We were on a break from decorating Rose Parade floats just a few blocks away and were craving cozy, hot food because it had been a chilly morning. I remembered this place from awhile back and as the first time, it was still so good. I do believe ownership may have changed as the name of the restaurant now reads "Sushi." I ordered the Korean ramen and - oh man! - this hit the spot. The broth was rich and spicy with undertones of kimchi flavorings. There was "egg flower", disks of fish cake, green onion, and shredded seaweed. By itself, this was plenty - but because "more is more" I also ordered the spicy tuna roll. Everything about it was so tasty, spicy, and typical for a spicy tuna roll. The menu is diverse with a range of lunch size and larger bento boxes of various combinations. Everything looked good! They also offered several styles of udon and yakisoba in addition to the pre-fixe salad bar: oriental salad, tomato salad, and one other that I forget. Service was amazing! The owner made us feel like we were visiting a friend's house. So much so that we also got spam musubi, just for asking (it's not on the menu). This was also delicious- picture the perfect portion and crispy edges all the way around. Oishi!! (As they say in Japan). As it had always been, this place is a keeper!!

I had the spicy pork bento and it was delicious. Very good portion size. The tempura was fresh, hot and crispy. Pork was not overly spicy in my opinion. California rolls were also good.

I used to order the Tempura bento box when I have a job in Irwindale so this is a review that had been long overdue. Wasabi had been around for a long time and it's one of those place that get take out quality sushi and Japanese food at a okay price.The Tempura bento box is just as good as I remembered and the portion is pretty good for the price. You will get a healthy mix of sushi, fried food and a salad with the tempura bento box.The insulation with the restaurant is unfortunately not that great so it does get warm in there so I suggest just to take out and eat your food somewhere else.If I still have a job in this area I would definitely visit again more often.

Ordered through Door Dash and ordered the Bento Box of Spicy Pork: The box comes with a good amount of tempura, mainly vegetables (squash and sweet potato) and one shrimp. The tail is hiding in there so I spit it out. lol. The batter is like a pancake mix and it was sweet to me. I thought it was delicious. The dipping sauce for the tempura was light and seemed lemony. The tomato salad with thousand island dressing was fresh and basic. The 4 California rolls were also fresh and the cucumber was crunchy good. Spicy pork was flavorful and not spicy at all. Bed of rice is underneath the meat.The beef rib plate was flavorful! But the meat was not too tender where it "melts" in your mouth. It was like a medium type of tough. But it was an enjoyable chew lol! I would order this again for sure. Try this place out!
