The Cheesecake Factory

Had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory in Brea, and it was a great spot for a family meal! Free parking is always a good thing. First things first--the bread and butter. We LOVE it! The warm, slightly sweet brown bread is always our favorite, and we couldn't stop eating it. Honestly, we could just come here for the bread alone! For our main dishes, we ordered the Jambalaya and Grilled Salmon. The jambalaya had a good kick and was packed with shrimp, chicken, and sausage--super flavorful, though a little on the salty side. The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked--moist inside with a great sear on the outside.The kids had Meatball Spaghetti and Bow Tie Pasta with Cheese, and both were a hit! The meatballs were tender and flavorful, and the bow tie pasta was simple but perfect for little ones.By the time we finished, we were way too full to order cheesecake, which was a shame because that's usually a must! Service was great. Server came and asked kids if they want to add more cheese on top of their pastas, which was very nice. The vibe was nice and my kids really enjoyed the meal. Next time, we're saving room for dessert!

The Cheesecake Factory is always a good place to grab a bite to eat. There are so many different items on the menu, even if you have no idea what you are in the mood for, something will jump out at you. This location is usually very busy and I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time on their website to minimize your wait. Parking is usually hit and miss, especially with all of the construction currently going on at the Brea Mall. I think they recently started offering valet parking, but we got lucky and found a spot close by. Upon entering, you can't miss the display featuring many slices of cheesecake which will have you drooling before you are even seated. I always enjoy the décor, dark ceilings, and dark booths which give the restaurant a warm feeling. We were seated with no wait on a late Sunday afternoon.The delicious basket of warm sourdough and molasses bread quickly arrived at the table along with our drink orders. For the diet conscious, they have an extensive "SkinnyLicious" menu which has a lot of great tasting and filling entrees with only 590 calories or less. One of my favorites is the SkinnyLicious Tuscan Chicken which I ordered again on this visit. It comes with three good sized chicken breasts, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, asparagus, and capers served over a bed of farro with a balsamic vinaigrette. I can never finish the whole dish and always have some left to take home. I often order the SkinnyLicious hamburger too which is a good sized burger and comes with a green salad to keep it light. Some of my regular menu favorites are the crispy pineapple chicken and shrimp, bang-bang chicken and shrimp, and the steak Diane. Other dishes enjoyed on this visit were the SkinnyLicious crispy chicken sandwich with Sriracha mayo, and the macaroni and cheese burger.We were all stuffed after our entrees but we all ended up ordering a slice of cheesecake to-go. I got the Hershey's chocolate bar cheesecake which is one of my favorites. We also got the pineapple upside-down cheesecake and banana cream cheesecake.I highly recommend signing up for their rewards club. You'll receive a free slice of cheesecake for signing up, another free slice on your birthday (which I took advantage of on this visit), and other promotions and offers throughout the year. The rewards club also gives you access to the online reservation system.

Ambiance: The service was great!Taste test: Everything was tasty as usual. The avocado egg rolls didn't seem to have a lot of salt in them. Highly recommend the lettuce wraps!

I love Cheesecake Factory but this location is always packed and the service is not as good as other locations. We always seem to wait long times to get seated, the seats are so crowding and the servers are always busy because they have so many tables to attend to. The food is great and yummy tho. My favorite is the crispy chicken Romano! Also ordered the kids burger! Yum!

Wifey and I closed out our movie date night with coffee and dessert at The Cheesecake Factory. The restaurant's grand, over-the-top decor--think Egyptian Revival meets Art Deco with a touch of Mediterranean flair--sets an indulgent atmosphere, though it can feel a bit excessive. Ornate columns, faux-finished walls, and oversized chandeliers give the space a unique vibe, but the overall ambiance feels more theatrical than cozy.Service was on the slower side, which was a bit disappointing given it wasn't peak hours. However, the dessert made up for some of it--the carrot cake was so rich and decadent, I could probably fast for two days and still feel satisfied. Coffee was solid, nothing exceptional.Overall, the experience landed squarely in the middle--decor, food, and service all hovering around a 3-star experience. Not bad, but not necessarily a must-return spot anytime soon.

Came in on a Friday night to pick up an online order. It took the staff 30 mins for a single slice cheesecake that was preordered and prepaid for. I love the cheesecakes, but wish they'd find a more efficient way to manage the cheesecake orders for to-gos. We got the Godiva and Strawberry cheesecakes. The Godiva was very rich and chocolatey, the strawberry was a traditional cheesecake w/ glazed strawberries and cream.

This location is always busy... my advice is to make an account with them so you have the option for a reservation. (Plus, you'll get a free cheesecake slice for your birthday... any flavor)Parking is quite hectic rn with all the mall construction, but they do offer complementary valet if you're interested. Service is so so. Sometimes great and other times not so much. Our last visit was awesome and service was spot on. I did the skinny chicken chopped salad. It was massive... easily two servings! Also, the cucumber lemonade is a must try along with the key lime cheesecake.

I dined here alone on Friday evening. I was not given the right order. When I told my server Heather she didn't make any effort to fix it and all she said was sorry. I had wanted a side of the pasta and I said spaghetti with marinara sauce that you normally get with a Chicken Romano. She came back and said she couldn't do that so she placed a kids pasta order for me. It came with Bow tie pasta and I told her that's NOT what I wanted. I didn't want to make more of a fuss about it so I just kept the order. Service was not as expected. I've been to other Cheesecake Factory locations and was able to order this as a side.

An hour wait for a majorly skimped meal... I ordered the Steak Diane and Shrimp Scampi and it came out with like 4 sad pieces of steak and a little bit of mashed potatoes...The meal tasted good but at $28.95 a plate, it felt like a total rip off. They advertise this meal in pictures as having way more food. This was sad not cool!

Food: pretty good. I ordered a mint mojito, Asian Chicken Lettuce Wrap Tacos, and a strawberry cheesecake. The lettuce wrap tacos were really tasty and surprisingly filling. The cheesecakes at Cheesecake Factory never disappoint!Service: the lower rating is because service was mediocre. Our waitress was nice, but it was so busy they seemed to forget things like my friend's salad dressing. I asked for a straw and never got one, and getting our waters refilled was a challenge, especially for someone like me who drinks water pretty quickly. Ambiance: Cheesecake Factory is great to celebrate special occasions, and the booths we sat in shielded us from a lot of the noise. It definitely has a nice ambiance!
