WaBa Grill

Very quick lunch which is what my colleague and i were looking for. Food: I ordered the rice bowl with brown rice and shrimp. Why wouldn't they take the tails off of the shrimp??? Good flavor with the teriyaki sauce but by the time i took the tails off of each shrimp, my hands were a mess. Probably won't be back for the shrimp bowl anytime soon.The chicken bowl special is worth it though. $5 for a chicken bowl and a fountain drink.

I discovered the boom boom tacos recently and now I'm hitting up all and every Waba Grill. This location is off First st. in a shopping plaza so parking is tight. It's a little ghetto as far as neighborhood and the store itself, but if you get it to-go it doesn't matter because the food still slaps! I'm a fan of the the steak tacos and recommend the taco trio as one is not enough but three is just right!

I am ordinarily not a fast food kind of customer. However, last Saturday night, I was filming in Santa Ana ( all night long) and we were given Waba Grill menus to choose from for our dinner meal. Reasonably priced and great options, I went for the marinated beef bowl & veggies. To my surprise, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy in a good way and the meat although a little salty was delicious! One of our crew ordered dumplings that were superb ... we each got a couple and I honestly could have polished off a lot more! They have locations all over Los Angeles, but this was my first time trying their food!I give it 4 YUMS! Definitely a place I would recommend and that is really a tribute to their philosophy of serving fresh not frozen food...

Went into WG for lunch and ordered a mini Chiken teriyaki combo meal and was so disappointed. There was little to none chicken. I did not order a rice bowl with some chicken. I honestly believe they gave me whatever was left from another bowl because the gave me my meal within minutes of ordering. So sad, check your order before you leave and make sure they have you the meat you ordered. I even moved around the rice thinking maybe it was buried under it, nope. Very disappointing.

I don't know what those ladies are doing back there, but that was the best chicken bowl and especially dumplings I've ever had at a Waba grill. And I've eaten at ALOT of them.

Good location. The meat quality is good. I got the chicken bowl with avacado. George had really good energy I'll definitely be coming back!!

Awesome customer service ! George greeted customers with a smile and positive attitude he helped me out was nice told me about their specials ! Service was super fast and clean.

The bowls are all rice and hardly any chicken. They are ripping customers off. Never coming here again
