Thai Tangerine Restaurant

So glad we found this place in walking distance of Great Wolf Lodge! My friends were in the mood for Tom yum and I was craving pad thai, so luckily this place popped up on the map. Their food tasted authentic and was a great price for the portions. Tom yum was really good - we got it with chicken and it had just the right amount of tang! The pad thai was also amazing, flavorful and saucy just how I like it! We actually plan to grab the pad thai again on our way out this weekend. I also had been craving a few other dishes that my parents don't make very often, like the glass noodle salad and kai kua noodles - those were good too, but not much beats my parents' cooking! Lastly, my friends got the green curry with shrimp that they really liked, which I'm glad they were able to deviate from their usual yellow curry and try something new.Overall, our waiter was so sweet and attentive, and the restaurant had plenty of seating on a Friday night, so give this place a shot and show them some love!

Food was great, and the restaurant was packed, just about every table was taken. Our server managed to get everyone served, and taken care of within a reasonable time frame. There was 11 of us, with a reservation, and about the same time we came in, a huge group of maybe 22 came in.Our server was terrific, she handled all the people, take out orders, seating everyone, and delivering drinks, waters and appetizers, then our dinners. We were amazed at the service, considering the amount of people this one lady had to serve. She even got us out on time to head over to a show in town.We all agreed we would definitely be going back here and the decor was very cozy with nice surroundings. The menu was huge with great photos of all the various dishes.

I ordered pad thai delivered to my hotel. Chose this restaurant due to proximity and the high yelp score. Food arrived slightly earlier than expected, still hot, and packed nicely with a fork and napkins. The food itself was not what I expected. Pad thai is sometimes orange, sometimes brown, but this was yellow. No peanuts, no carrots, sprouts mixed in and cooked. It looked and tasted like yellow curry fried rice, but made with the noodles typical for pad thai. Not bad per se, but not pad thai. I left feedback for the restaurant wondering if they'd perhaps sent the wrong food, but didn't get a reply.

We walked in and waited about 5 minutes for a table to open up. There was just 1 young lady being the server, the waitress, the table cleaner and cashier. We waited a while to order, and our food took just as long. The service was friendly, but I do think they were a bit understaffed that day! We ordered the veggie with beef, the calamari, the salad, and tom yok soup, ALL ITEMS WERE DELICIOUS!! Everything came out pipping hot and was yummy. The inside is really well kept and its really nice for dining. I jus wish the service was a little more attentive.

To go review:We ordered our order today before 6:00 pm and we were notified that it was available at 6:20. It has been a while since we have been here but the place was consistent and really good. We went with the shrimp roll appetizer, shrimp yellow curry, shrimp fried rice and Pad See Ew shrimp. Everything was terrific and when asked if they have plates, they did not but offered us bowls. It was slow inside but the staff was attentive and nice. Our son remembered coming here for their shrimp rolls and our pickiest eater enjoyed it.

The restaurant is located in a shopping center which has lots of ethnic restaurants. We chose this Thai restaurant during our business trip. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and authentic. Also it was in a walking distance from the hotel we were staying. Strongly recommended.

I've been to this restaurant twice and in both times I think they're an amazing Thai place in Garden Grove --great food with warm and cozy ambiance, plus courteous staff. I did online ordering this time as my co-worker and I had a craving for Thai, and the process was seamless and smooth--the website directs you to Doordash where I selected pick-up. No fees, all I had to pay was the actual cost of my order. I picked up our order after 45 minutes and was very pleased with the process. My Shrimp Fried Rice was, as always, so flavorful and delicious, and the Thai tamarind sauce of my Crying Tiger was so yummy, the beef so tender and well-flavored. My coworker ordered Pad Thai and she loved it.I'm very pleased to have found another restaurant with an easy online ordering process for order pick-ups.

This is a nice and cozy place off of Harbor Boulevard.We were greeted warmly and the place has a clean and modern look with a Thai restaurant feel.The vibe is very chill.The server was very nice but we never got her name.DRINKS:Thai Tea:This is solid. The presentation was nice with the condensed milk floating nicely and it tasted wonderful!Thai Iced Coffee:This was also solid and delicious! Presentation was also amazing!FOOD:Crispy Shrimp Rolls:These were okay. Pretty standard, but the cook on it was good with a nice and crispy exterior. The shrimp inside is thin so you don't get a lot of it in a bite, but the ratio of wrap to shrimp is good. They are just very small.Pad Thai with Chicken:This did not have peanuts on it when it arrived and the server said it is because they know a lot of people have peanut allergies. She brought some out right away and also some lemon slices and pointed out normally they have limes with it, but they had lemons.This was tasty. The flavors were subtle and I normally like a stronger taste. Pad Thai has such a distinct flavor that I love so I only wish it was more pronounced but it was better than some of the other Par Thais I have had in the area.Chicken Satay:The chicken is a little dry, but the sauce does well in remedying that. The overall flavor is very nice. This came with a peanut sauce and a sweet and sour sauce. Both work well.Yellow Curry with Chicken:Again the chicken was a bit dry, but it is hard because the chicken is cut so thin. The flavors were awesome!!! This had a punch of flavor that I was missing in the other dishes.Sweetheart Mango with Rice Pudding:This was delicious! Not overly sweet and the fried soy beans on top adds some wonderful texture. Probably the best I have had in the area.Overall the service was really great and the food was good with maybe just a bigger punch on the flavor. The curry was amazing!I would recommend giving this place your business as Thai Tangerine shows a lot of promise with maybe some tweaks.The portion of the food was also great for the price!A solid 5/5 for me overall.

Wow, if you are around this area craving some Thai food, you should check Thai Tangerine out! Fresh ingredients, flavorful dishes and fantastic customer service! I ordered:[Shrimp Tom Yum Soup]The shrimp was so juicy, tomato's burst in my mouth and the soup was perfectly flavorful. The lime was well balanced. [Chicken Pad See Ew]Chicken was not dry which is the normal case for other restaurants! The broccoli was well cooked and I could tell the ingredients were fresh! [Beef Pad Thai]I was also impressed by the pad thai too. Again, the ingredients were fresh, the sauce wasn't overbearing and the fresh ( sprouts and carrots) & cooked ingredients mixed well together. [Mango Sticky Rice]This was a piece of art in my mouth. The sticky rice was delightful and complimented the mango very well.Service was excellent!!! What a GEM! I would definitely visit again!

The man who is the host of the restaurant (an older gentleman with grey hair and glasses) is extremely rude and hostile. Did not acknowledge me or greet me or even when i left. i will never come back.
