Staff had always been so friendly. The food is good and the price is reasonable. They pile up your plate really high.

Sadly the food quality here isn't as good as it used to be. Went here for lunch and arrive at about 11:45 and the orange chicken tasted old.I ordered the lunch special. You get chow mein and/or fried rice with one side with veggie, eggroll and a drink for $5.75. The food was a big disappointment. Chow mein was soggy and salty. Orange chicken was mushy and tasted old. Veggies were okay, just steam veggies. Eggroll was whatever. I remember when I used to go here, the food was decent but now, I wouldn't come back. There's a Chinese place down the street called express wok on harbor and Central next to Home Depot and the Arco gas station. That place is a lot better. If you want something even better, try out Twin Dragon on imperial near Beach blvd. It's in the same plaza as Target and Big Lots.Don't waste your money here.

It's hard saying goodbye to this place since this has been my preferred Chinese fast food joint. After finding several strands of hair in my food, I must question the sanitary protocols of this establishment.

Went to have lunch there and as I was eating my Teriyaki Chicken, I notice something small, round & gold in my food, it was a small screw! I showed the two ladies who served my food with the screw in it, they seemed confused. They called the owner and they all still looked confused. It was a screw from their cooking pot that had fallen into the food. They did not offer me a refund!!!!

The hot and sour soup was so horrific. It was filled with fresh vegetables but odd ones like halved button mushrooms, huge chunks of zucchini, tofu. Even worse was the soup, clearly thickened with cornstarch, and a really funky flavor. THE WORST was that it stained my teeth dark until I went home to brush them. Nasty.

Food is not bad. Not great, but not bad. Granted I tried it @ 3:00 and not at lunch or dinner time. Prices are GREAT though.Cash only.Employees could be friendlier.Food is pretty good but lacks flavor.I doubt I'll go back, but it's worth the try. Just not my fave.

I have quite a history with Wok California. In 2002, when I first moved out to California as a fresh-faced, wet-behind-the-ears 16 year old, ready to start college in a scary new state, Wok was my go-to place for comfort food. My sister and I ate here at least 2x a week (and put on the weight to show for it). I've brought occasional friends to try it out, and I've heard mixed reviews (mostly re: the "bland" rice and chow mein), but for me it's all about two things: kung pao chicken and mushroom tofu. I am such a tofu fiend that I would sometimes order a 3-item combo just to get three helpings of tofu. It's an addiction, really. The workers came to know us and would often offer us "deals" (an extra, heaping serving of an item for $1 more, or free soup, etc.) In 2005, I moved to Pomona to go to Cal Poly, but I actually drove down to Fullerton a couple times to get Wok. Eventually, in 2008, I moved back down to Orange County. Wanna know one of the first places I hit up? Yep! You guessed it! ;)The workers remembered me after a very lengthy absence, and even smiled and said, "Mushroom tofu?" when I walked up to the counter to order. Now that's pretty awesome, dude.

When I need fast food, I go here. The portions are generous and the price is good. Typical steam table fare (like Panda Express). Nothing really stands out but everything is fresh tasting.

So I started a new job in Brea. I began my hunt for local places to eat. Today it was Chinese Fast Food. I wanted to avoid the big franchise outfits like Panda Express, etc. and opted instead for a more local flavor.I donned my helmet and went for a ride around the neighborhood and found this place. I had the 2 item combo with Chow-mien, Orange Chicken (my benchmark dish for places like this) and their signature house dish which was some sort of jalapeño chicken affair. All of it was decent, nothing tremendously special, but the portions were pretty good and their chicken pieces were large and in charge.Be mindful this is a cash only place, and they charge $0.50 for refills on drinks. So I'll keep looking for my local C.F.F. of choice.

Sorry. Not impressed. I got a two item combo which consisted of half Chow Mein, half Fried Rice, Mushroom Chicken and House Chicken. I usually get all Chow Mein, but opted for half and half this time. Should not have. The Fried Rice was hardly fried and was more like over cooked steamed rice with some veggies thrown in. The noodles were okay. Both the Chicken dishes weren't that tasty. The House Chicken looked like the House Chicken you would get at Lucky in Fountain Valley, but totally lacked the flavor and kick of theirs. The veggies in the Mushroom Chicken were on the small side.I was surprised that the portions weren't that big. Less than other similar type eateries that I have been to. Still searching for my go to place.
