Music system isn't good comparing to other drinking and singing restaurants Services were very good. Food was just ok

We were invited by a friend to a party privately held here. The restaurant and lounge has the ambiance of both as its name carries. Great sounds. Great band. The food was good. They probably have the best fried rice ever. The hotpot of bittermelon and ladyfish balls was perfect pairing with cognac or whisky. The servers were very attentive. I asked to buy a round of beer for the band, and they accomodated at ease.

Beautiful venue/space.Food wasn't that great.Service was horrendous. It was empty, and we were the only party and they never came to check in on us or pour shots for us.Then one of their little guys came and kept drinking our beer out of our bucket, pretending to drink with us. We left after he drank our 2nd beer.

My Vietnamese friend Brandon invited me here for breakfast and to watch him sing with a live band. This place just started serving food and it was quite good. It has Vietnamese/French style breakfast offerings. The steak I had was garlic infused medium rare tender deliciousness. Served with rice and Vietnamese iced coffee. The service was impeccable. The live band began and people got up to sing ...kinda like live karaoke. The sound mix was spot-on. This place is not too big a not too small...absolutely perfect for events. There's a bar. I had a good time here --food/sounds and friendliness.

Service is horrible, food is not good, ambiance is ok. They charge you $3 for ice tea rip off!!

Was there last Saturday. It was my second time being at the lounge. There was a birthday party taking up a few tables.Excellent food. The lamb, taro salad, squid, fish were great. The fried tofu was a little dry but was still good. Very attentive service. They kept cleaning the table and take away used plates promptly. The ambiance is good for a relatively young crowd.One odd thing was that one of the waitresses came and sat with us and also ate our food. I am a male with 2 females party, didn't need the extra female attendance. They should have asked first. I don't mind sharing food but usually they should ask for permission if they can sit with patrons and eat. What if we were discussing some business matter and they just came and joined, uninvited ? Regardless, I had a fun night and like the place. Will come back.Edit: some people commented that the hostess action calls for a deduction of 1 star and I was too generous with the original 5 stars review. The point is absolutely valid. The service is horrendous! It seems like the owner only likes to hire people that don't really speak English well and have no customer service skills. My friends and I were there on a Friday. Literally I had to chase a couple of girls down to get them to come to our table to take order. I don't see why this place is popular. The karaoke portion sucks. I saw a lot of people yawning like they were forced to be there.
