not getting to much stuff, unless you have a really big appetite. I got the Tom Yum, which was on the more sour side, but it had a good taste, not too spicy either. A lot of the things such as water or rice, I had to order by standing up and going to the cashier because no one really came to our table, but you just tell them your table number and they come to deliver it. I would definitely come back, I think it's a unique style of hotpot you can't really get in other places.

Unique dining experience where you get what you want and pay the consequences!!!! In other words, they weigh your bowls and you only pay for what you want in your hot pot. For those dying for the deets: you grab a big plastic bowl, select only the fixings you want (seafoods, sliced beef, lamb, veggies, noodles and more) and choose a broth and spice level (5 soup bases and even a dry selection). And in a few minutes viola(!), a giant bowl appears at your table and enjoy. There's also a sauce area for all you dippers out there! As an added bonus you get a small complimentary dessert at the end of your meal (coconut jello). Yum!Place was very clean and service was attentive.

The best accidental find my friend and I ventured to. It was a cold night and we wanted ramen. Because of the long wait next door, we decided to try something new and chose Yin-Tang. First off, the FOOD is too good to pass up on. Secondly, it's HUGE! Definitely could not finish a whole bowl so luckily we got to take home our leftovers and it tastes even better the second time around. The broth, superb! The choices of veggies, noodles, meats, sides to add to your soup-- both vegan and meat-eater protein choices. And their sauce bar is small but packs everything you need to dip with. Will definitely come back to try a different broth and different proteins and other side add on. These get weighed by the way (without the broth), and that'll determine the price you pay. So be mindful and don't go too crazy at the bar haha

I met up with a friend here for some lunch on a Friday. This plaza has horrible parking and theyre always busy so its always tough finding parking. Luckily there was no wait so we were able to just walk in. So you get a bowl and tongs and you pick all your toppings that you would want im your broth. They have a variety of noodles, meat, balls, tofu, and veggies to choose from. After, you bring it to the cashier and choose your broth (you can choose a wet brothy dish or do dry). I chose the signature pork bone broth with medium spice. They will weigh your toppings and you pay later. You can go to the toppings bar and make your own dipping sauce. They have sesame, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, green onion, cilantro, chili oil, etc to choose from. After you get seated, they will bring out your bowl of soup with the broth that you chose along with the toppings. Overall, it was a fun experience but the flavor of the broth was mediocre. It was a bit bland in my opinion and not very flavorful. I might try the other broths next time and see if I like those more.

Came here for the first time with a friend; it's a small restaurant so I can imagine that when it gets busy, you might have to wait to find a seat. First you grab a bowl and some tongs, and you grab all the toppings you'd like. They weigh your bowl, cook your toppings, and add broth which takes about 10-15 minutes. They also have a diy dipping station which I thought was cool. The bowl is HUGE and you get a lot of broth. I got their signature broth which was really tasty; it reminded me of a ramen broth because of how flavorful and rich it was. Overall I really enjoyed the experience and the meal, and I was even able to take home some leftovers to eat the next day.

I have eaten here 10-15 times, all through my pregnancy and after. I have brought different group of my friends, and the same friends again. These friends have brought their own friends. That is enough to say that this place is really good and meets the needs for a wide range of people! In a large bowl, you use the tongs to grab what you want and then the cashier will weigh your bowl and ask which soup base you prefer. The signature broth is my favorite. The tomato broth is great for kids (no spice). Then they take the bowl to cook your items in the back, give you a number, and they bring the soup to you in a large bowl. As you wait, you can make yourself dipping sauces. I like to combine the satay, sesame, chili oil, garlic, and cilantro together.Sometimes I eat with my eyes while I'm picking items to add to my bowl, and it's way too much food, but it tastes great the next day and they have togo containers for you, too!

It was a bit of a wait to get seated which is normal for a Friday night during dinner time. Once you get seated you free wonton chips for appetizer and water cups, after that you go and build your own bowl and they charge you by the pound. Very casual dining, easy to go over but you can always bring home for the next day meal.
