Part of the Vons and CVS shopping center with Mendocino Farms on the corner. Kids eat free on weekends as long as you buy an adult meal with drink, and that deal got us to go. Fast and friendly service in a casual atmosphere. We called in our order and picked it up. It was ready on time. If not, order at the register and wait.Both adult and kid option come with choice of meat. We got San Diego wrap with gyro for adult and chicken with fries and saffron rice for kid (kids meal also comes with choice of sides and a drink). Be sure to get the green and white sauce, and note red sauce is hot! The savings made this an affordable meal at just over $20 as of Feb 2025. Food was great, too!

Today was my first time trying The Kebab Shop. Service was excellent, very nice guy looked to be working alone, but not busy. The menu was pretty easy to navigate, ordered the wrap & bowl. The wrap was big, loaded with lots of vegetables or salad inside but very few falafel's for the size of the wrap. I also ate it like it was served & presented, I didn't add extra sauces. Taste was kind of dry. The bowl was beautifully presented & nicely portioned. The chicken was very dry and the rice had no taste. Once again I ate it the way it was presented, I didn't add any sauce. The location is is clean and nice but I did place an online order for pickup. The service was friendly and quick. Plate was ready to go am early too. The food tasted great chicken just wish it was more chicken than Greek salad.

Enjoyed dropping by while I was in the area. I got a kebab wrap with lamb beef doner, and was sure to pair it with the dipping sauces. Wow. The wrap was really good, but add the unlimited sauces and you're in another world. Loved the OG Yogurt and Cilantro Jalapeño. Everything was tasty while feeling like you were making a reasonably healthy decision.Prices were just a tad steep to me, but probably on point for the area. Look forward to checking out their upcoming location close to home in Houston's West U area.

Just picked up my order and went home to find there was no dressing for my side salad. And the spring mix is rotten with black lettuce throughout. This is not fresh lettuce at all. If it wasn't for the rice and steak I would have given this plate a 0. Very disappointing experience.

So I read the reviews , looked at pictures and decided to check it out. It was ok. Not the best! I felt a little bit ripped off actually after welting the huge wrap! Is it big?? Yes! But it's more like a wrap with a cucumber salad and very little meat!! The falafel was delicious! The chicken kabob was also delicious but the rice was horrible. So all in all it was ok. No one was there and the employee told us to use the kiosk. Which is strange considering there was no one there.

OVERALL : Mediterranean food anyone? We've tried The Kebab Shop once in SD, but this was our first time at the Costa Mesa location. Fast-casual stores can be a hit or miss especially when they have a ton of locations, but it was nice to learn that they are still all family-owned. They made a great impression! It was a very relaxed vibe with good music, friendly staff, and good food. Their main menu is pretty simple -- you choose a bowl, wrap, or plate, and your protein / base of choice. They also have a variety of sides and salads (like fries, hummus, falafel, and chickpea salad) and kids meals too. My favorite is their self-serve sauce bar where you can grab as much of the OG Yogurt, Cilantro Jalapeño, and Fire Chili sauce as you need! I love my sauces especially when they are tasty like theirs, so the self-serve aspect is great for me to get as much as I am craving that day! The Cilantro Jalapeño is so yum and I def need to try that on their chicken someday. PARKING : Located in a big plaza with lots of other shops, and there is a parking lot so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a spot! FOOD/DRINKS :The Wrap - Charred flatbread, kebab of choice for protein, OG Yogurt Sauce, Greens, Tomato, Cucumber, and Pickled Onions. We got the carved beef lamb! The flatbread was soft and did not taste dry which we really appreciated! All the meats and veggies went really well together and the variety of textures was appreciated. This wrap is def a filling meal! I might try it with fries wrapped inside next time when I'm feeling extra hungry!The Bowl - saffron rice (you can also choose fries or greens for your base), kebab of choice for protein, OG Yogurt Sauce, Greens, Tomato, Cucumber, and Pickled Onions. We got the carved beef lamb for this one too! This bowl felt so clean and healthy bc of the veggies, and the portion was great. Loved the textures of the greens contrasted with the rice and meat. The pickled onions added so much brightness. Meat did not taste dry and was so yum with the sauces. Would get the bowl again!
