I just had a wonderful dining experience at X-Fish, and I have to give a shout-out to our amazing waiter, Daesik! From the moment we sat down, he made us feel right at home with his friendly demeanor and warm smile.Daesik was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. He took the time to explain the menu and offered great recommendations based on our preferences. Our drinks were always full, and he checked in on us just the right amount to ensure we had everything we needed.What really stood out was his genuine enthusiasm for the food and the restaurant--it was contagious! He truly made our meal special, and we felt like valued guests the entire time.If you're looking for a place with fantastic service, make sure to ask for Daesik when you visit. I can't wait to come back and hope to see him again! Thanks for a great night!

Fish is fresh and tasty! They also have a great rice to fish ratio. It can get pretty busy so I would recommend going earlier during the day on weekends. Also finding parking can be tricky. There's a good amount of seating and are able accommodate larger groups. Restaurant seems cleans and has a good ambiance. I've been here a few times but only tried their Omakase menu. They also have their signature menu but for 15 bucks more you get a chef choice's 9 set of nigiri and unlimited bluefin. In my opinion the chef's choice makes it worth going up a tier. However, I don't think it's worth getting it solely for the unlimited bluefin. They mostly use the leanest cut of the bluefin, Akami. So if you are expecting Otoro cuts that melt in your mouth, think otherwise. On a rare occasion we received Chutoro cuts but I would say there's a high possibility you will get an Akami cut. Regardless it's still good but not what you expect when you think of bluefin.

When it comes to all you can eat, you can help but to think about the atmosphere around you half the time. As long as the food is good that is! X Fish Izakaya definitely checks off a lot of boxes and oddly enough; romantic, warm and fulfilling seems to fit in those boxes as well too. Because finding date idealistic places is hard nowadays because you have to be mindful of a lot of things. Is the setting aesthetic and something to remember? Is the food presentable and fun in a way that photos don't create a weird pause between people? Is it even a place where you can relish in memories and conversation in a big open tastefully modernly designed space? Least of all.... is the food good? Is the service accommodating? ‍‍Thankfully... yes! Even the service who prove to be quick, introductive, guiding and attentive to your food craving needs!Let alone with all this combined it definitely proves to stamp what it means to eat a place that has "date night prices". Granted, you get a lot of great options for the price to make that price tag worth.Especially when you know that the food you're ordering comes in portions are easy to handle that are super easy to handle and give you opportunities to try more items on their vast menu selection. I absolutely mean A LOT too! Our favorable mentions; Hamachi Yuzu Ponzu Roll, Xoxo Roll, the quads of carpaccios, and of course, anything that may catch your eye in the Omakase sections!

Excellent AYCE sushi place. This X-FISH is located at the former Sapporo building in Koreatown (Buena Park). So, I've been to the Brea location a couple times. Now I come to this one which is close to my home. It's AYCE which offers Lunch X-FISH which is only available on the weekdays (except holidays) from 11-2pm, Dinner (Signature or Omakase options). I normally go for the signature option which is $39.99... not too bad for quality and cost. Drinks are extra.One of the best things I love getting is those bluefin tuna which you're limited to get just one (2 pieces) if you get the signature option. That's ok, there's other sushi to get like sake salmon, maguro tuna, hamachi yellowtail, etc.For more choices, you can use scan the menu via iPhone or Android phone. Check out the classic rolls, deep fried rolls, appetizers, tempura, and more.For the sushi and rolls I usually get.... bluefin tuna, salmon roe, smoked salmon, sake salmon, yellowtail, lobster rolls, salmon rolls, and more.Like I said, their goodies are sooo delicious. Heavenly good. Wish I could get one of each item on the menu, but unfortunately, my stomach is not big enough for it. Plus there's a charge for leftover, so be careful. Order what you like, but eat everything you order.Service here is amazing. Very friendly here.Overall, if you like going to a upscale sushi place and it's AYCE, this is your best bet.Thanks for reading!!!5 stars!!!

We came with a group of 6 and 1 child. Reservations are easy to make via Yelp. After arriving, checked in and they ensured children meet the height requirement for the half off price.We opted for signature menu for $39.99 per person. They give you a paper to fill out your choices. You can order 10 pieces per person per round and there are 3 rounds.For example, if you have 6 people, you can order a total of 60 pieces from the paper menu. For the premium sushi, you can order 1 pc per person.You can order rolls, drinks, etc from the QR code. Children don't get any pcs added to your order unfortunately. The quality was good for ayce and better than your usual sushi all you can eat. The premium pieces didn't taste that much better than regular and the bluefin tuna most of pieces couldn't eat because the edge was hard.Some of the faves were yuzu yellowtail, baked scallop and salmon.The service was generally good. A few items didn't come out and had to re-order.

Our party of six visited X Fish Izakaya on a Sunday afternoon. Despite there being eight other large parties ahead of us in line, we were seated within 20 minutes of arrival. The restaurant has a clean and modern vibe, with large and spacious tables perfect for accommodating all the food we ordered. The sushi bar, located in the center of the room, resembled a factory with numerous chefs diligently preparing sushi. I noticed they used a roll-making machine to prepare the sushi rice, allowing the chefs to add ingredients with less effort. This seemed to be one of their secrets to their impressive speed.In addition to the paper order form for nigiri and sashimi items, they provided a QR code ordering system for rolls, ramen, appetizers, drinks, and more. This allowed us to order ad hoc without needing a server. Once our orders started arriving, it felt like a nonstop flow of dishes that we couldn't finish before the next one came out. The speed was remarkable, and everything looked pretty good.I appreciated that the nigiri had relatively small pieces of fish atop even smaller pieces of rice, which helped us savor each bite without getting overstuffed with rice. The rolls were about average size, with rice that seemed softer, more compacted, and slightly wetter than other sushi rolls I've had. This might be due to the sushi roll machine they use. The rolls we ordered had a lot of sauces drizzled on top, which is great if you enjoy a variety of flavors packed into each bite.While the quality of the fish and rice wasn't superb and the rolls sometimes had too much flavor, they were good enough for an all-you-can-eat sushi spot with such a focus on speed. I really liked the variety of items they offered, including ramen, udon, agemono, and riceless rolls. The price was excellent for the variety, quality, and speed they provided, and I would definitely return!

I loved the environment, the flavor of the sushi, the rice to fish ratio and the service. Jaden was very helpful and attentive to our table which made my girlfriend and myself feel very welcome. It was not too expensive for a 2 person date, as I recommend their signature AYCE selection. Definately would recommend to anyone looking for a nice AYCE sushi spot in Brea.
