Saturday brunch had TJs breakfast burrito --- excellent! --- with a mocha latte. Ate in, calm vibe despite 3 TV screens with NCAA football.Service very friendly, attentive. Only 5 tables plus counter seats, filled with variety of diners including families.Nice place, would recommend it.

Food: I got the breakfast torta 12'. I got the recommendation from the chef to get chorizo out of all the meats. This meal is plenty for one person especially getting chorizo meat. It really does feel like your dad cooked it for breakfast. Service: order at the counter and they deliver it to your table. Ambiance: clean, lots of inspiration on the wall. College games going on at the moment. On three weekends parking is easy to find.

I've been wanting to try TJ's for quite a while now. The amount of highly rated reviews, the fair prices, and great pictures reeled me in. I had high expectations for this place so let's see if they hit or miss. Here's what I ordered:**Huevos Rancheros: One of the worst huevos rancheros dishes I've had in my lifetime. The tortilla chip and my sunny side eggs seemed like they've been sitting for a little too long because I could not slice it up with a knife. Everything here was lukewarm.**Chile Relleno Plate: I've had a lot of subpar chile relleno dishes in the past but this one beats them all at being the absolute worst. I'm used to my chile rellenos having gooey cheese stuffed inside instead of cold/lukewarm blocks of questionable cheese. The plate was extremely salty to the point where I threw over half of the chile away.**Denver Omelette: Do they use real or fake eggs? Definitely fake eggs because it had a very weird bready texture. The potatoes served on the side were salty to the point where we threw 95% of it away. I had ordered sourdough toast that came complimentary as a side but that was nowhere to be found and just had a little thing of jam. When I arrived, there was a table of two waiting on their food, one person waiting for a to-go order, and a phone call with three orders that were placed when I was waiting at the register. They were given a 15 minute ETA so I went with that. I ordered my food at 11:03 AM and did not get my food until 11:28 AM. I had to also ask for salsa on the side and I was given two little to-go cups. The interior has a really weird layout and it looks like it was designed as a to-go type of restaurant because of how narrow it is. The ordering station is tucked into the back of the restaurant so you can't see the progress of your order if you were curious to see where your food is.This little shop is tucked into an industrial strip with no proper signage available. The parking spots are also extremely tight and the road is very narrow. Food is definitely on the more affordable side but everything was so salty. The rice and eggs did not seem fresh at all. The service could be a little better. Didn't know what the hype is for TJ's but it did not come close to my expectations. I'm sorry but this was a one and done for me.

My family and I were in Brea looking for a breakfast place. I could not find anywhere open but found this place when doing a search for places around me. It had great ratings so I thought why not. From the outside it looked like an office building, my daughter was like .. uh are you sure they serve food here. I rarely will say that a place blows me away but man, the food here is goood! It was plated beautifully. I am not kidding when my mom says that she will know a good Mexican restaurant by eating their machaca. She said this was the best machaca she has had. My picky 15 year old said that her hamburger was juicy and delicious. My tacos were perfection. I will be coming back very soon to this hidden gem!

This is a pretty small cafe with limited parking. Tends to get busy during lunch time. The food they serve is like half Mexican and half American. I ended up getting the breakfast burrito and I have to say unfortunately it was ok at best. Lacked seasoning so it was pretty bland. The salsa that it came with helped a bit at least. Also got the strawberry horchata which wasn't that good either. For some reason it was on the thicker side and lacked any of the cinnamon or strawberry flavor.Honestly I will come back here to give them another try and see if the other items are good.

Came in for the first time yesterday, hubby and I were looking for a good sandwich place close by. Walking in was not what I expected. The guy at the counter was very friendly, but I felt very out of place. Maybe it was the loud corridos playing in the background, or the looks from a few of the other employees as they'd walk by, just didn't feel very welcome, like they are only interested in speaking to you if you speak Spanish (which I do btw). I ordered a BLT 6" combo. It came with lots of fries, but the sandwich itself wasn't very good. A BLT on a baguette is for me, not the best choice of bread. The bread alone was great, just not for that particular sandwich. The bacon wasn't too crispy and got kind of lost in whatever aioli was used. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and that seemed to go well with the bread. Maybe this is more of a breakfast or brunch place, maybe more of a to go place. Either way, not sure I'd come back, at least not anytime soon.

Met up with my friend who found this place on yelp. We met here for lunch. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich 12inch with combo and was able to finish half the sandwich and fries. Seasoning was missing something but it did hit the spot. I also order the pastrami sandwich togo for my husband. My husband said the pastrami is a bit too salty. Service was good. Small sandwich shop which was in the industrial area. I did miss the turn like several times to get her because their sign isn't that prominent.

Just stopped by randomly since we were in the area on a Thursday morning, and it was a great find!!! Not too busy, but the storefront may be easy to miss since it's within an industrial strip lot, just read the signs. The food was SO GOOD! My bf and I got the quesadilla plate and fajita plate and it came w so much food! Probably the best quesadillas I've had in a long time, perfectly melted cheese, fresh meat, didn't taste rubbery etc. and the sauces paired great. My bf enjoyed his fajitas, although he said the sauce was too spicy for him. Glad to have found this spot!

More like a 3.5 but it's pretty solid. I would actually be a regular if I was super closeby. The breakfast burrito is not bad and a little different/special. I think if you're looking for a more special breakfast burrito the one they offer then I would say this is one of the place that provides it. I actually thought the beef fajitas were pretty good. I like the pairing of the cheese, and just the overall taste of how tasty it was. I even thought the beans were pretty good too. They also give you tortillas to wrap it in(which i always like). I prob won't be a regular by any means, but if you live close by, I would say it's a pretty good spot to come to.
