I was craving eggs Benedict for my birthday breakfast and had to come to Mini Gourmet! Their food and service, NEVER disappoint! And as you can see, a perfectly poached egg. #chefskiss

Very friendly service, delicious corn beef hash.Both time coming here we were seated right the way. Definitely recommend this place for cheap/good breakfast spot.

Small mom/pop cafe located in the same plaza with the 99 cent store and Leslie in Placentia. Make-shift outdoor dining consists of Theo folding tables and a couple chairs with a heat lamp. Inside is old school diner feel with about 19 booth/tables that are on the smaller side but makes for a cozy meal. Staff seems familiar with a lot of regulars or locals. - Protein Breakfast (eggs/sausage/cottage cheese/tomato)- Asada Quesadilla- Bacon Avocado OmeletteEverything was decent... quaint littl spot in this quiet town.

Well...I first came here in a date with my husband back in the 1980s...and it is even better than I remember! Great food in a simple no frills diner with excellent service. The salsa is so incredible...fire roasted and yummy! Ordered the pumpkin pancake special breakfast... Wow!

This is a great diner! The service was amazingly fast & friendly! I had the spinach & mushroom omelette and my mom had the grilled turkey and Swiss. Both were delicious! The ambience is casual.

Service was amazing. Fast, quick and the food was fantastic. It was fresh and super tasty. Enjoyed the endless coffee and attention to detail. This small quaint mom and pop shop is a hidden gem.We had the French toast special and Chicken Fried Steak and eggs . Perfect size and can't wait for next m.

If you're looking for a great, fresh breakfast or lunch, wonderful customer service, then the family owned, Mini Gourmet is your place. Fluffy French toast, loaded omelettes, consistently filled coffee, always served with a welcoming smile is what I've come to love about this place.

I can't believe this is my first time here because this is just the type of breakfast place I usually seek out. Based on reviews and because I'm a biscuits and gravy fanatic, I ordered the Big Biscuit combo which is two biscuit sandwiches, potatoes and a side of gravy. It's expensive but if they make it right it's worth it. Unfortunately, and despite the name of the restaurant, nothing tasted freshly made. The biscuits, sausage patties, potatoes, and gravy all would be house-made in a gourmet restaurant but not here. The main thing to get right is the gravy which is so easy to make that it's not worth using a mix or a can. The gravy I was served was bland and artificial tasting. I tried salt and pepper but it still tasted like water thickened with corn starch. The biscuits were the doughy not flakey kind and were the same heavy texture throughout which is a sure sign of frozen reheated biscuits. The sausage patties were the only properly seasoned item on the plate. The scrambled eggs inside the biscuits were fine but seemed like less than one egg per sandwich. The sandwich was 90% biscuit dough, 10% everything else. The potatoes were the same frozen shredded potatoes that you get everywhere but these were not seasoned. Overall, it will like gas station food. The service and atmosphere were great, so I hope they can improve their breakfast. See my other reviews to find excellent country gravy in OC.
