Do you wanna Grind? Free samples - they suck you in like a vortex. The Grind opened up at Los Cerritos Center, serving up New York Style Chopped Cheese, Smashburgers and Loaded Fries. Strolling through the mall, I've noticed & availed myself of The Grind's Smashburger samples, on many an occasion. They're so cheesy & gooey. I've heard about Chopped Cheese sandwiches, a New York staple, so I was intriqued to try one for myself. I assume grilled onions would cook with/alongside the patties), topped with 2 slices American cheese till melted. Chopped up, then topped with shredded cheese till melted. Placed into an Amoroso roll w/ mayo, Signature sauce (spicy, for mine), tomatoes, lettuce, raw onions, pickles. The Chopped Cheese looks small, but it's actually quite hefty & filling. The soft w/ a crusty shell Amoroso roll could barely manage all the juices coming out of it. The cheesy patties were succulent, yet had the crunchy off the griddle exterior. Ordering is cashless via tablets. I asked the cook to add more vegetables to my sandwich. Completion of my order didn't take long, as I watched the cook do his thing. The Grind is located in-between Lupita's Tacos & Ruby Thai. The Grind is a welcome addition the Los Cerritos Center food court. I'm unaware if their Chopped Cheese is a reasonable facsimile of those in New York, but I do know I was quite happy with my sandwich. Diminutive at first glance, The Grind's Chopped Cheese is a great tasting sandwich, and I'm looking forward to having another one as I type this. Highly recommend!

Oh CHOPPED CHEESE...Yes that's right, you don't have to go to New York to try one now. Right at the food court, in Cerritos Mall. No it ain't a bodega but one can't be picky, if you know what I mean. When you get here, make sure you grab a table before you order, it can be real busy since there many restaurants around. Once your ready, the worker will tell you how to place an order from the machine pad. It's simple, get everything on it lol. Before you know it, your taking your first bite and saying where have you been all my life :)

Saw this burger place while searching through Yelp and noticed it was inside the mall. We decided to try it since many were hyping how it shouldn't be inside the mall but have a place of its own outside like other burger place. I guess they meant it's not meant to be part of a food court cause it can't hold its own? I don't know. Either way, I don't agree. I went here hoping for amazing burgers but it's just ok. I truly didn't appreciate that the guy did not listen to my request though and left everything inside the burger. I ended up eating my son's burger which is why I was able to review it.The burger he got was the spicy chopped one with hot Cheetos and jalapeno. It was ok....nothing extra special about it. I also tried my husbands original chopped and he said it was ok too. Nothing too special but we do hope for the best for the business! But service wise, please pay attention to your customers request more. People might be taking those Ingredients off due to allergy and you just never know.

I saw this new place in the mall. Looked up Yelp reviews. Tried it. Friends...DELICIOUS!!! Omg. This little burer spot blew my mind. It looks so small. But it is packed with amazing flavor. I ordered the chili cheese with jalepeno, fries and vanilla cream soda. 1st...Burger gets 9/10. Wow. The chili was amazing. The burger was so good!!! Fries...5/10. Not a fan. They are crunchy and small. I like a good fry that offers a real potato punch. This was bordering on chips. Hubby got the Bbq bacon burger. He loved it. They cook them fresh. Short wait because it is a smash burger. I did not see an option for double...but would be nice. Def going back. This one is certified good.

The food was delicious. I had the chili burger and wow. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did. I dont normally leave reviews for mall food. But this place deserves it.Only wish they did refills, even if I had to pay a dollar, but I had to pay full price for using my same cup. But other than that. Great experience.

This was my first time trying NY chopped cheese and it was really good. Service was nonexistent as you order from the kiosk but workers are available to help. It's located in the Cerritos Mall food court and there were plenty of seats and tables. Overall, I'd come back and try other items off the menu.

I got the NY chopped cheese sandwich.A New York staple without having to fly 2700 miles to a NYC bodega! The toasted artisanal bun gives it the perfect texture in every bite. You can tell they pick quality meats as well. Recommend this place for a quick bite after a long shopping haul!

The food was pretty good, got me a burger and fries. The burger was definitely too smashed tho comparing it to the other reviews my patty was literally just flat. They almost forgot to give me my drink i didnt get it until i asked for it when i got my food. Their only sauce is thousand island so if you want ketchup on ur burger u have to add it urself. I kinda wanna go back and try a chopped cheese.

Despite being in a food court in a mall, it was delicious and service was fast. I can't wait to go back.
