I'm constantly on the search for a great Wonton Soup. As of yesterday Rice Express had been the best Wonton Soup in my own personal opinion. But today I tried the Wonton Soup here. Hands down better than Rice Express. It's a small place so being patient with the hostess is extremely necessary. She does her best. Taking phone orders, cleaning tables, seating customers and taking orders at the tables. The food is amazing!!! Everything was worth it!!! Please show some love!!!!

Cindy is the absolute best!The sizzling rice soup is an absolute must order dish. I'm so glad I googled "Sizzling rice soup near me" and we ran... and boy was it worth it!!The braised garlic string beans are sooo delicious, with tons of flavor! And super crisp!! And very green and blistered! But delicious!!We seated ourselves and our food came out quickly!! We will definitely come back for other dishes!!!Very beautiful and clean restaurant too, with a well deserved A rating to match.

Let me start but sharing a bit about the restaurant. The waitress is incredible kind and the restaurant looks really clean. The wonton soup was good. Not amazing but better than any fast food Chinese place. What kept this from being a higher rating was the disgusting shumai. The menu has a picture of the shumai and implies they're made in house. What gets brought to your table is over process frozen inedible dumplings. Disgusting to say the least. Look at my reviews I've never said that about any food I eat. Very disappointing

Venus (Chinese Cuisine Restaurant) delivers brilliant, shining service. The lady (Cindy) at the register is very sweet, diligent, and welcoming. The location's interior is also clean. I noticed how Cindy immediately swept and scrubbed the chairs and table for a leaving customer. Concerning ambiance, the location is dimly lit with no sound.I arrived on Monday evening, and the restaurant was almost empty. There's no music; I only heard the faint sizzles from the kitchen and chirping from outside.Unfortunately, the overall food experience is underwhelming. I ordered the Salt and Pepper Fish ($17), Wor Wonton Soup ($16 - Large), and white rice to-go. The Salt and Pepper Fish dish is the sole star.[Salt and Pepper Fish] Delicious! Each bite is extremely satisfying. The texture is also lovely (crisp outer layer with soft tender fish). The scent and flavors were tasty.[Wor Wonton Soup] Bland. The vegetables have a strong raw chewy taste while the wontons were mushy. The soup's shrimps tasted fresh but the broth lacked flavor.[Steamed Rice] The rice had many black lines. I'll attach a closeup photo.Although there were very little customers, the food required 30 minutes to be prepared.Overall, my experience at Venus (Chinese Cuisine Restaurant) is mixed. Service is the highlight. The portions are large. However, the food's flavors are hit-or-miss.

We absolutely LOVED the FOOD AND SERVICE! The spicy shrimp was so spicy and shrimp very fresh! BBQ fried rice was super delicious just like the Orange Chicken and Kun Pao veggies! Definitely coming back!

Truly a hidden gem! I've driven by multiple times and was told about this place by a colleague. F O O D I order through Yelp for pick up on my lunch breaks and they're always punctual with the orders! There are also lunch deals that can seriously feed 2 in 1 order. Salt and pepper fish - packed with so much flavor, definitely one of the top items i recommend Won ton soup- flavorful and great when the weather is cold! Orange chicken- Cannot go wrong with this order!

This is our first time having dinner here. I have read great reviews on Covina fb group about Venus. I also checked their reviews on Yelp. We order the plates in the photos and we also order tempura shrimp and egg flower soup. Everything was very delicious and so fresh! The service was good, but there were only three other families having dinner. Not very busy.

Cindy was the nicest host/server! They are the new owners.We went for the first time and will def be coming back. The food was so fresh and the portions were great.

Our absolutely favorite Chinese food!! Authentic, delicious, hot, and fantastic portions. The food is always brought out hot and regardless of if you dine in, pick up, or choose delivery, the service is fantastic. We love Venus!!!

Ate there Monday, 2/24/25.Kung Pao beef: excellent.Kung Pao shrimp: excellent.Pot Stickers: excellent.Steam rice: excellent.Soup: excellent.Hot mustard was great. Portions could have been more. Will be back.
