Overall dining experience at Tokyo Lobby was ok with the exception of the outside being remodeled. Parking was good and plentiful, it's located in a large shopping plaza. Interior of the restaurant was ok..they have some large decorative paper balls hanging from the ceiling, it gives it a Japanese vibe. Staff was friendly and helpful.Food quality was ok and prices ok. Taste was ok but the beef teriyaki was advertised as ribeye, definitely NOT and it was a little tough and chewy. Other than that complaint the whole dining experience was ok.My suggestion would be, when passing out dinners, try not to hand plates over to the other side of the table, walk around and place it on the table. I've seen plates tip over and spill when this is done, not good.

Old establishment. Very mediocre & basic sushi restaurant. Nothing special. Sashimi is very basic.

I hadn't been here in years.. I use to go to the one in San Gabriel back in the 80's and this location since early 2000. Usually the food is delicious however some things have changed, let's first start out with the atmosphere- restaurant was clean even though they are renovating the outside. We were seated promptly- I noticed the music changed too! They were playing a complete catalog of Taylor swift .. I love Taylor However not sure at a Japanese restaurant during dinner. no waters were brought to the table. We ordered drinks- and ordered the Boat for 3 Teriyaki New York steak , Teriyaki chicken Shrimp and vegetable tempura California egg rolls and my friends son ordered spicy tuna roll. Food was brought out promptly- New York steak was very chewy and hard to eat- we ordered it med- Chicken was ok but not the way it used to be to taste. Waiter and waitress were both friendly and polite. I'll be very honest- I don't think I'll be back- I'd rather do Kabuki's for good Japanese food or drive to DTLA to Oomasa's.

We came for lunch for my wife, who was looking for sukiyaki. Well, this was the right place, as many Japanese restaurants don't make this classic dish any more. The food reminds me of the now closed Tokyo Lobby in San Gabriel, but kept the same Boat menu items as well as perfect tempura. The wait staff were quick and responsive with a positive attitude. The surrounding decorations still had a Valentines theme, and was a nice touch. I would come back for more delicious food in the future!

I have not been here for years !!! It was very quiet for a Tuesday night but we enjoyed it though. The meals arrived promptly and tasted good . The interior hasn't changed much either.

Lunch here is definitely more affordable compared to other spots, but I guess there's a reason for that. The food was just okay - nothing really impressed me, and a few things stood out for the wrong reasons. I tried the beef teriyaki, but the beef didn't taste fresh, which made it hard to enjoy. The tempura was better - it had a decent crunch and was probably the highlight of the meal. But then there was the sashimi, and honestly, that was a deal breaker. It was cold, hard, and completely unappetizing. I couldn't even finish it. I rarely waste food, but this was one of those times where I just couldn't take another bite.Overall, lunch here is affordable, but the quality doesn't match the price. I don't see myself coming back anytime soon.

Was feeling nostalgic so we came here on a whim. We used to go to the location on Las Tunas all the time growing up and just loved it. This is my first time at the Hacienda location. Walking in, it reminded me of the SGV location with the old style paper lanterns and wood booths. They seem to have the same menu with a lot of options. I chose to get one of the lunch specials which came with an 8 piece California roll, tempura and teriyaki salmon. It also came with the usual salad, rice and miso soup. Portion size was good for their lunch specials. The salmon was nicely cooked and lightly seasoned and I'm glad that it wasn't overly glazed with teriyaki sauce. California roll was good and was as good as I remembered. The tempura could have been better. It was heavily battered and wasn't as light and crispy as the other location. If you're local, then I'd say give it a try during lunch since the prices are reasonable.

My partner and I came to this place in search of a new local spot. Upon entering, parking was a bit of an issue being in a busy shopping center but we got lucky after looking for a few minutes. The building where this sushi spot is located is still under construction; there wasn't really an issue getting into the building though. The food is what we really came for and with the quick service we had that in no time! We ordered four rolls and they packed them up with so much food that we were full before we got to finish the third roll. Good service and food, if I find myself in the area I would return!

If you're craving sushi or a chicken/beef rice bowls this place has you covered! It's really bang for your buck and really decent portions. It's located close to the Puente Hills mall next to the 99 Ranch market. The restaurant is located in a plaza with corner bakery and other eateries, but plenty of places to park. I'm more of a sushi rolls kind of person and like variety. You can get teriyaki beef or chicken, a side of California Rolls, soup, and a side salad for $20 or less. The rolls are not tiny and decently filled. I saw a lot of people ordering the sushi boats and they looked really nice. They are filled with a variety of things so that's my next thing to try. You know there's a lot of food when you came in hungry and still leave with leftovers. Highly recommend checking this place out!

This is one of my old hangouts from my college days in the 80s. Had a friend in town and we decided to meet here for old time sake. The ambience hasn't really changed from the 1980s, menu items and serving sizes are still the same, only the prices have increased. Food is still the same good quality. Service was good as always. Still a solid 4 star Japanese restaurant.
