Thai Excellente Restaurant

Not many Thai restaurants is La Puente so when I was in El Monte, I had to try this spot no matter if it was a little hole in the wall. I'm not a big milk tea fan but there Thai Tea was might have changed my mind, it was really good. I didn't get any main dishes but I had gotten the THAI EGG ROLLS AND FRESH SPRING ROLLS, even with these orders it filled me up and everything was freshly made. My favorite was the egg rolls, with the chili oil that you have to add into the sweet sour sauce. The hospitality that I had receive walking in was like if a Thai aunt was serving me, so much love and care. I had caught her sometimes looking and had a smile on her face as I enjoyed the food.This place deserves more people!!

I have been coming to this restaurant since the 7th grade and the service has been amazing. The food is amazing as well. My favorite dishes are Chicken Pad See Ew and Tom Yum soup. Definitely try the Thai tea and Wontons! Come here for a chill ambiance and delicious food.

Food is delicious and affordable they cook it fresh after you order it. It's a small place that can be missed

I came here randomly on my way home. As soon as I got to the restaurant i was a little worried. It really looks like a hole in the wall AND when I went on a Sunday evening there was no one there. And I was like this got 4.3 on Google Reviews?But everything started changing when I went inside. The ladies working the register and cleaning the restaurant were really nice. They are Thai/Chinese staff, and while their English is limited, they were so welcoming and nice. They almost gave me the feeling they were aunt-like. Then I ordered a chicken pad thai which I was expecting to be 15-16 bucks but no, it was $10. What a great price. I wanted to make the $15 credit card minimum so I got some cream cheese wontons. So, the price was really great. I pay more at McDonalds for less food. Then when I got home and started eating, I became impressed by the chicken pad thai. It was sweet, salty, tangy. It was fresh, had fresh vegetables, and the amount they gave was awesome for $10. I really enjoyed it and ate it all. Great pad thai. The cream cheese wontons were okay. They have flavor, just feel a little too naked. I may not get it again. But they weren't bad. All in all, what a great little surprise of a restaurant. I would stop by again for food. I would say this a 4.3 is a good rating for the restaurant but I'll give it a 4.6 with nice aunty vibes included.

Not sure why I keep coming back here. I know. It's because of the food. Restaurant is warm inside. Portions have become tiny. You'll get your drinks with your food. No lunch specials. Server wears a mask.

Ambience: small dining space. Seats about 16. Could use a make over, but it's a small mom and pop business. No a/c inside only a floor fan. Dress accordingly.Service: could be a hit or miss. Food: Lunch special only served with rice. it used to come with an egg roll and a small soup. It's pretty flavorful but some dishes are on the sweet side. It's a few blocks from my work so I do go occasionally.

Pretty average neighborhood Thai restaurant.Price is pretty good & serving is pretty decent.Got the orange chicken & Thai tea. Quick & easy lunch!

Food was great! We always order chow mien with seafood soup! and occasionally fried rice. It was great, and surprisingly a small place. We were greeted by a lady who is usually depicted as rude in reviews, but to us was nothing but kind and patient! Yes, it is a bit awkward at first because its usually empty, but that doesn't take away from the fact this place is a hidden gem. You can tell the food is very carefully made, and homemade. Totally recommend.

Reasonable prices, great service; the lady here is very kind. The food is savory and flavorful, adding a great taste. Overall my first experience here is wonderful; I'd surely come back soon for another taste again.

I found this place from a friend. It's truly a hidden gem. Small place, but food is great at a very affordable price that you couldn't find anywhere else. Service is great, especially from the lovely Mama Noi. Very recommended place.
