#33 in my SOCAL COFFEE SHOP SERIESI've been to almost all the famous Viet coffee shops in OC and this one has to have the STRONGEST coffee by far (in a good way). This place is good! If my Viet grandparents ask to go here a second time... that is how you know it is good. The first time I got the pandan latte w/ coffee jelly & it was okay. But the second time I went and I got the almond coffee and it was amazing! So so delicious, I definitely recommend that one! My family also loved the classic hot coffee w/ condensed milk. Unfortunately, they do not have a lot of lactose free options for folks but definitely ask them which ones they are when you go. The inside is a good size with ample seating. I am sure I will be back!

2025 is the year of banana matchas as it seems every other cafe is releasing their own version of them, and I unfortunately am a sucker for them. I came to this place after a friend had sent me an instagram post promoting the BOGO deal that they had for their new banana drinks a few weeks ago. The cafe itself was very clean, spacious, and had plenty of seating with tables. I can imagine this place would be a great place to chat or study and get some work done. It was pretty busy when I got there (possibly because bogo deals really do bring in business) but most were taking drinks to go. The customer service was good, I didn't get her name but the cashier was very friendly. The drinks however were not to my satisfaction. I got the hojicha banana latte and the banana matcha. The hojicha definitely had that roasted tea flavor but it was also quite bitter, and the matcha was a bit too milky for me. Both drinks were a little clumpy and I sort of questioned if they forgot to put any sweetener at all in my drinks or if their drinks were just not very sweet. I was also sad because I paid extra to get the large sizes but when I got to my car I noticed that the matcha wasn't as filled as the hojicha so it kinda looked like I just got a regular size in a big cup. The banana flavor was definitely coming through for both of them though. Overall I wanted to love this place but the drinks just didn't do it for me, especially compared to all the other banana/banana cream drinks I've tried in OC.

I visited Trung Nguyen for their BOGO deal that I saw on Instagram for new drinks and decided to try the banana cream matcha latte. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. This is the third cafe I've been to that offers this drink, and sadly, it didn't meet expectations.The matcha quality was overly bitter, and both drinks had noticeable powder clumps, which made it clear they weren't mixed well. The banana cream was also underwhelming - barely any banana flavor at all.That said, the cafe itself is small but has a nice atmosphere, and I appreciate the promo deals they offer. While this particular drink didn't impress me, I'd still come back to try other menu items!

Finally tried this coffee shop! I saw they were offering BOGO free on their new drinks on their IG.Parking: They're located in a busy plaza. There's compact parking spots.Ambiance/Environment: Fun fact I learned from the cashier - they're separate from Trung Nguyen E-Coffee, but they use the same beans! It's a small yet cozy space. It definitely has that Vietnamese cafe vibe. They have a decent amount of indoor seating, but it can get tight. Limited outdoor seating.Service: I didn't catch anyone's names, but the cashier and baristas are quick & efficient. Throughput took about 8 min.Drinks:1) Hojicha Banana Latte - The hojicha taste is smoky and sweetened from the banana. The banana foam is thick. I really enjoyed this drink.2) Hojicha Maple Oat Latte - The hojicha taste is definitely stronger. It is sweetened by the maple taste, but not too sweet. I really liked this drink too!Pricing: Oof, prices are a bit more than average for a cup of coffee. Since I really liked their new hojicha drinks, I'd come back to try their popular drinks.

I was very excited to try this place. I'm a big fan of the instant G7 coffee as well and they sell a bunch of various instant and beans from the brand in store. I saw they had a Pandan latte with coffee jelly and it's an uncommon flavor. They had milk alternatives but ran out of oat milk that day so got almond milk. I was expecting something stronger but it was quite milky. The Pandan flavor was also nonexistent. My friends who also ordered the Pandan milk version without coffee also said the same thing. It's unfortunate but maybe that's just not the order to get from this place.

Visited this spot for the first time during their seasonal drink promotion! We tried the Hojicha Maple Oat latte and the Banana Matcha latte. I enjoyed the Hojicha, but the Matcha flavor in the matcha latte was overpowered by the banana flavor. Service was really friendly and I appreciated the promotion! I'll definitely be back to try other drinks.

Came here on Sunday to get my morning coffee. It's a little drive for me but totally worth it. The shop is located in a small shopping center and parking can be a little tough. Once your are in the shop you can tell it's good because there is a lot of mature or older people there hanging out and drinking coffee. So that must mean this is a good coffee place. They have a variety of drinks but I like the Vietnamese coffee with egg foam. It's got the right amount of coffee and sweetness, not overly sweet. My daughter ordered the banana matcha and it was delicious. It tends to get busy but they are pretty fast. Definitely a great spot for coffee.

Banana Hojicha Latte was good. I got 'Less Sweet 75%' and was told most of the sweetness was from the banana cream. Would definitely get this again.We originally ordered 3 drinks. We were told it would be cheaper if we got a 4th drink! There was a deal going on. I appreciate this kind of service. It also let us try another drink which we also enjoyed.We'll be back next time we're in the area!

Quick unique experience. I tried this branch in VN when it first opened and now it's in US. Very friendly, informative and courteous staff. Easy parking and with outdoor and indoor seating. Cozy with music background. The menu has varied type/kind of coffee. From strong to light, from traditional to Italian style...seats in or to go. I got above medium #2 (1-6 strong to light) and hot VNese traditional style (pin drip) with (med condense) milk. Very good, perfect to start Monday.

Such a neat place! Great atmosphere! The hot sea salt coffee was delicious! Could be the best coffee I've had. Also, the ham/cheese croissant was amazing. Definitely want to come back and try other items.
