The Filling Station Cafe

I Stan the filling station! The vibes are everything you want for a brunch spot. The outdoor seating area is so cute and the inside is quaint and cozy. The chilaquiles are amazing!!! I love trying new dishes but honestly the next time I come I'll prob order it again lmao. Always gotta order a sweet dish for the table and their pancakes, esp their speciality ones, are fluffy, moist, and just divine. It can be a long wait during the weekend, but go head and put ya name on the list and walk around the block and get ya appetite up!

This is in a great location and has indoor and outdoor seating. However: the coffee is gross (too strong/not nearly hot enough), and the service leaves something to be desired. With so many breakfast places to choose from, I'd give this a pass.

We need to come back here more often! We came on a Tuesday around 12pm and were sat right away. We sat inside as most people did because of the heavy wind.Our sever was very polite and we got our food pretty fast. I got the eggs Benedict and hash browns which were delicious, my cousin got the machaca and eggs, and my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken salad (not on the website but still on the menu). Most tables have a nice view of at least a few of the Old Town Orange buildings which I think give it a cute, trendy, cozy vibe.

First time visit and I am blown away!! Cute little spot, very lively, inside and outside seating, excellent service, to die for food. We ordered the 1/2 soup and sandwich (chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese) and the croissant sandwich. The soup with grilled cheese was the most comforting meal on a nice chilly day. I also ordered a hot tea for added comfort! The servers and employees were all on top of it, working quickly and efficiently. We sat at the bar top and were able to see so many different meals coming out of the kitchen, all of them looked amazing. We can't wait to come back and try more!!

Average breakfast spot. Ordered the steak & eggs as well as the pancake breakfast--it was all exactly what I'd expect from a diner style breakfast place. Nothing was bad, but nothing to really rave about either. We asked for medium well for the steak, but it came out more of a medium rare to medium.The place was very crowded at 11am on the Friday after Christmas, but luckily there was only a 15 min wait for our party of 4. Parking was a nightmare, as downtown orange was pretty packed in general.

A no frills diner with friendly staff and huge portions. A lot of the dishes were almost 20 bucks so it's not cheap but as the name suggests... it's huge portions so you'll be filled up for sure. They do charge a split fee if you and someone share an entree soo.... be prepared for some to go boxes. Filler station burger: Maybe get?It was a decent burger but was kind of dry and needed more sauce. Patty was cooked well though. Fries were nice and fluffy and seasoned well.Country fried steak: Maybe get?The steak with the gravy was yummy and comforting. The hash was soggy... Everything else was also just okay.PSL: Get! If it's the season, this was an amazing latte. A warm, well balanced latte that'll bring you joy on a brisk morning. It was a touch too sweet but still very enjoyable

This place is a very cute brunch spot. I came here with my friend on a Friday afternoon and had a lovely time we were seated quickly at the patio area. This place is also dog friendly and brought water for our dog. The patio area has plenty of shade.For food, I got a French dip sandwich, which was delicious. The roll was soft and the meat to bread ratio was very generous. Each sandwich comes with a side of fries, fruit, or salad. My friend got the veggie sandwich and the grilled veggies were great but lacked seasoning. The sweet potato fries were crispy and soft on the inside. Their ranch was good too.

This place is such a great little venue. One of my favorite things is the heated tables. Definitely need to get one myself. We sat on the patio, which was clean and well shaded. The hostess was very pleasant. Our waiter was having an off day it seemed; he appeared unhappy to be there and was forgetful of some things. The food was pretty good. I asked for my steak to be medium rare and it came out well done, so that was unfortunate, but everything else was perfectly cooked and flavorful.

My first time here, I went with my coworkers for breakfast and had a great time. This time, we were in town and took the family out to brunch. How cute is an old gas station converted into a restaurant?The wait time was about 20-30 minutes. We let our kids walk around town while we waited in front. When it was our turn, we were ready to be seated. Our server seemed preoccupied because it was very busy. We got our foot but there was a wait for my son and his gf's food because we ordered breakfast and they ordered lunch. Nevertheless, our son finished before the rest of us! This place is good for groups but be prepared to wait for your table. Food is served fairly quickly upon ordering. They are dog friendly but there is a "dog etiquette" sign before you enter (obviously not their first rodeo).Parking is a challenge in Orange, but there is a parking lot down the street, off street parking and a parking garage a few blocks away.

Food was great and service was good. Big portions and good value. I got the breakfast burrito and would dine again!
