Big fan of these pupusas! I always get revueltas and they're perfectly seasoned and soft and delicious! The salsas and cortido are complementary and do not overpower the pupusas. Service is fast too. So happy to have this place in my neighborhood.

It's hard to find good pupusas around here with so many Mexican food options. I appreciate that El Quetzal has brought some authentic Salvadoran food to our neighborhood. I ordered 10 pupusas for an event that I was holding at work. The attendees cleared it out and were raving about the food. It came with delicious salsa and the pickled topping. Everything was packaged nicely and fresh. Ordering was a breeze and they let me order ahead of time and pay when I arrived for pickup. 10/10 we will return. Thanks Tienda El Quetzal!

I really like the Pupupas in this little store. The Jalapeño and the Bean and Cheese are my go to. Cheap, filling and tasty. Can't go wrong.

A true hidden gem! Some of the best pupusa's i have ever had! Delicious and generous! The pupusa pizza is only $20 and it'll feed at least 3 minimum! They also have premium pupusa options with chorizo but my favorite is revuelta with extra beans, curtido, and red salsa! Will 100% be returning!

Tucked away in a strip mall along Chapman, this spot can be easy to miss because the opening to its parking lot is not large. When you walk in, it looks like a convenience store and you order your pupusas at the counter behind a plexiglass shield. Each pupusa is $3.25. They're made fresh to order so there is a bit of a wait time. I ordered 6 and it took about 20 minutes. I tried the beans and cheese, loroco and cheese, and the onion and cheese ones. The filling in all of these is majority cheese and the onions, loroco, and beans are more like a seasoning in that there isn't a lot but you can still taste them. I enjoyed mine a lot, especially the loroco one which was slightly sweet and earthy. For $3.25, I expected them to be tiny, so I preferred 2 per person and these are filling enough where 1 or 1.5 per person is plenty. I would definitely go back to try more of their pupusas because the price and taste are worth it.

It's a little bodega store that also sells pupusas. I always call ahead of time and go pick them up. I always get the revueltas (chicharon , beans and cheese) and the bean and cheese pupusas. They are so good. The red salsa they give with them is also very good. This has become my go to spot for anytime I am craving pupusas.

I'm always looking out for great pupuserias, but unfortunately, this was not it. This is one of few restaurants in the area that accept online orders to go so I took advantage of that and placed my order for pick up. When I arrived, the food was ready to go. However, the owner (or whoever was working that day) was quite rude immediately upon seeing me. She spoke to me like I was the delivery driver and not the customer, immediately making me to show my order confirmation, instead of simply saying "hello". Maybe she was confused, but still, her unfriendly attitude made me not want to return. The food itself was a let down. I ordered 4 pupusas, two with bean and cheese and two with different meats. However, they all tasted pretty much the same. There was little to no meat in the meat ones and everything was heavy on the cheese. Likewise, the curtido did not taste like any I have ever had before. It was completely lacking in vinegar flavor. Ditto the tomato sauce. It had zero flavor and tasted like pureed tomato with no seasoning whatsoever. It was too thick to spread evenly. I can only guess that the people enjoying the pupusas here have not had more authentic ones before.

I ordered 4 Pupusas. Taste as if they were cooked with old oil and not very tasty. I have had better. I was disappointed that they didn't have the correct amount of meat. Mines came with barely any meat. The price for them is not worth it. I do not Recommend for them to be 5 dollars for barely any meat.
