"When I open up my own restaurant, I tell you, people are gonna lines up for miles around, just to get a taste of my food."~James(Tiana's father)This southern restaurant located in New Orleans Square, Disneyland is inspired by Princess Tiana's restaurant known for its homemade gumbo and man-catching beignets from the movie Princess and the Frog. We love the movie, our eldest included! So we were excited she wanted to have her 8th birthday dinner here! We ordered the 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage, House Gumbo, Buttermilk Cornbread, Fountain Drinks, Kid's Baked Macaroni and Cheese and House-filled Beignet. I see why Tiana's Palace is known for their homemade gumbo, we thought they were both incredibly flavorful, the first one was topped with white beans, okra, sweet yams and heirloom rice! Even our 8 month old loved it! The cornbread was amazing as well and our 8 year old loved her kid's meal and beignet we sang Happy Birthday to! I would highly recommend this themed restaurant and we're definitely looking forward to returning to try more! Great customer service and nice outdoor seating area, just make sure to plan ahead since it's a popular restaurant! We came to Tiana's Palace to get a sweet treat during our trip to Disney and WAU I am impressed. We came for the regular beignets and realized they had ube flavored ones... obvi had to order the special edition ube ones. If you love the normal ones and are a fan of ube.. this is a must try. So yummy + sweet and wow I am impressed Disney had ube flavored food items :-) The wait wasn't too long since we came on sweethearts nite -- they kicked out everyone else out of the event so that was nice. I'll be back soon !

They are very stingy and particular with how many pieces of sausages they give you for the gumbo lol. She served the bowl, counted how many pieces she grabbed. Apparently it was too many so she picked out two pieces. Keep in mind, they are tiny cut pieces of sausages to begin which. The gumbo bowl is small, the bowl is narrow towards the bottom so it gives you less than it appears.

Good customer service, the food is okay. I had the gumbo. My niece had the Mac & cheese she said it was hard. So she really didn't eat much. Cute set up but I don't think I will eat it again.

Hey You, Disney Adults! Tiana's Palace was surprise treat we needed to end our night at The Happiest Place on Earth! It's right by the lake with a (ok) view of Fantasmic! The food was surprisingly delicious and packed with flavor. The spicy chicken? Yummmm. I may have gone a little wild with the hot sauce from their dispensers (you can never have too much, right?). The jambalaya and gumbo were solid, though the muffuletta was just meh. My kids, usually more into the churros than anything else, actually agreed that this was way tastier than the other Disneyland spots. No frogs to kiss, no Prince Charming in sight--but happy teenagers? Now that's magic. Who needs a fairy tale when you've got food this good? I'd say this is a solid pick. Btw: There wasn't online ordering available. It was like a cafeteria setup but pretty fast and efficient.

Overall not impressed with the food at this restaurant. Service was like a walkthrough cafeteria which was nice. The beignet was not that great and tasted like it was out for a while. Not impressed with it since it was my first Disney beignet and was disappointed. The gumbo was decent but there was so little rice! The gumbo was spicy so that was good. The best redeeming part of this visit was that Princess Tiana walked around and spoke with everyone. My sister was able to get a picture and autograph.

This is my first time trying Tiana's place!Mobile order online was going to be 1.5 hours long! Do we decided to wait in line to get our food. You get the food in plastic containers so I overheard how soggy the beignets got if you ordered from mobile and waited too long?Usually there's two lines so it would've been quicker but we got in right to the other line before they opened the second line. The menu is on the wall so you can check, mobile order also has the menu and pricing! Just in case the prices change. You get to see them make the seasonal strawberry cream filled beignet! It's cafeteria style so you take desert first then let the server know what you want to order and they'll put it together for you (just like the plaza Inn). We ordered 3 kids meal (2 chicken drumstick and 1 Mac n cheese). Comes with a cutie mandarin and apple sauce sides, milk/chocolate milk or Dasani water bottle. The entrees we ordered gumbo with rice (I wanted the least spicy one so they said the jambalaya comes with a mild spicy tomato sauce). The Cajun chicken is half a chicken with side of pickles, coleslaw, and mac n cheese. Drinks are extra as usual for main entrees. We also got the starberry beignet (which I didn't get to try because they ate it before I can take a bite! That's how good it was?!).The gumbo had sausage which is super spicy to me! I could not handle it but the rest was mild spicy which was delicious. Cajun chicken was juicy! Mac n cheese was super cheesy but because we at outside, the cheese was hard. The drumstick was a sweet bbq flavor, my son ate the whole leg! Rice was ok, flavorful but a bit hard. Overall, very good experience. Would like to come back for the beignets again!

Haiku: Tiana's PalaceIn New Orleans SquareCajun & Creole cuisineFoods a bit salty.---Tiana's Palace is one of my preferred Disneyland dines. I like that this Southern food restaurant has options that aren't all fried, but protein-rich and balanced meals. My usual gets are:- 7 Greens Gumbo with Chicken & Andouille Sausage: This dish is filling and packed with flavor and protein.- Cajun-spiced Half Chicken: A generous half-chicken spiced to perfection. It's juicy and tasty. The mac and cheese was cold and dry and just not appetizing. It would have tasted so much better if it was freshly warm.Tip: Order via the mobile app to skip the lines. Just note the food will come in plastic, to-go boxes. You get real plates if you order at the restaurant. Dining outside at Tiana's Palace is gorgeous and dreamy at night. All in all, I'd come back to get these dishes again and try new items.

Pro tip: This place has lots of allergy food if you have special requirements (soy, egg, fish, peanut, milk). Occasionally you get lucky and you'll see Princess Tiana in here so it's a treat for the kiddos when that happens. I personally was a bit disappointed in how slow this location was. It's set up like an old fashion cafeteria serving style so you'd expect to be in and out.The house beignet ($5) wasn't very crispy and quite doughy. The buttermilk cornbread ($4) was very sweet which again surprised me. I'm probably nit picking but if Tiana hails from Louisiana, cornbread should be savory. The jambalaya ($17.49) and gumbo ($17.49) was a little spicy and quite tasty itself. Sadly the chicken was pretty dry had that papery shredded texture. This is probably one of the few locations you can get spicy food at Disneyland.

A mixed bag of results / impressions upon my first visit... I decided to make it a "Tiana" day and previewed the ride and also had lunch here. Mobile ordering around lunch time will take about 45 minutes to an hour to appear. You can also wait in line, cafeteria-style.I ordered the House Gumbo, $17.49, the House Beignet, $4.99 and a large soda, $5.29. After my Magic Key discount, it was a $25.43 meal. Theme park prices- to be expected...The gumbo was surprisingly spicy, at least by American standards... it wasn't too spicy for me, but I know it would be for a lot of people. It wasn't too salty, which was a pleasant surprise. There was A LOT of meat! Chicken, which was tender with literally only one tiny piece of gristle and big chucks of andouille sausage. I did wish for another scoop of white rice or maybe cornbread to sop up all the extra sauce. Not bad and very filling. The beignet however...how are they selling this? The "lemon" filling - more creme than I expected- starting turning into liquid and running out of the beignet faster than I could eat it. Epic fail. They need a complete redo of this idea. That being said, I'd come back to try other items: cornbread, grits, muffuletta sandwich... I love New Orleans foods.
