I love this place!! Its so good. You grab a bowl and choose what you want in your malatang. You can choose from different meats, veggies, fishcakes, and noodles. You then go to the cash register and they weigh your bowl. You can choose from two different soups and a dry mixture (just sauce no broth) and the spice level. I personally dont like hot soup noodles so I chose the dry mix. The mixture has a spicy sauce and a peanut sauce and its so good!! My bowl was less than $10 so next time I go I will make sure to add more to my bowl. But I highly recommend this is a new way of eating Asian noodles and its perfect because you can portion control.

Decided to take my daughter to try this local hot pot spot and I was not disappointed. Located in the same plaza as Baskin Robins (next to the old Smart & Finals and Pho Ha), there are plenty of parking spaces available and there were no wait when we got there on a Thursday night. You pay for the food items by pound ($13.99/pound), and you get a free can of soda if you pay with cash (1 1/2 pound minimum per person). They also accept Apple Pay, which is very convenient. The hot pot comes in a ramen bowl, and they don't offer as much broth options as other similar places. The food comes rather quickly (less than 10 minutes after being seated), and the staff keeps the place clean and constantly replenishes the food items. My daughter and I both ended up with exactly 1.25 pounds of food, and it was $45 including 2x drinks and tips. I give YinTang Spicy Hot Pot a 7/10.

Not much in the way of variety. However, the pork broth plus beef tendon combo is very good. I do come quite often because it is something I like.Service is quite fast, around 10-15 minutes per pot. If you pay cash and exceed 1.5 lbs you can opt for selection of free drinks.

My favorite spot for customized hot pot! YinTang has several locations around the 626 area, and I've been to a few of them--all consistently great. There's a wide variety of proteins and veggies to choose from, ensuring everyone can find something they enjoy. I absolutely love their beef bone broth--it's rich, flavorful, and the perfect base for a hearty meal. The staff is friendly and helpful, though they can get quite busy during peak hours. It's always a lively atmosphere with families and groups of friends enjoying their meals together.Pro tip: they offer a stamp card! For every 10 pounds of food, you'll earn a free pound. Don't forget to ask for it when you pay--it's a great perk if you're a regular!

My first time here didn't know the process works like this: - grab a huge bowl and tongs - get your own hands ingredients from the bar add to the bowl- when finished adding your custom ingredients take the bowl to the cashier for weighing. They charge the price according to weight. Lighter ingredients will cost less than heavier ones like corn on the cob and noodles. - pay cash you get a free drink- choose from three broths or no broth - they take your bowl of ingredients to the back kitchen to prepare- the server brings your huge bowl out to the table - complimentary DIY sauce barIngredients are fresh and replenished.

I initially tried this place at the Monterey Park location and thought it was okay. It definitely grown on me after a few visits. I love the idea of customizing your own bowl. You can choose to eat a lot, a little, all meat, all veggies - totally up to you!So here's how it works:1.) Upon entering, they'll ask how many are in your party and assign you to a table2.) Grab a giant clear bowl and pick your choice of ingredients3.) Head over to the cashier to weigh your bowl and pick your base (beef bone broth, tomato beef broth, dry mix, or vegan - spicy/non-spicy)4.) They'll give you a number bracelet with a ticket showing the weight of your food 5.) Head to your table and they'll bring the food to you once it's ready. Enjoy! The staff are all very friendly and attentive. It's always very clean, the ingredients and sauce bars are really well maintained. They also have napkins and hand sanitizer at every table. If you like this place, make sure to get a stamp card. You get 1 free pound for every 10 pounds.

This place was pretty busy when we went on a week day night. But we were able to sit within 10min. You first grab a bowl and tongs to choose the ingredients you want in the hot pot. The buffet area was kept super clean which I appreciate. I got the mild spicy broth just to be safe but definitely could've done medium for more spice. The staff were attentive and friendly. Overall I highly recommend!

So I'm generally not a big fan of hot pot places like this where everything is already cooked so I had reservations coming here but I was pleasantly surprised. Restaurant was clean and had what I'd consider the most extensive offering of options. Whatever you generally like in your hot pot, they've got here. Everything looked fresh, the serving area was well organized and tidy, and overall just a nice experience.Tried the tomato as well as the spicy soup. Both tasted absolutely great and I honestly found myself not using the sauce because there was already so much flavor. Since we're on the topic of sauces, they've got a little sauce bar with both goma (Japanese sesame) and the Chinese satay. Overall, really nice to have a Taiwanese style hotpot place in the area. I still prefer the old school style but this place is solid.

Great restaurant for made your own hotpot! The service is always fast and attentive, even when they get crowded. I love that you can customize your own bowl completely, so that it is exactly how you want it to be. I've had the tomato and the beef bone soup base and both are delicious!
