Laguna Beach isn't kind to restaurants. This is a town where even the best intentions often meet their end on the rocky shores of fickle tastes and steep rents. But then there's Laguna Wine Gallery--a quiet survivor, a hidden gem that doesn't scream for your attention. It doesn't need to. The locals know.So low-key is this place that even the sign outside is nothing more than a simple drawing of a wine bottle. No neon, no flash--just an understated nod to the treasures waiting inside. Step through the doors, and you'll find something rare: a place that feels effortlessly cool without trying too hard. The wine selection is vast, leaning heavily toward California's finest, with enough options to keep both casual sippers and full-blown oenophiles happy. The food menu? Small but mighty, anchored by that brick oven in the center of the room, a glowing heart that churns out some of the best Neapolitan-style pizzas you'll find in town. Most of the seating is high-top, and reservations are wise--even on a random Wednesday, the place hums with energy. But for my wife and me, the bar is the spot. There's something about sitting there, sharing a perfectly crisp pizza, a bright, tangy chopped salad, and a bottle of Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands that just feels...right. Simple pleasures, done well.Keep an eye on the chalkboard. The daily pizza specials--always inventive, never pretentious--are worth the detour. And if you're lucky, the specials might include something you didn't know you needed until you tried it.Laguna Wine Gallery isn't flashy or showy. It's a place that's grown roots in a town that often resists them. Go there for the wine, stay for the food, and come back because it feels like home.

A wonderful wine pairing prix fixe dinner last night for New Year. Chris & his staff provided perfect personalized service all evening. Opening gratis Prosecco was followed by an Amuse bouche of caviar on toast, then a delicious leek/lardos soup, next a healthy & savory Mediterranean chopped salad, our party of three chose one of the three entrees offered: halibut [yummy], lobster ravioli [very rich], hangar steak [tasty but too tough], and a decadent chocolate cake dessert. We sat at the bar since our reservations were last minute due to our garage door breaking in the afternoon, but it was just right since we got to interact with ebullient bartender, Courtney, and watch the chef[s] at work. A full house of happy diners all around us made for a lovely lively time. Happy New Year Year!

This place 1 is super cool and 2 the food is great. 3 amazing staff. The tacos and meatballs are amazing and great wine selection. But what really made this place a 10/10 was the staff. Especially Courtney. What an absolute gem of a human. If you go tip her well (always tip well) but she really deserves it. This place is kind, wonderful, and a great vibe. Highly recommend if you're in town

Stopped by here as I was in town, and loved the pizza! I generally love pizza so there is a high bar. I ordered the fungi and some white wine and it was delicious. Loved the people watching. Servers are nice. Wine was great (but expensive I suppose). I missed the Happy Hour but it's nice they have one. Anyway, I would recommend coming, it's a great place for dinner!

After a long day at a conference at The Ritz, ten of us took an uber to this gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The smell of wood-fired pizza immediately set my mind on pizza and wine. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Everyone in our party raved about the food they ordered. Our server was delightful, fun, and knowledgable and she managed our party perfectly. I look forward to returning.

Pleasant and relatively quiet patio for sitting. Not right on noisy street. Friendly and helpful service. Food was good. Pizza especially tasty.

Loved this little spot in Laguna! We went for me and my boyfriend's anniversary and it was a great experience. We visited without a reservation on a Saturday night and they were able to accommodate us even though it was pretty full. The vibes were really nice, lots of conversation flowing, and the wine list was pretty varied. We ordered some wings, the caprese burrata and a margherita pizza. They also gave us a complimentary brownie for the occasion--so sweet. All of the food was delicious and the staff was really friendly and helpful despite how busy it was. It did take a little while for the food to come out, but we expected that. We were happy overall with the experience. It wasn't too hard to find street parking and the restaurant is about a block from the ocean if you want to take a walk with a view before or after your meal. I believe the restaurant is only open in the evenings.

Celebrated my birthday not to long ago. Grat Service and food! We were concerned about sitting outside it would be too cold but they had enough heaters and it was perfect.
