Woody's Diner

After a bike ride down PCH this past weekend, my wife and I stopped by Woody's Diner in Sunset Beach for a bite--and we're so glad we did!She ordered the Eggs Benedict, and I went with the Texas Burger. Both were fantastic! The Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs, a rich and creamy hollandaise, and a nicely toasted English muffin. My Texas Burger was everything you want in a burger--juicy, flavorful, and stacked with BBQ sauce, crispy onion rings, and bacon. It hit the spot after the ride!The diner has that classic beachy, laid-back vibe that makes you feel right at home. Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly despite it being a busy weekend morning. Definitely a solid spot for breakfast, lunch, or just to soak in that Sunset Beach atmosphere.We'll be back for sure!

Ordered a cheeseburger and beer battered fries. Fries were good and I asked for and got blue cheese dressing for dip for my fries. The burger was fair to medicore. Not horrible but not excellent either.I experienced service that I consider to be good.Just one washroom for everyone, inadequate in my opinion though I am glad that paper towels are available.I might come back sometime in the not too near future to try something else on the menu. If I was to assign a letter grade like is done in school, Woody's Diner Sunset Beach would get a solid "C".

I was happily greeted at the door. This location is a small area right off of PCH in Sunset Beach.It seems that there are a lot of regulars that visit here because the waitresses know them by name I ordered a Popeye skillet. I didn't love nor did I dislike it. It was just very meh.I think the potatoes should've been a little bit crispier and because they had spinach in it it made the potatoes a little bit soggy, and there was juice running from the skillet. Just an ordinary breakfast place. Nothing I would go out of my way for. Average, although service was good.

My big kids and I enjoyed a summer day at Seal Beach and decided to grab some lunch near by. We walked PCH, so we would lose our beach parking, and came upon Woody's Diner. It was perfect, as we were relaxed and beached out, nothing fancy.The ambiance indoors gave you a good feel of a Diner experience. There are table booths, as well as stools at the table top front to eat. Clean environment and Staff were very friendly and patient with us, as their menu selection is HUGE. So much to choose from, and breakfast served all day!Prices were medium range, a generous portion, and food tasted as expected from a Diner. An idea of a check amount; four lunch meal plates, a shakes, and a beer came out to $86.A good experience overall and worth a stop if you are all beached out, want something casual, and enjoying family time.

Looking for a local diner that's not greasy? Look no further than Woody's! We had a fun breakfast for dinner night here recently and loved the entire experience. Walking in you are quickly greeted and can't help but notice the fun 1930's and 40's Woody's beach theme throughout the place. It was clean, service was friendly and helpful when I struggled to just pick one thing from the menu (I wanted everything). We all loved our meals and highly recommend it if you're in the area!

UPDATED REVIEW: So it's been a few years since the last time I went to Woody's, which was around 2010-2014. Now, things have changed - and may I say for the better? I came here for lunch just yesterday after a nice long walk along PCH from my house, and the hostess/server just greeted me in a snap right when I walked in. I ordered the Picante Burger, and man, did it have a kick to it; but the beer-battered fries were just to DIE FOR! Crunchy on the outside, hot on the inside (but not that hot when it burned my tongue). The burger patty itself was perfectly cooked, yet the amount of ingredients (pico de gallo, avocado, Mayo, etc.) were on point so that they don't fall out of the burger. All in all, my tab was close to $20 (with tax), and may I say it was worth it, after 10-15 years. Thank you, Woody's!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch as we make our SoCal swing tour. As it was lunch, they were filling up quickly but that did not stop quick and friendly service! My wife decided on their grilled cheese while I opted for the loaded hotdog and a bowl of clam chowder. The grilled cheese was served with beer, battered french fries. My wife really enjoyed it. I thought the loaded hotdog was out of this world and the chowder delicious! We truly love the diner experience, especially at Woody's!

Had the Popeye skillet delicious. Large portion was enough to share, Had biscuits and gravy as my bread choice. White gravy, nice flavor, bacon sprinkles on top. Service wonderful, great meal. Forgot photos as was hungry after two hours of kayaking.

Such a cute little place to eat at where the atmosphere is casual and laid back. Perfect spot for a lunch with a friend, or breakfast with family. I haven't been fir dinner yet, but have had their burgers at lunch and they are delicious. Great service with s smile too.
